Here's a sneak peek of the special event. Lights of this scale will be a first in the UK and Europe, with 30,000 sustainable lights illuminated in central London for the whole month of Ramadan.

As a proud british Muslims , with so much negative media etc, its really nice to see this celebration off lights for ramadam , gives sense off belonging and being accepted in a country that we love and respect. Just like we love to see and celebrate the Christmas lights. Learning about other faiths its amazing.
But, you're missing the fact, that UK & Europe, USA & Canada are Christian countries and not Islamic countries...you're in another man's country...isn't it...if you go to Pakistan or Saudi Arabia, you abide by the rules of the land..don't you? If you ever go to a Muslim country during Christmas and new years holidays you'll see Christmas decorations on so many buildings and inside most of the coffee shops and restaurants.

But Ramadhan is a month of reflection and forgiveness for Muslims, wherever they are living. It should be filled with prayers and the humble seeking of forgiveness from our Lord. This pomp celebration with lights and people cheering is nothing more than talbis Iblis. Iblis makes the deeds seem pleasing to them, but this is not the way Muslims welcome Ramadhan.
