  • Dr Dray - I just love these blogs - you have such a great sense of humor combined with such sage advice on skin care - it’s like hanging out with a good friend. I especially love how you think out loud sometimes - too cute! Thanks for keeping us entertained and giving so much of yourself. God bless!

  • Thank you Dr. Dray for taking us with you to the mall and bringing us that holiday mood, it felt like I was going and hanging with a good friend the whole time😊 I love and appreciate your help and advice.. watching your videos always helps me wind down or start the day with good vibes. I'm from India and I really wish we had access to half the products that you review on your channel, but for the ones that we can get a hold of, buying them is made easier listening to you. Thank you, I hope you have a great winter season ahead!

  • I always love a good Mall, and a good Dr. Dray Sunday vlog. 👍 I use a Conair hair dry brush, with 2 attachments, and use the more comb-like attachment due to my thin hair…but it does the trick, initially, until the thins wins, but thank goodness for my big ears and ability to put those strands behind them. You are about as perfect as they come, Doc, and your hair is gorgeous! A simple genuine beauty wins the race, I always say. Have a great week, Doc. 🌻

  • I love this revlon one step volumizer. It works best when hair is nearly dry imo. This adds time, but is still much quicker than blow drying. And it comes out straighter, (yet voluminous), frizz free and shinier. You can have ends flip under, flip up, or very straight. I have yet to use it in the summer. I have fine hair with some wave. Easy to use. I use a heat protectant prior to use. I highly recommend that.

  • Hi Dr. Dray, The Christmas decorations in the mall are beautiful. Love that skating rink. I have the Revlon Styler, it's a nice product but I don't use it too often because my hair is delicate. It actually got me through the worst part of 2020 when the salons were closed. Have a great week.

  • I have the original Revlon One Step Volumizer and I'm glad they included the "Medium" level since mine only has Cool, Low and High. Few tips: always use a heat protectant before use, be sure your hair is at least 80% dry (think of it as a finishing styling tool) and use the Cool option to lock in the blowout to help limit the frizz.

  • I love the revlon thingy! I have long hair and I’ve been using it for 4 years. My tip is to use it when hair is 80% air dry. And always clean it after like when you use a regular brush. There’s hair residue in the brush, you want to remove it bc if you don’t it will burn and use more heat. That’s why some people says it sucks or stopped working.

  • I have the Revlon brush and I love it. I wrap my hair up in a twist and wait until it is damp. Then I apply a heat protectant and only use it on the low or cool setting. My hair is very fine and thin and have found this tool to be much more gentle than using a blow drier and round brush. Also it is easier for me to handle since I have rheumatoid arthritis. Love your vlogs!

I did buy an amika one to see if it would be better to get a really sleek look but it’s not 😢 the revlon is a really great buy and much easier than using a round brush/blow dryer. • I think you might be talking about a curling iron, the kind with a clamp. Curling wands don't have clamps and are super easy to use IME. The problem some people have with them is that their hair may slip off or they may not get as tight of a curl since it doesn't havethe tension of a clip which is why they are more often recommended for beachy waves and natural looks. You can get the same kind of flat wrap curl with them but it requires working faster and more intently. Go for a wand or buy a curling iron and remove the clamp if you can unscrew it. You can also try to wrap right over the clip as if it wasn't there or keep it open the whole way. You can get around having to use it as designed. Some leave a kink anyway because they are too tight or poorly designed, clamp is not supposed to be excessively tight

  • I realised I own 3 heated round brushes! They are all revolving ones (that you can also use without pressing the barrel spinning button). I have ultra straight Caucasian hair, so these brushes don't really achieve any type of wave/body that actually holds for more than 5 mins! Heat protectant alone doesn't do anything to help this aspect. Styling sprays make my hair lank & stringy. Regular mousse makes my hair non-bouncy, crispy & non-combable. However I am really pleased with my recently purchased John Frieda Air Whipped Volume Lift Foam (lightweight volume lifting mousse for bouncy, touchable softness, with Air-Silk technology for fine or flat hair). I rake it through my hair with my fingers applying it to the roots, lengths and ends and then the heat protectant spray. I then dried my hair mainly with my hairdrier and then with a heated revolving round brush. I then used my fabric covered soft foam rollers (with bendy ends). I then have a lasting wave with curled ends after a couple of hours... and a more definite smooth curl after more time/overnight, that holds until the next day (with a fine mist of hairspray). If I leave my hair to dry naturally, I can just use the JF foam/mousse and skip the heat protectant spray before using my rollers. It is currently 50% off at Chemist Warehouse, but on their website it is searchable using "John Freida Luxurious Volume Mousse" rather than "....Volume Lift"...the product is the same in the photo though. 👱‍♀️❤

  • I liked living in Houston. I lived there only for 1 year about 1/2 mile away from the Galleria, right on Westheimer. I've been thinking about moving back, but don't know the city or neighborhoods anymore. Traffic was beyond awful there, and that was waaaay back in early 1990. I imagine it's unbearable now (and I say that after living in both Manhattan and LA for many years afterward lol).
