What are some more TV & movie games that suck?
I have an idea for a future show. How about Good Games for bad Movies and TV Shows.
@@vidlink Awesome idea!!
Barts Nightmare! Oh man, so much potential... all down the toilet... :'(
Your mom sucks! Got em
Cheetahmen, technically speaking. I mean, sure, it got cancelled, but the unaired TV cartoon theme is available on KZhead.
"The book has better gameplay than this." SAVAGE.
I have no weapon.....and my water is almost gone! :(
I kept replaying that part. His delivery is hilarious
To be fair, he did say that his water is "almost gone," so he might have been drinking the last of his water. The weapon comment is really ludicrous though.
Dude just got a short-term memory loss.
fun fact about congo, the game was so badly rated in the US that the PAL and Japanese releases were canceled
New meme of 2019!
10/10 for giving the greatest anime of all time a shout.
It was Cory In the House.
@GamingTV excuse me?
The whole [non Japanese produced anime] is the greatest anime ever meme needs to die.

damn i can't believe they spoiled the end of Alf. i've been working on that game every day for the past 30 years and was just at the end almost
Okay I'll admit I'm a huge ALF fan, and as kid I had everything from the bed sheets, electric tooth brush, books on tape to the talking doll(still have it, and one from Burger King), but I never knew about the game till years later, and I'm glad because I would been pissed had I played it at my older cousin's house who had a Master System. Also to note that the creepy guys in the ALF game are suppose to be the FBI who are trying to find ALF throughout the shows run, and yes I'm still pissed off about how they ended the show, and the piss poor made for TV movie.
Commodorefan64 yea but did you have the Alf hi top converse? 😉
Not to mention that terrible talk show... Ah well, at least we have Space Cats. Oh wait, that show is rare AF now.
And now Shout Factory owns ALF.
@@DJTEKTORO Sorry for the very late reply(thank YT and their crap notification system), and no, but I had the bedroom/house shoes that had ALF heads on them. 😅
@@ExtremeWreck I barely remember that one.
"The book has better gameplay than this" had me rolling.
Well, at least the SNES got a full version of Dennis. The Amiga 500 version was never finished, so Ocean just made a gap impossible to jump so you couldn't complete the level. Imagine buying this game and realizing they tricked you into buying a game that wasn't even finished. Of course they did the same with Robocop on the C-64...
At least RoboCop on Spectrum is 👌
At least the music on Robocop was great.
Fairlight 2 on the spectrum by the edge was another one. The company ripped off the coder on royalties for the first game and he quit when he couldnt get what was owed to him. This was when his second game was well into development. The edge then released the uncomplete version they had. The game randomly warps you around the map and the final screen has a door you need to open to complete the game thats inaccessible. This is the same asshole company that tried to copyright the word `edge` and got fucked over in court by EA btw.
The "I think "Cory in the House" is an anime! LOL!" is such an old meme, they should call you an archaeologist for digging it up!
Steve Carrell: Thank you!
I was like wutttt??? 😁
I never found that meme funny. Just stupid & cringey and this is coming from someone who actually watched that show on Disney Channel.
I Think Wreck It Ralph is an Anime because of the Lolis in Sugar Rush!
It's a joke, right?
That "I wonder what kind of head they were hunting" joke cracked me up, was that Dave or Joe that threw that in the script? lmao

11:43 I was thinking "huh they are reviewing anime games?" and you said that it was an anime seconds later..I subbed.
This episode gave me AVGN and Gamegrumps flashbacks. Oh yeah, "Glory holes" and "future butt ball."
The blonde haired Dennis isnt the same as the Black haired Dennis..... the uk Dennis with the black hair was actually published 5 days before the american Blond Dennis was.... they are 2 different Dennis's!
Shh, don't tell them they can't do basic research.
Two Denises... would that be "Denii"?
VR Troopers is based on the Metal Heroes franchise and uses footage from Spielban and Metalder, and in season 2, Shaider. I remember playing the Genesis game and its similar to the first Power Rangers fighting game on the Genesis.
Yeah, it's funny that they used footage from different shows into one, then again, MMPR also did that. And even better is that they picked Metalder which did terribly in Japan at a time where the franchise was dying there...okay, they did try to bring Metal Heroes back in 2012, but aside from Shaider that got a DVD sequel movie, the series used for VR Troopers were mostly relegated to very brief cameos if that. That's right, Saban picked some relatively unpopular shows in a franchise to use footage from!
@@destroyerbreaker7394 Well, VR Trooper was always meant for syndication so Saban didn't put a lot of money into it when compared to the non-Power Ranger shows that were slated for the FOX Kids Network, which used popular shows like B-Fighter and Kamen Rider Black RX.

