  • I think faking a knee/slide/fair catch are all far more unsportsmanlike than doing a little strut into the endzone

    @CrustyCrendan@CrustyCrendan7 ай бұрын
    • I agree. It's kind of a dick move considering how careful defensive players have to be now. They're coming to a stop in an attempt not to hit you and then you're taking advantage of it. They're kinda in a no win situation. Legal but a petty use of skirting around the rules.

    • Completely agree. Anything that preys on someone being thoughtful and not wanting to absolutely destroy you to trick them and make them look stupid at least borders on unsportsmanlike behavior even if it's technically legal.

  • several misses by the refs here. 1:55 when the Villanova upback touches the ball to the ground, it becomes dead at that point and the play is over - unlike the old fumblerooskie play, he still has possession when the ball touches the ground. Also at 3:30, the Michigan right TE clearly blocks the Illinois DB #24 which is blatant OPI (not a "rub route")

Considering the rules in place that protect the qb the moment he shows slide and knowing no one could touch him cause if they did flag they didnt he gets to keep running lose lose for a defense. Rather he have been laid out and defense got a flag and it even out by the qb getting an unsportsmanlike conduct flag 😂 yes i know he wouldnt of

  • The very first one is BS. Pickett should have been whistled down and there should be a penalty against qb’s who pull that crap. The same penalty as returners who call a fair catch then run the ball. It’s bad enough they already quarterbacks not football players anymore but now they let them use the pussy rules like that? Pat Mahomes did the same thing in a game 2-3 years ago. The defense has to back off, the qb should be ruled down or out of bounds, whichever the case. The refs dropped the ball on this one. As soon as he started his slide the whistle should have blown

    @djxnani@djxnani8 ай бұрын
    • that’s legal in all forms of football, if the ball never goes past the line of scrimmage and is never thrown forward the player who receives the ball can throw it

      @desib6083@desib60837 ай бұрын
    • As long as there's only one _forward_ pass and it's thrown from behind the line of scrimmage it's okay. You can do all sorts of handoffs and/or laterals, but only one pass per play can be thrown forward, and the thrower has to be behind the line of scrimmage when doing so.
