    • @@MadMatt4WD Hi Matt, I just got a set of 35/12.5R17 of these Razr M/T and I found its night/day compared to my GY K02 A/T (33") in mud&rocks, I did find they where 100x nosier as soon as they where fitted though (didn't need to wear them down to get noise) but I love them so far.

  • I run the same tires in the same 33" size on my 92 Cherokee and love them. I agree, mine have developed a little noise after a few thousand but I don't care. They perform so damn well off road that I can handle some road noise. These tires just take me wherever I want. I've also had them in sand several times @ 8-10psi and haven't been stuck once and that was before I released to 4.56's and locked front and rear

  • Great review. Tires are such a personal choice. I have seen guys buy a certain tire just because it looks cool. For me, I want performance and for where I live, I also want a snow rated tire. Maxxis certainly makes a great tire. I'd love to run a full mud rated tire like that but right now I'm running the BFGoodrich KO2 and have been happy with them. Another guy in our group has Coopers but said he is going to switch to KO2s.

  • I’ve run these on my Ranger for around 10k now. Most of my driving is on road but I have done a few thousand kays in sand, mud and gravel. I’ve traveled from Perth and done the Holland track, various trails out near Paynes find, beaches, the powerline track out of Mundaring numerous times. I cannot fault them.

  • Hi matt. I have a new set of the 33's and took them out for their first 4x4 day a couple of days ago (1/11/21). Before these I was running the KM2's and I thought they were a fantastic tyre. Long story short, I drove 3 tracks I'd never been able to do before. I don't know if you know Tallarook but I drove Jenkins (no.1) from the bottom to the very top (where it meets rocky track) and it's in terrible condition. The top half of that track is pretty hard to do. For those wondering I drive a n80 hilux, 2" lift and twin locked.

  • Good review Matt. With the pressures you are talking about running, and that side bite image, these must be quite a stiff sidewall tyre. Sad to hear your rear locker isn’t working. How are you finding the e-lockers in general?

  • Great video! Im currently on my second set of KM2s on my 80 here in the states. Good mileage but they pick up cuts on the sidewall and chunks In the thread. How do these tires do in that department? Overall impressions next to the KM2?

    @rockstate45@rockstate452 жыл бұрын
    • Hi rockstate45 I could answer this one for ya as I drive an 80 over here in Oz. I changed to maxxis razr mt this year after running km2 for ten years. These haven’t seemed to chip as much as my km’s did, they are also a lot better on the blacktop. So far I’ve done 10,000km on mine with about 7,000km of touring in the outback and a bit of weekend warrior stuff and rate these tyres👍

    • Lol I’m going with battery in hearing aid because that makes more sense. 🤪

    • The road noise comes from the tires getting harder over time. Hence old tires start cracking. And the harder the tire the more noisy they become.

    • @@targetoz5470 How big is the mud bog? How deep? what type of mud is it? All these variables come into play. If you want a tyre for mud then it'll do well there and ok elsewhere. Everything is a compromise. the AT will clog up in mud but works well on rock and tar roads.
