The bond you have with Amber is something really special. It was impossible to watch this video without smiling. We lost our greatest greyhound lily in January, she was such a gentle soul, we miss her so much. Dogs give us far more than we could ever give them. Enjoy every moment with Amber ❤🐾

I lost my boy 5 weeks ago , he was a little french bulldog he was nearly 11, he came fishing and camping with me and we were inseparable, make the most of that precious time you have together, Amber is a beautiful dog x

If I remember correctly Amber is a rare breed of retriever
Dustin and others, I am in Australia and I live alone with my my little rescue dog, Nancy. Nancy is white, about 7.5 years old and she is some type of Malteze cross. No idea of the cross bit. She is always with me, everywhere I go, except into hospital. Camping, she stays in her bed in the car. Amber is a golden retriever (I think).
Used to have Dachshunds and now have a Chiba Inu, my son's pick.

I had a lab mix named Wrangler who looked a great deal like Amber and yes, we camped with all our dogs, both tent camping and with a small travel trailer.
i got a english staffordshire bull terrier and shes 15 month and she loves camping in my woodstove heated tent so glad u r back to kiss and cuddle Amber
He eats better food in the wild, than I do at home 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰 you forgot the Faxe or a Carlsberg 👍💪😎

We still miss our corgi Taiga so much! He loved going camping with us and exploring the woods where we live. But I love seeing Amber again…such a good dog. ❤

I have a 10 year old American Bully (Angel). I rescued her from a retiring breeder, now she follows me every place I go. It's like I have my own tail lol, but I wouldn't have it any other way so long as she is happy healthy and enjoying her retirement. Since I've gotten her out of that prison she was in she is finally learning how to be a dog instead of being a money maker. Shes quite awesome. I really enjoy your videos. It's always so sweet to see how you and Amber are together.

Great to see you back at it. I also went camping in the woods in SW England a couple of weeks ago. Teeshirt weather on saturday afternoon but sunday early morning was wrapped up in 4 layers and didn't want to get up, freezing mist!

Have a jack Russell, Toby, he's about 14 now, the reason I say about is he was found in a field tied to a fence post, my mate found him, we think he was about 2 then, I was looking for company as I'd recently broken my back ,and wanted some company in the day while my kids were at school, he is soft as anything, but unfortunately not able to take him bushcraft/wildcamping/fishing as he didn't like other dogs at all, so just the walks ,but he is a loving dog, cool video, are you intending selling the wooden plates on your website, love the bond between you and your dog, brilliant, good health and safe travels, cheers craig

Amber is a Golden Labrador Retriever. I have a 4.5 yo American Staffordshire Terrier and am working on camp training her. I got her from a sick friend 2yrs ago. She's a little too 'friendly and outgoing' for the bear country we live in. I'm pack and cart training her so she can carry her own stuff out for a night or 2. She likes to pull, but doesn't like to go where she's told and has the flight path of a butterfly in mind when going anywhere! As she has a tendency to wander(at high speed) I have to either pay attention to every move she makes or tie her up when I need to do something like cook dinner or set up camp. Which doesn't make either of us happy. She is getting better but there are more bears/sq.mi. than people where I like to camp, but they usually aren't a problem until she stirs them up. She thinks she should be able to play with the cubs, momma doesn't usually agree. We've lost a couple campsites that way. I usually use a tent with her so I can keep her in and she doesn't have to sleep tied up. But I have tarp camped a couple times with a long leash and she was decent about it. Didn't drag me out of bed anyway! I use a shower mat for her bush bed so she can carry it. Rubber bottom so it doesn't get wet from underneath and thick pile for some comfort on the moss/pine duff under my bed!

my first dog was a German shepherd calling mix male named Sam and he loved to go camping one of those And he has now passed my second dog was Portuguese water dog Another male neutered named Kimber and I never took him camping but he liked to go swimming a lot we took a boat and canoeing and he jump out and swim and come back into the the canoe which was difficult to get back in and he is also now passed away and unfortunately I can't have any dogs now. both lived to a good age of about 1617.

I believe i've heard you refer to Amber in the past as a golden lab, a variety we don't have on this side of the pond. She's certainly very beautiful. No dogs of my own right now, but i've been fostering for a rescue, and my current charge is Cisco, a 7-year-old Basset-Beagle cross. He and i actually went camping for the eclipse and he came through like a champ.

I have a Bichon Frise, He's called Tommy and is a little entitled shithead, but i love him for it, we did have two, the other being a Bichon Maltese called Buster but he died two months ago (although he was 15.5 yo which is a fair innings for a little dog) Tommy is a rescue, his family locked him in a cellar and he was in an awful state when the firefighters broke into the place and saved him (his whole family died from CO1 poisoning, the people i mean, but fk'em tbh. You didn't see the state he was in, claws grown into his feet and covered in filth) He's now a bundle of joy and i love him.
Always take a rescue if you can!

Amber is a Labrador Retriever , my Dog also is a Yellow Labrador however he is 6 yo and a certified diabetic alert dog. Unfortunately due to health concerns I can't take Mr Jethro or myself camping if I could I would.
I think you told us years ago that she was a retriever. I can't remember the kind though.

I had a dog years ago, she was Labrador X Whippet, she was short, fat and ran like hell 😂. I would guess that Amber is a Vizsla 🐕.

(but I have known you for quite a few years now, so I am not sure me knowing the answer is entirely fair)... Really? You forgot Amber's food??? That is neglect...
