"come on man" I think is the best way to describe the Rebel Moon saga
I would choose stronger words personally but it works 😂
Many people judged Civil War against what they wanted it to be as opposed to judging it for what it was.
I thought it was just kindve odd. I didnt really care about any of the characters, and everytime the movie got my attention I had to sit through another 10 minute sequence of them talking about drama
I am judging it for what it is And it's stoopid
Well the trailer made it look like a generic action movie... and it wasn't.
I went in without seeing the trailer or any outside bias and really didn’t like the movie much. Acting was really bad unfortunately.
Well said
Bill Skarsgard. Not Alexander
1. Challengers (A-) 2. Civil War (A-) 3. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (B+) 4. Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver (C-) I also watched Alien on the big screen this past weekend, really good movie!
I saw the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last night. This movie is just straight up fun. Not the greatest, but still was a fun movie to watch.
From what I saw, I’d go: 6. Woody Woodpecker Goes To Camp 4/10 - It’s just bad. I wish my fam would pick something better to watch most movie nights. 5. Rebel Moon Part 2 5/10 - Did not like Part 1, and Part 2 wasn’t really any better for me. Zack Snyder just isn’t someone I click with (most of the time). 4. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two 6/10 - Another decent DC animated film, not one of the better ones. 3. Monkey Man 7.5/10 - Did not love it, but I enjoyed it, especially the action. 2. Civil War 8.5/10 - Great overall, one of the most thrilling films I’ve seen in some time. A favorite of the year for me so far. 1. SPYxFAMILY Code: White 9/10 - SPYxFAMILY is among my favorite animes/mangas, and as a massive fan, I really enjoyed it. My 2nd favorite movie of the year so far, only behind Dune Part II.
That’s crazy my top 4 this month were in the exact same order and if you swapped Boy Kills World with the Omen we would have 6 in the same order. Great taste Shawn!!😅
Heh when someone agrees with us, it’s great taste. And when they have a different opinion they’re idiots and completely wrong 😅 (Not saying that’s what you said, but just how it works in general)
I only saw two movies this month 1. Civil War 2.Challengers
Every time I see that clip of her hitting the tennis ball at the camera/screen, I flinch, haha!
Abigail is so much fun, i was hype in the theater during the entire movie. Great comedy/action/horror hybrid wich is satisfying and entertaning
All April 2024 Movies I Saw Ranked: 1. The First Omen (5/5) 2. Boy Kills World (4/5) 3. Civil War (4/5) 4. Abigail (3.5/5) 5. Challengers (3.5/5) 6. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (3.5/5) 7. Monkey Man (3/5) 8. Late Night With The Devil (2.5/5)
Boy Kills World was absolutely made for me!
9. Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver-Because A Child of Fire completely drops the ball when it comes to the setup, this movie has to build on the faulty setup to deliver a derivative, cluttered back half to this story that I thought had quite a bit of potential As a point of reference, I would go positive on the rest of these movies. 8. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two-Much like the first part of this story, Part Two is an enjoyable DC story that works as consumable superhero entertainment, while not being a lot more than that 7. Infested-I checked this one out because the director of this film is directing one of the next Evil Dead films, and with those expectations, I thought this movie worked pretty well for what it was 6. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare-As a massive Guy Ritchie fan, this film continues his hot streak he’s been on in making entertaining films across multiple genres 5. Monkey Man-Despite not being as impactful as it could’ve been, Monkey Man is an engaging mixture of revenge, action, culture, and revenge, which makes for an impressive directorial debut from Dev Patel 4. Boy Kills World-Even though I still can’t fully grasp what my thoughts on this film are, it absolutely kept me engaged with its style, characters, action sequences, and storytelling, which I can’t say about every movie I watch 3. Civil War-A well done exploration of both journalism and the horrors of war that, in my opinion, communicates its themes and ideas through its story and characters to make for an enriching film 2. Abigail-While it’s not necessarily reinventing the wheel when it comes to this subgenre or the horror genre in general, that doesn’t stop this movie from being highly enjoyable 1. Challengers-Even though I’m not quite pretentious enough to hail this as a cinematic masterpiece, it’s a rather great story that I shouldn’t have found all that interesting, but executing it with style and amazing performances to really bring it to life Here are the April 2024 movies I didn’t watch The Absences of Eden Arcadian Back to Black A Bit of Light Blood for Dust Breathe Cash Out Damaged Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead Downtown Owl The First Omen The Greatest Hits Hard Miles Humane Irena’s Vow LaRoy, Texas The Long Game Música Sasquatch Sunset Someone Like You Sting Strictly Confidential Unsung Hero We Grown Now Wicked Little Eaters Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp
Looks like you have the goo goo gaga for Zendaya too ❤
@@danielskinner4097 You see Mr. Skinner, at no point did I say that Challengers wasn’t great or that Zendaya wasn’t great in it. Dune: Part Two is my favorite movie of the year so far and Challengers is my runner up. Thus there is a running theme in my top movies of the year as well.
