The Arrows vs Armour collective, has been invited to give a presentation at the Chalke Valley History Festival. So Tod, Toby Capwell, Joe Gibbs, Will Sherman and Mike Chernett (Director/Editor) will be taking part in a question and answer session (unfortunately Augusto Boer Bront can't make it). We will be on stage at 10:30 on Saturday 1st July so come down and ask all those burning ultra geek questions.
Chalke Valley History Festival is an eclectic mix of anything history, but really looking toward the professional side of creative exploits, so it covers books, TV, film, academia and all manner of other interesting activities, as well as performance and reenactment. cvhf.org.uk

  • I'd love to go. Just that dang ocean that gets in the way all the time. It's a real pain in the butt. On a more serious note, hope you have an excellent time there. Really does sound like a ton of fun.

  • Sounds like a dream line-up! I wish I could make it, but I don't think my wife would be pleased if I abandon her to manage a cycling team! (Also, would probably destroy my back carrying all Toby's Arms & Armour books across the country by public transport to be signed!)

  • I would come, but my longship is at the shipmakers for some tar work. Plus, if my mates and I came sailing across the north sea and into Bournemouth with our viking gear on and our shields up, I don't know if the natives would have a sense of humor about it. 😅

  • @Tod - I am sorry, but I must disagree with you! I know that it is the humble thing to do to say that you are biased about a video or video series that you made and that they are really good. In at least this case, you can't shrug them off and say that maybe they weren't good and you are just saying that they were good because you are a little biased. It can't apply in this case because you already have feedback from all of us that they were great videos! So, just suck it up. Ya'll did great! The other bad news... I can't make it to the event. It is too far away from Texas, USA and I don't have the funds or planes that Elon Musk has to get there. 😢 But, I am sure that ya'll will do great and I hope you record and share the presentation here on your channel!     • Don't buy The Daily Mail - that's what I do. Though I don't normally feel the need to virtue-signal my choice. But if they're going to spend some money on something worth-while, there's nothing not to like about a sponsorship in the name of education. Two things to also consider - their sponsorship ends this year. And second, like or loath the Daily Mail, today, the sixth suspect in the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence has been identified. One of the biggest supporters of the Lawrence family, providers of investigative journalism regarding the suspects and calls for justice has long been The Daily Mail... Fortunately for the world outside self-created bubbles, there's this thing called nuance.
