1080p gaming now costs up to $499 thank you jensen!
i think the $499 version mainly not targetted for gaming. the 16gb version is preferable for professional use like rendering or 3D. And $499 for professional use is pretty good! considering the next 16gb card from nvidia is $1200 RTX 4080. it is a lot slower for sure, but it will get the job done because it has the same memory buffer. and i still believe that at 1080p gaming we don't need a 16gb vram. 1080p gaming don't really need a HD Ultra Texture to run.

Unfortunately AMD are too stupid to capitalise on this, Intel will next year however.
3 times have I bought Nvidia, This time I will upgrade my 1060 to a AMD RX 7700 when it releases. Fuck buying Nvidia, they are overpricing these cards and they barely have a uplift over last gen. Add to that DLSS 3 gives you INPUT LAG.
@@Chillypuwn It doesn't give you input lag, it basically makes everything look a lot smoother but in reality it really isn't. If you game at 60 fps and turn on DLSS 3.0 and get 120 fps, every input will be done the same way as if the game was running at 60 fps but it will look as smooth as 120 fps. It's really not making anything worse like your comment is implying but it's hard to say if it is really making anything better. DLSS 3 in my opinion is pretty useless when gaming because the game doesn't exactly feel smooth while looking like it is. The whole point of FPS being higher is to reduce input lag. DLSS 3 doesn't reduce input lag and instead just makes the game look smooth while in reality, it's anything but smooth. Really hope FSR 3 wouldn't go the same path as DLSS 3.

Really sucks that the engineers created such an efficient and powerful gpu generation just for the marketing team and nvidia to take all excitement away with laughable prices. We used to be ahead of consoles for the same price, not trailing behind. Don't see how an 8gb card can be sold for over $300 considering its half the ram this generation of consoles has to work with.
Consoles don't have 16gb vram, it's 16gb ram AND vram combined
@retrofizz727 That's why I said half the ram and not half the vram. From my understanding, the current gen consoles utilize the 16gb of combined ram the same way pc ports utilize just vram since it is a lot harder to optimize for thousands of pc combinations.
@@imtheboctilian yeah I know but I think you can’t really compare just vram and ram + vram combined, but honestly I don’t know much about it and how it works, how much of it is allocated, so I will not spread misinformation
@retrofizz727 I'm no expert either, though I do know the ps5 uses GDDR6 for the 16gb of ram, which is the same as what the 4060ti uses. No pc has ddr6 memory support yet for ram, as they are currently on ddr5. The shared use of ddr6 in the gpu and ddr4 or ddr5 for the system memory is probably a lot more difficult to simultaneously render in games considering they have different bandwidths, overclocked speeds, and gb/s speeds. From a developers point of view, it would probably be much easier to allocate the entirety of the consoles ddr6 memory to a computers ddr6 vram as they share the same speeds and pipeline for the execution in processing the videogame. Historically pc gaming has been able to out perform console simply by brute forcing more teraflops, more memory, and more bandwidth, and I believe that is still the case to this day.

is demo's resolution 1080p or 4k ?
The RTX 4060 Ti has less than 25% better performance than RX 7600 and more than 140% the price (even more for some models, I saw a few $600 4060ti's on amazon), with the same amount of VRAM. Well done Nvidia, for making me switch to the sensible option!
Nvidia 40 series | Beyond Expensive
Beyond shit.
Beyond insufficient vram, and beyond expensive
It's funny how the comment section is burning Nvidia and the comments still hasn't been locked. I guess this is what they were saying that they are "not stupid" and they always look at the feedback of users after every launch.
Power Efficiency lets go
I'm going to sleep😭
People need to understand that Nvidia and AMD for that matter have increased the prices for all cards over the years and also gave us less for the money we spend. The 4060Ti for example is not the midrange of this generation, the midrange is currently the 4070 a 600$ card is the midrange. You know the midrange where prices where 200$ has now become the 600$ place. A 3x increase in price. And let's be blunt here all of this is done because Nvidia like Jensen said is no longer a gaming company, it's an AI and mining company and that's where the money is for them. By increasing the prices for us gamers and having bad products at what used to the midrange price barrier, they are pushing us towards the top of the line model. That's what they want. For us gamers to just buy the xx90 or Titan card and nothing else because anything else is worth getting at the prices they're asking.
its 18% faster than a 2070 thats not fast. thats horrible
I hope these cards don't sell anything, those prices, not even a decent performance jump but the jump on prices...
The only card that seems to make any sort of sense this generation is the 4090 and I guess maybe you could make a case for the 4080, but anything under that kinda sucks
LMAO. All worth saying.
dlss 3.5, fg, rr, reflex, rt, dlaa, physx, g-sync and on and on, all nullified by the lack of vram that is needed to run any of these gimmicks in the first place.
