Thank you ITV for bringing The Lantern Rouge onboard for this year’s coverage. Please give a pay rise to whoever thought that one up.
deft08 keep him on please
And to LR himself!
I was watching this on ITV4 and the commentators were so anticlimactic I was getting goosebumps and they were so low energy.
I really wanted Pogacar to win, then when he did, I spent the rest of the day feeling bad for Roglic. 🤦♂️
I litturally had the exact same feeling
Same lol
You and me both. Just means you aren't a dick :)
I hoped for Roglic. Pogacar has his whole carrer in front to win lots. Roglic also has good years left but for sure not as many as Pogacar. Evenepoul, Pogacar, Bernal (when he gets back to his form) etc. Nice future we have :D
Zachary Roush he still have chances next year if there is for example a team time trial he good defeat others
Roglic: “We showed nice racing” “still I can be happy with the result and the racing we showed here.” “Let’s take positive things out.” “No matter what age he is, he deserves it.” Phenomenal mindset. Total class, consummate sportsmanship and a true gentleman.
@Brainjock I do not believe so.
@Brainjock Does it matter? I personally think they are all doping at this level (therefor somewhat equal), as I'm sure they do it a lot in other disciplines as well. But constantly talking about it, especially at the end of world's biggest GT, with no real reason to be suspicious, just brings nothing but a bad image to the sport
just seems to be a great guy and an amazing role model for young riders, in the respect even for pogacar..
That hug. I'm broken. Cycling. Bloody hell.
Both Primoz and Tadej are class acts, this was such a great tour...
What an incredibly humble, likable young man. Giving credit to everyone on the team. You love to see it.
It's funny because on most of the climbs his team wasn't there
Seeing Rogliz on the floor staring into nowhere after he knew he lost was heartbreaking, but he had the balls to be the first to congratulate Pogacar, a sign of a true sportsman
Thank you Tadej and Primoz! What a great Tour!
Feel so sorry for Roglic...Great champ there, he'll be back
Bring back Lantern Rouge for every tour.
*for every important bike race.
@@raphaeltiziani7476 agree
Shame to all of you. 🥵🥵🥵 I dont like it.. This is just A SHAME. Should this were YOU, with full fledge of energy you pay for the whole stages, still like to be honoured with this kind of SHAME? Have a SAVE THEIR FACE minded as well. Dont do that bro. Unless you will be paid USD10 millions or USD100 millions. See how brutal painful Primoz loss Yellow Jersey to Pogacar, do you feel honoured of having the last struggling TdF place?
At 21 Primoz was still ski jumping 😂
what a tough sport, Ive just gotten over feeling bad for Benal and now I feel bad for Roglic. There where some beautiful rides in this tour, great wins all around especially today and Kwiatkowski, in my opinion.
congrats to pogacar. felt bad for roglic, though he showed a lot of class and was very humble in his interview. wish him luck for the future
More of lantern rouge, such a top quality commentator
This will make roglic stronger and more determined. All other riders should be prepared to face a new roglic
Happy for Pogacar But so sad to Roglic
Amazing Talent, fair play. Feel so sorry for Rogelic bad day on the wrong day, gutted for him, such a team man chapeau Slovenian duo
Roglic had a great timetrial (it wasn't a bad day), Pogacar had an extraordinary timetrial. Two great talent from Slovenia.
Primoz- class act! BE BACK next year! Tadej- incredible ride and win! Congratulations and thank you for a thrilling TDF!
I also was rooting for Pogacar sharp but then felt terrible for Roglic. But after seeing his interview here, he will be back.
YAAAAAAAAAASSSSS! What a race! Well done Tadej. Superb
It takes a tougher man to answer such questions in front of a global audience. Class act, Primoz. Now a fan. Being a winner isn't all about getting the top prize. I believe it was the American diver, Greg Louganis, after hitting his head on the springboard and losing his chances of winning gold who once said, "I could win silver but still come out a winner." Ride on!