My List Would recommend every movie I saw a lot except Rebel Moon (not for everyone) 1: Civil War (A++) 2: Monkey Man (A) 3: Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (A-) 4: Abigail (A-/B+) 5: Rebel Moon Part 2 (C): Didn't hate it as much as others I really want to see Arcadian and Boy Kills World
Unfortunately, out of this list, I was only able to see Rebel Moon Part 2 and Abigail. I wanted to see Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare but couldn't squeeze it in since I got busy with the last weeks of my semester. If it's still in theaters next week I might see it. 1. Abigal 2. RM part 2
Ungentlemanly Warfare was a lot of fun!
Was a great month getting to see classics like Point Break, From Dusk till Dawn, Dawn of the Dead, Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Spirited Away & The Mummy in my local theatre, of the new releases seen though I'd go: 1. Challengers 2. Ministry of Ungentlemenly Warfare 3. First Omen (shockingly so good!) 4. Monkey Man 5. Sasquatch Sunset 6. Civil War 7. Abigail 8. Rebel Moon 2 9. Boy Kills World
April is the underrated month for movies
1. Challengers (A+) 2. Monkey Man (B+) 3. Civil War (B+) 4. Abigail (C) 5. Rebel Moon 2 (C-) 6. Immaculate (C-) 7. Lisa Frankenstein (D+) 8. Godzilla New Empire (F-)
Lmao Challengers isn't better than any of those movies😅
#s 6, 7, and 8 came out in February and March.
@paulromney8368 true but the are new movies that I didn't see until april.
Unfortunately I've not seen any movies this month but there's a lot from April I want to watcg
Love the design on your shirt, Sean! Especially since it's a white one, it makes the image stand out more. Good old Peter Parker getting taken over/absorbed by the symbiote. (Venom)
1. Abigail 2. Challengers 3. The First Omen 4. Boy Kills World 5. Civil War 6. The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare April was a great month. I enjoyed all these movies. Really looking forward to May.
The Fall Guy is amazing movie aswell
Ive watched most of the movies on this list but I do it for free lol
Cool! 👌
A great month for the most part: 1) Challengers - 9/10 2) Civil War - 9/10 3) Monkey Man - 8/10 4) The First Omen - 8/10 5) Rebel Moon Part 2 - 5/10
1. Abigail 2. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 3. The First Omen 4. Civil War 5. Challengers 6. Monkey Man 7. Rebel Moon Part 2
Give Unsung Heroes a watch. It was my favorite movie in April. Really uplifting with great messaging.
I actually had a segment in this video about maybe seeing it. But I trimmed it for timing.
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout it's great, I'm gonna check out Civil War based on your recommendation as well.
10. Rebel Moon Part 2 the Scargiver 9. Sting 8. Challengers 7. The First Omen 6. Boy Kills World 5. Arcadian 4. Monkey Man 3. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 2. Abigail 1. Civil War
Make rewiev on the shogun. It is 1 if not zhe best series of 2024
I need to finish watching it first 😉
You need to see Hundreds of Beavers and Late Night with the Devil.
