    • Best of luck to you and your mother. My grandmother had dementia and her final days in the hospital were nightmarish for the family, even worse so for her I imagine. And it was a long, sad decline before then. Hope you have a better experience and that this serious, terrible disease becomes treatable sooner than later.

  • Ambien was prescribed for me to try it for a couple weeks. I woke up during the night thinking, “I thought I was asleep.” It made me get up and cook during the night. The only way I knew was finding dirty dishes in the morning. Checkup told doctor I wasn’t taking anymore. When I told her about cooking she laughed. Laughed! I lived in a hundred year old tenement building with a gas stove. It put me and my neighbors in danger.
