    • @wjrasmussen666 that was in his fraud civil suit, I don't think they used that argument for the hush money trial. Though it is possible I missed that attempt. Either way, yes, they are a bunch of liars. There are clear and obvious victims in all his crimes. People actually hurt and wronged by his actions. However, that isn't necessary for a crime anyway. A crime with literally no victims is still a crime, and for good reason. It is often less severely punished. But still punished. Think drunk driving. Even if you make it all the way home and get pulled over just before pulling in to your drive way. That is still a crime. No one was hurt. No damage caused. No problems caused. But if it wasn't punished, people would try it far more often, thinking there would be no consequences, causing far more harm.

  • As a pregnant woman in WI, Arizona is setting a dangerous precedent for my state. Our state Supreme Court is also going to be ruling on an outdated anti-abortion law from 1894, and could easily use the Arizona ruling to do the same here in WI. Right now, elective abortions are available in WI until week 22. I am currently 19 weeks along. After week 22, I would have to be literally dying to receive a medically necessary abortion. This is information given to me by my obgyn. I wanted more children after this but will be opting for surgical sterilization instead. It's simply too dangerous to be pregnant in the current political climate.

Javert sings: 9 years for what you'd done, the rest because you tried to run, yes 24601. No I didn't look it up, I had that off the top of my head and I'm a little embarrassed about it.

    • Correction of your correction: It's "Five years for what you did." I've watched Les Mis for more times than I'd like to admit. Jean Valjean was sentenced for 5 years in the book as well. He tried to escape four times, each time his sentence was lengthened by three years; he also received an extra two years for once resisting recapture during his second escape.

  • For a dude that lives by polling, you'd think that Roe was supported by over 70% of the population (78% was the last number I remember clearly) you'd think he'd understand intrinsically how unpopular this stance actually was.

    • Yikes! Seriously?! That has no place in any government proceeding. And I'm a Christian that would say that people who practice it have no idea what they are doing, but they don't ever bother to read and learn proper context. The far right isn't Christian - it's a strange cult of people who don't read and don't want to think.

    • I'm not voting on a color and neither should anybody else. They're called democrats and republicans and am voting for who I think is best for the job. Wish they would have left colors out of this. Its a way of shortening things to "downsplain" it to the "common folk" so they can feel they're a part of something. A color in this case instead of a party. Some are so deep into it they won't wear the "opposing" color LOL. Dear God, what did we do to deserve this? Oh yes. That's right, nevermind. I shouldn't have asked.

    • @dukeofthedance8062 get worse if the people who vote colours move to other countries. Here in Australia, our "progressive" party is red and the "conservative" party is blue.

  • Gotta say....I LOVE the righteous anger coming from Seth in this Closer Look. You could really tell he was genuinely upset about this. Don't blame him. The cruelty of the GOP and Trump on this....combined with the _obvious_ gaslighting....is insufferable.