1. Monkey Man ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. The First Omen ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 3. Boy Kills World ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 4. Villains Inc. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5. Challengers ⭐️⭐️ 6. Escape from Germany ⭐️ As a bonus entry I also saw Hundreds of Beavers. I'd put it right below Monkey Man. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Civil war was very well made and I also really liked challengers!
1) Civil War 2) Challengers 3) Monkey Man 4) The First Omen 5) The Fall Guy 6) In a Violent Nature
Here’s my list of the movies I saw in April… Bottom two were kind of disappointing, not sure which one I liked better so they’re interchangeable… 5 and 4. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire and Kung Fu Panda 4 Here’s the rest of my ranking… 3. Ordinary Angels 2. Abigail 1. Dune Part Two Also went to a rerelease of Stepbrothers which was fun.
I had so much fun with Abigail, easily my favorite movie this month. Melissa Barerra is always a win and I personally feel Radio Silence hasn’t missed yet and are on a hot streak
I thought the last scene in infested was beautiful
Monkey Man was excellent. Rebel Moon was interesting looking but not engaging. We want to see Kung Fu Panda & GhostBusters 4's, but are fostering 5 cats now, so their needs overwhelm all our days off.
Great month for movies 1. Challengers (#1 for the year) 2. Abigail 3. Civil War 4. Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 5. Monkey Man 6. The First Omen
Lmao Challengers isn't better than any of those movies😅
for me, abigail is 1 by a long shot. civil war would be two by default. it wasn’t what i thought it would be and that made me not like it. i couldn’t get behind challengers just because none of the characters were likeable to me. i’ve seen a lot of positive reviews for both though
@@jeffzachry7519 I Agree
Challengers.😂
Challengers is the worst movie I’ve seen this year.
1. Monkey Man 2. Abigail 3. Música 4. Civil War 5. The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare 6. Arcadian 7. Scoop 8. Strictly Confidential
I only saw 2 I want to see Boy Kills World but I havent had time. 1. Ungentlemanly Warfare 2. Rebel Moon 2
Babe wake up, Sean dropped another banger
4 - Rebel Moon 2 (L-ASS-T 3 - Civil War 2 - Abigail 1 - Late Night With The Devil
HOW IS IT MAY!
These years keep flying by faster and faster
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout I'm turing inot an oldy moldy
I only got to see a handful of movies in April such as Civil War, Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Shrek 2 20th Anniversary, Challengers, and Abigail. Also my theater played the first Despicable Me for low price tickets on a Saturday morning. Out of all the films I saw I enjoyed Civil War the most as it was very tense and compelling, I took my friend to see Ministry, I had fun with it but my friend enjoyed it more than I did so I was happy in the end. I wasn’t planning to see Challengers until I saw the praise and it made my curiosity be compelled and I thought it was well done, and I was very excited for Abigail when I saw the trailer and it didn’t disappoint, I took my friend to see it and they loved it. Probably my ranking would be 1. Civil War 2. Abigail 3. Challengers 4. Shrek 2 5. Despicable Me 6. MOUW
I only saw Civil War and Monkey Man, I give Civil War a 8/10 and Monkey Man a 9/10. Action films are my jam so it wasn’t hard for the film to win me over!
Pretty good ranking! Here's mine 1. Civil War 2. Boy Kills World 3. Monkey Man B I G G A P I N Q U A L I T Y 4. Rebel Moon 2
Best use of the space/return bar ive ever seen
1) Abigail 2) Spy X Family Code: White 3) Civil War 4) Challengers 5) The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 6) Late Night With the Devil 7) Monkey Man 8) Night Swim 9) Immaculate
Immaculate worse than Night Swim? I thought Immaculate was pretty meh, but worse than Night Swim, You must've hated it with all your heart 😂
Urm actually it’s bill not Alexander Skarsgard
My Film Ranking of April are 1-Abigail 2-Civil War 3-Challengers 4-The Ministry of Ungentmanley Warfare 5-Monkey Man 6-Boy Kills World 7-Dogman 8-Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead 9-The First Omen 10-Scoop 11-Musica 12-Sting 13-How to Date Billy Walsh 14-Disneynature's Tiger 15-The Antisocial Network: From Memes to Mayhem 16-The Greatest Hits 17-Unsung Hero 18-Sasquatch Sunset 19-Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp 20-Cash Out (new John Travolta film) 21-Damaged (new Samuel L. Are you still interested in the directors cuts for rebel moon? I am.