Congratulations Pog!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations to Pogacar! I'm so sorry I missed this last stage. Looks like it was really exciting! Unavoidable, unfortunately. (And that's a shame, considering all the amazing comments I've read about how this Tour compares to others!) I'll have to catch up with some YT videos. Comments here have consistently pointed out the professionalism of these two fine riders. Looking forward to seeing more of them both in future races!
Such a contrast, one guy just lost the tour and the other guy just won
what a bummer , two great riders
Best Tour in years, I’ve never seen a performance like that in following the sport since the mid 90’s. Pogi for the win!
Not from clean riders at least..
Its really nice from Roglic to admit that he won, even tho he was really sad
Incredible performance of one 21 year old kid, without a team. Only with his pure talent!!
He used new doping
@@ViewTrucksontheroad shut the fuck up, why does everyone say that if someone wins
Well Mr storm they are all doping unfortunately
@@garymeehan9377 not all
@@Mr_Storm_22 Well you think of the riders who didn't even make the cut for the tour. It's either, dope and compete or don't go to the tour. I'm speculating. Every rider in the field is able to dope and it won't be a positive test. I don't really care anyway. I enjoyed the Tour. Just look at it with open eyes
Roglic is all class👏👏👏
Pogacar was absolutely bizarre. How does one young kid, on his first Tour de France, win two stages, win the yellow, polka dot and white jerseys and beat some of the best time trialists in the world by a whopping 1:21? All in the same tour? It's impossible. I'm flummoxed.
Doping
Lots of suspicious performances this TdF TBH.
💉💉💉💉💉 that’s why
It’s not doping. Pogacar was just on top form and he deserved the win. He had beaten Roglic before in the Slovenian time trial so we knew he would get time and Roglic legs went so of course he got the yellow jersey
@@Foxy25050 Get the fuck out of here. He's 21 FFS. He's just done his first tour and won 3 jerseys, destroying the best riders in the World in the process. It's utter BS. No way is he clean.
What class act
Class
What a crazy performance. I really hope we saw a clean rider, but as history has proven thats not always the case.
BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! POGAČAR - ROGLIČ GREETINGS FROM SLOVENIA.INFO -------------------------------------------
POGI!
Pogacar didnt have his own team so just tagged onto Jumbo-Visma the whole time haha
Poga actually thanking his team, I think he meant TJV for towing him for 3 weeks, and then in ITT Thanks but no Thanks guys. Chaos Amigos. Feeling gutted for Primoz that was his best chance and maybe his last who knows. Lastly kudos to Froomey who put his money on the young lad Pogacar and mentioned that Primoz tends to loose his form by the end of 3 weeks. Respect for the 4 time TDF champ, no wonder.
GREETINGS FROM SLOVENIA.INFO
I chose to belive he is clean. There is a ne age in cycling with younger and younger people winning. See last year too. Younger people have higer VO2 max and recover faster than older guys. Normally it takes more years with correct training to achive the effectiveness in the entire system. But with more knowledge about training i belive the younger guys now come into the circus with a more complete endurance system and can really utilize their higher VO2 max.
Maaan this poor guy. Primoz looks so lethargic. That feeling must be unbearably demotivating
It shows that you don't really need much of a team to win the overall in the TdF. In the end, it comes down to mountain top finishes and TTs. Not much a team mate can help you with if you dont have the legs on that day.
LR sent me
Can someone explain to me how he beat richie porte and wout van arte by so much. 1min 30ish when he’s been attacking all tour and trying to gain back time.
mattpoker85 His only chance was this TT and he (and his team) prepared for it. Have you listened to him? He knew every part of the course, every pothole, where to accelerate etc. Even if you look at his bike change, that was total ~5 sec faster compared to Roglic. The kid and his team was totally dialed for this last effort.
