The release of a new video by Hamas showing two hostages being held in Gaza has renewed pressure on Israel's government to secure the release of all remaining captives. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz suggested a planned assault on Rafah could be suspended, if a hostage deal with Hamas is struck.

The values israel represents mean that it must be willing to stop and with it, to let hamas regroup. This is what patriotism/representing western values looks like. To let the bad guys get away if it means to do the right things. Sadly few people have what it takes to do that.