1. Abagail A 2. Monkey Man A 3. First Omen B+ I'm hoping to see Civil War, Ungentlemanly Warfare, Boy Kills World, and Arcadian soon
1. Challengers (9/10) 2. Civil War (9/10) 3. Monkey Man (8/10) 4. The Greatest Hits (8/10) 5. Música (7/10) 6. Boy Kills World (6/10) 7. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two (6/10) 8. Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver (5/10 but after sitting on it for a while that feels like way too much) I also saw The Fall Guy but I’ll save that for May. Unfortunately The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare didn’t get released here so I’m waiting for VOD, I’m still looking forward to that.
Hey sean would u count the re release of shrek 2, alien 1979 and the mummy 1999 in theaters in the month of April? I would and both are top 15 films in money at the box office.
My birthday was yesterday🥳
Hey Sean, what do you think is the funniest movie ending?
My List: 5. Monkey Man (2.5/5) 4. Sting (3/5) 3.The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (4/5) 2. Civil War (4.5/5) 1. Abigail (4.5/5) Still need to see Challengers and Boy Kills World
14. Justice League part 2 13. Rebel Moon 2 12. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 11. Exhuma 10. Arcadian 9. Sting 8. Monkey Man 7. Musica 6. Lowlifes 5. Challengers 4. The Greatest Hits 3. The First Omen 2. Abigail 1. Civil War Boy Kills World would be 3
I didn't understand Challengers. She was going back & forth between each guy. Plus who won the match at the end?
Wow the only movie I agreed with you about was Abigail and the World war 2 movie, which was great. Civil war #1 lmao
Great Video Sean! Here's My List: 1. Abigail 2. Civil War 3. The First Omen 4. Monkey Man 5. The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare 6. Late Night With The Devil 7. Arcadian 8. Infested 9. Boy Kills World 10. In The Land Of Saints And Sinners 11. Challengers 12. Rebel Moon Part 2: Scargiver 13. Cash Out
I'm sure Rebel Moon 2 is at #1 right?
The best I've seen in April 1) Challengers - Going to be in our top 10 by the end of the year. 2) Civil War - A thinking person's blockbuster. 3) The First Omen - Revives a franchise to new depths with scares that made me faint. 4) Late Night withe the Devil- It's great to see David Dastmalchian in the lead. 5) Monkey Man - I look forward to seeing another film by Dev Patel 6) The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare - It certainly was fun but Quentin Tarantino did this story better. 7) Rebel Moon, pt. 2 - Give me the hardcore version.
Didn't get to see everything I wanted, but what I did I was pretty thrilled with...mostly. So here's my ranking. 1) Challengers 2) Civil War 3) Monkey Man 4) The Beautiful Game 5) The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warefare 6) Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire 7) Godzilla × Kong: The New Empire
That godzilla movie was utter trash wasn't it? Is that a frontrunner for worst movie of the year? It is for me.
11. Blackout 10. Rebel Moon P.2 9. Infested 8. Challengers 7. Arcadian 6. Civil War 5. Boy Kills World 4. Abigail 3. The Ministry Of UW 2. The First Omen 1. Monkey Man
11:21 You mean Bill Skarsgard, right?
Unsung Hero was an excellent movie. Great watch for Mother's Day, actually.
Is a christians movie right??
@Music_Movie_Fan_ Yeah, it is essentially. It is also just a good, true inspirational story about a family and their life moving from Australia to America.