He is the slovenian tt champion. Not to mention all the preperation. I mean ultimately today was it, his last chance to take time, and he smashed it. Happy that Porte got podium though
Brainjock I’d like to see something that supports your BS 😃
mattpoker85 steroids
I wanted to see ski jumper man win bike race
>Tadej: was alone with 6 Jumbo riders on every mountain stage >Also Tadej: YEAH SO THE TEAM REALLY DID THE JOB FOR ME
It was a mental breakdown in the case of Roglic I am sure. The weight of expectation got to him. I know we all have bad days but Primoz showed no chinks in his armour until that bike change. We're all human and that what makes sport. The mental aspect is equal to the physical side. Only Pogacar was 'up for the fight'. Being his first Tour and being so young, maybe he didn't realise the history he was making.
He was 30 s3conds behind Tom one of best TT riders so thats not mental breakdown he finnish 5 in TT. On ordinary Day this would be enough for winning in GC
@@dejankolar120 Thanks for reply. So you are saying Tadej performed a superhuman performance. Please reply as your response is a bit confusing.
There are new kids on the block. No more Froome, Sagan, Cavendish and Valverde, half dozen 20's something van Aert, Van der Poel, Pogacar, Bernal, Kragh Anderson and Hirschi have taken this abbreviated season apart. The next decade of road racing looks a scintillating prospect. Whether they can match the previous generation as GOATS the history books will show.
OMG! What?!
DOPE.....
what vitamins did he eat this morning? he beat the (ex) world time trial champion by a minute after maxing out for 1 month ... but to be fair, richie porte also nearly did it ... maybe Jumbo Visma is completely busted after 2 weeks defending yellow
He has the talent of Lance Armstrong...
TUE for pog ? Big difference in times against jumbo visma
What's the point!! Doubt there is one clean rider in the field. Enjoy the spectacle
Is winning Tour de France single-handedly possible? Watch Tour de France 2020!
The strongest rider beat the strongest team. Doesn't usually work that way, but it did this year. The real disappointment in 2020 was the performance of INEOS and the cowardly way they took Bernal out to save face from his poor performance and lack of preparation.
Obidvaja ste hviezdy na cyklistickom nebi
he won without a team like the great greg lemond
Cracking on stage 17, then miraculously bounce back? If it's too good to be true, it must be something. Wishing it is not, but maybe maybe he is natural?
it most definitely is too good to be true
@@jaykay6270 Learn something about his past and THEN talk. Like how his coaches were saying he was already hitting numbers such as 6.7 watts per kg at the age of only 17 or how a Slovene ex pro cyclist saw him at the U14 race for the first time when he was 13 and thought he was bad because he was riding a bit behind the big group of cyclists, but then realized he wasn't actually behind, he was just in the lead for almost an entire lap. But of course you don't know any of that stuff because you're not Slovene and therefore only found out about Pogačar 2 years ago, when he's actually been doing amazing things for a long time. He's just _that_ talented and works hard. (Also, his regeneration abilities have always been really good too, everyone that's ever worked with him has always said so, for years.) So kindly fuck off with your cries of "doping" because you can't handle your faves losing.
He hardly cracked!
Full natty brah
He doesn't look happy enough bc he knows he was doped, nice one!
Operation Aderlass..Wait and see...
Kudos to Slovenia for staying ahead of the doping protocol! Impressive!
I'm so confused why people don't keep this same energy for other sports.
The best doper won
I think I'm dreaming.... ..... ...... It's just the drugs, you'll be fine.
Asshole. No. Stupid asshole.
@@soruk310 🤪
@@soruk310 Uroš don't be offended. I also loved the fact that Pogačar and Rogla did amazing at the Tour, I am so happy. But you have to admit that Tadej's performance was so amazing it's unbelievable. if you know something about Andrej Hauptman history (UAE sport director, and Mauro Gianetti UAE CEO) then there is a question...www.cyclismas.com/biscuits/who-is-mauro-gianetti/
@@moopt7339 interesting , I do not remember same after , Bernal won , or G , but you jump on instantly on Slovenians. Complex of inferiority racist shit. Look deep inside yourself , what is it there ? Spare me to tell you, you know it , do you?
I really feel for cyclists after such a hard effort and have to wear masks there body is staving of oxygen
For fucks sake the guy just won TDF and has to wear a mask to deplete his oxygen.... Congrats btw!
BS how basically a time trial determined the winner.