I listened to a lot of Rebecca St. James in the 90s
@SeanChandlerTalksAbout oh, me too, Sean. I even got to meet her about 5 years ago. This is essentially the story of her family's journey from Australia to America and God's miracles along the way. Very inspirational.
What about the fall Guy?
1) Boy Kills World 2) Monkey Man 3) Civil War 4) Abugail 5) Challengers Ministry hasn't been released outside the US :/
My ranking for April 1. Civil war 2. Abigail 3. Monkey man 4. Boy kills world 5. Ministry of ungentlemanly warfare
That is Bill Skarsgard my guy. My April Rankings: 1. Boy Kills World 5/5 2. Challengers 4.5/5 3. Ungentlemanly Warfare 4.5/5 4. Musica 4/5 5. Abigail 4/5 (this one could potentially move up on a rewatch) 6. Arcadian 3.5/5 7. Monkey Man 3.5/5 8. First Omen 2/5 9. Civil War 2/5
?
I'm usually not in agreement with film twitter but this time I totally get why people are obsessed with Challengers. Still think the ending was bad but everything else was incredible. I'll need time to get over it. I didn't know Civil War was so divisive and I'm surprised. Thought the film was pretty harmless and easy to enjoy, though dark and violent at the same time. Really liked it. Also, Infested is a French film, not French Canadian.
Ahhhh whoops There were two french language films I saw at Overlook. One was french and one was french canadian....other film being Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person. I switched them
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout no problem, greetings from France!
Blackout has a 100% Audience score on Rotten Tomatoes 😅😂🤣
He's a super niche director thats been around for decades but he's never been given a studio film. The handful of people who know who he is like his films.
I only saw 3 but here’s my ranking 3. Arcadian- I still really liked this movie. I love Nick Cage and I love horror and I got exactly what I wanted from this movie. I thought the monster designs were awesome and the sound design was especially good. I wish it was scarier but hey, I got what I want. 2. The Greatest Hits-I only checked this movie out because the new Superman actor David Cornsweat is in it but was pleasantly surprised. It’s a romance movie mixed with a time travel. All tied together through music. Even though David wasn’t in it that much he was still really good and I look forward to his Superman even more after seeing this movie. 1. Challenges-I am not the biggest fan of Zendaya but I throughly enjoyed this movie. Her performance was great as well as all the other performances. And, Tennis is one of the few sports I’ve played so I at least had some reason to watch it. I’ve never seen tennis feel so intense before this movie. I really enjoyed it
Civil War was great aside from ending
Easily the best for me is Abigail, what a fun fest that was! Civil War would be the runner up for me
Does anybody know where to watch Arcadian. It’s not in any theatres near me and I’m kinda confused
I think it only had a short and limited theatrical release.
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout awww dang hopefully it streams soon I wanna watch it so bad
It’s Bill Skarsgård not Alexander
Correct.
Its Bill not Alexander Skarsgård! Bonkers film but i enjoyed it!
Alexander skarsgard? I think you got the wrong one
Everything I saw in April, ranked from worst to best: The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare Wicked Little Letters Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Challengers The Long Game Civil War None of these movies were particularly bad, even the ones at the bottom of the list.
What are people saying about Civil War? I’m not on that side of the internet often anymore (probably a good thing). I saw it twice and I think I’d rate it around 7/10 since individual sequences are amazing but the story and character development didn’t fully satisfy me, plus some moments were a bit slow. What are the crazy things people are saying about it? I know some people were disappointed that it wasn’t super action oriented but what else are people saying?
I've yet to see some of these films. That said, you should start submitting some of these scores to Rotten Tomatoes.
9: Rebel moon part 2: a bland generic film that feels shackled to a pg 13 rating Huge gap 8: The ministry of ungentlemanly warfare a good but not great brutal action movie 7: rcadian: solid creature feature but I wish there was more nick cage and that it was less generic 6: boy kills world: a brutal higly styilized action movie with a fun performance from bill Skarsgard 5: Spy x family code white: a really solid anime spy movie but my problem was that I watched every single bond movie in feb-apr so I was burnt out with spy films 4: Abigail: I'm not a big horror fan but my friend dragged me to the theater to see this and it it is a great bloody vampire movie with a great 3: Monkey man: a great action movie that is a whole lot deeper than I expected 2: Challengers: an erotic sports thriller that is tightly edited and has an amazing musical score 1: Civil war: a truly horrifying war movie that is brutal while being beautiful and doesn't lean to one side or another with its messaging If I forgot a movie I will add it later I have recorderd all of these except boy kills world on letterboxd and I will review that I just saw it today
3-Alien 1979 (probably a massive hot take but imo it’s a 8/10) 2-HTTYD The Hidden World (9/10) 1-Kung Fu Panda 3 (9/10)
I just don’t get the love for Challengers. Maybe I need to rewatch. I was annoyed with all of the characters (none of them were good people and I didn’t want to root for any of them), hated the soundtrack, and found the ending so unfulfilling and weird. What am I missing here? This is one of those critically acclaimed movies that I just scratch my head about. Maybe I need to give a second watch?
what happened
Only saw 2 new April releases: 1. Civil War- 9/10 2. The First Omen- 4/10
I’m not gonna lie I expected Challengers to be a god awful movie, nice to see it’s actually good
I deeply disagree nothing from your top ten is rewatchable. Rebel Moon maybe not be an Oscar contender but it is the most wholesome fun loopable movie among the ten.
Snyderbot spotted.
Here’s my list. Haven’t seen Challengers yet, normally when it comes to erotic romance thriller I just don’t care. 1. Boy Kills World 9.5/10 2. Abigail 9.3/10 3. Civil War 9.2/10 4. Monkey Man 8/10 5. The First Omen 8/10 6. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 7.3/10 I gotta say, April 2024 was such an amazing month for me.
April is the best months so far: A+... (Amazing) 1. The Fall Guy 2. Monkey Man 3. Fallout (TV Series) 4. Abigail 5. Civil War A...(Great) 6. The First Omen 7. Shogun (TV Series) 8. Challengers 9. Rebel Moon Part 2
IMHO Tighten up your list a little A+ is too high for half your list and also check out XMen 97 that kicks major butt! But your list...is your list.

I watched Civil War with an open mind as a huge fan of Alex Garland. Really didn’t like it. Felt empty and aimless. And the lack of actual journalism on display was disappointing.
Dune Part 2 has my vote! 💧⚔️🪱🏜️
for what, it's not an April movie
@@joshbecker389 No, but it was the best new movie I saw in April. I don't have the luxury to see every movie in theaters when they come out like Sean does.
i know this will be a very unpopular opinion but i dont really care. I have no interest in every seeing challengers for a multitude of reasons. Primary among those reasons is every clip i have seen of the dialogue makes me cringe and gives me what the kids call "The Ick" to a lesser extent i really dont get the whole zendaya phenomenon. As a actor she is decent, though she tends to be rather 1 note in most performances. The issue is her personality, every time i see her interviewed she always acts so aloof and "Above it all", and while some people find that endearing, I just find it smarmy.
Thanks for that 🤣🤣🤣
Here are the movies i saw in April Ranked 1. Civil war A+ 2. Musica A 3. Boy Kills World C+ 4. Monkey man C 5. Abigail D- 6. The greatest hits F
1. Civil War. 8/10 2. Challengers. 8/10 3. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. 8/10 4. Monkey Man. 8/10 5. The Long Game. 6/10
I don’t understand the praise at all for Challengers. The characters are so unlikable, I didn’t care. It’s just a triangle of co-dependent dooshbags that have co-dependency for different things and the same thing at once. Thats not say a movie about awful people can’t be awesome. Leave it to Tarantino to do make a glorious movie about totally awful people and actually make one care what happens to them in The Hateful 8.