Perfect description. Such a classic nostalgic feel. I hope Joe never stops
The Sega Saturn is my second favorite system ever after the SNES. Let me rephrase that: the JAPANESE Sega Saturn is my second favorite system. Sega of America thought games like Congo were worthwhile investments and passed on all the great 2D fighters, arcade games and shmups. Dreamcast fans praise Bernie Stolar for what he did for that system but he absolutely destroyed the Saturn in North America.
Stolar took over from that overrated hack kalinske in early 1997 when Saturn was already a lost cause and Sega of America on life support financially
@YTCensorsMe Poop nobody agrees with you
Well of course Sega thought that games like they were a good idea after all this is post Kalinski Sega. The Saturn would've worked in the US had Sega of Japan had some foresight and not fired the only guy in their company that understood the US gaming market. Remember Kalinski wanted to delay the Saturn so the whole rigamarole that happened with its early botched release would've never happened. That's what lead to Sega's downfall and why the Saturn and Sega itself died and the PlayStation took its spot as chief Nintendo competitor. As great of a system the Dreamcast was Sega of Japan couldn't fix the damage they had caused. Also $299.
@@larrylaffer3246 ...and no DVD player!! (it still shocks me how much that made PS2 the more attractive buying option)
@@Lifesizemortal Well it was a great bargain at the time. I mean which system would you buy as a parent? One that all the family can use or one that only little Billy can enjoy? It was a no brainer.
I had Alf for my Master System when I was a kid. It really was one of the worst licensed games I owned for any console back then. And my parents had ET for the Atari 2600. ET was nowhere near as bad as Alf.
Thanks for keeping the Cory meme alive...
For having insulted the Dennis the Menace movie, Joe, I sentence you to play the PS2 movie tie-ins for Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club, and Antz Extreme Racing.
ocean seems to be good at making games with good graphical and audio polish, but with lacking gameplay. kind of fitting, as they were mainly a computer game company - their games were (occasionally) great for the original systems, but not so fitting for console ports :/
Honestly I didn't think the Jaws game was bad it was merely alright, especially considering it was an LJN movie game. Sure all you did was grind and it was hard but atleast to me it never really felt super unfair like the total recall game. Maybe I was just used to RPGs where I had to grind, not that we used that term back then. It was an alright arcade type game, nothing to rave about but noting to rant about either.
Came here to say the same thing. The game was mediocre, but not outright bad.
Love you guys! You made my Christmas even more awesome with this video!! Merry Christmas, keep doing great job.
How does Joe know that you‘ll fight the last opponent if you lose a bonus round when he had never lost a round?
Did you really just say Gilligan's Island was a crappy TV show? Thems be fightin words.
I love Gilligan's Island. That triggered me too!
That damn Alf always scared me as a kid 😂
You and me both, amigo.
My dad used to have a life sized alf he used to drive in the carpool lane
... and one day some one stole his car. When they located it the person who stole it put alf in the drivers seat with his seat belt on and a bottle of beer inbetween his legs
I used to have a small Alf doll that creeped me out as a toddler. Either my dad or my grandpa used to place it on the top of my closet staring at me at night. The nightmares I had, back then, jeez.

Please don't confuse your Dennis (us) for our Dennis(uk), for yours is a pale comparison.
If you say so.
@@GameSack fun fact. Both were developed independently on either sode of the Atlantic yet were first published only 5 days apart.
Well, your Dennis doesn't have a dog called Gnasher who eats everything in sight. And your Dennis isn't mates with Minnie the Minx, either.
@aguy654 UK Dennis the Menace has been running since 1951. That's 34 years before Calvin and Hobbes.
@@dakiloth That's wrong. Both were published on the 12th of March, 1951. US Dennis the Menace in a daily syndicated newspaper strip, and the UK Dennis the Menace in the Beano. The confusion arises because weekly British comics are always published with a date indicating that they should be on the shelves UNTIL that date. So, the issue of the Beano where Dennis first appeared was dated the 17th of March 1951, but was on sale from the 12th of March, 1951. Kind of a crazy coincidence, but there you are.
You guys deserve an award for playing that Cory game. Fts!

2:10 Gloryholes
I feel like you could make whole episodes on LJN and Ocean games.
Really Real Video Game Trivia(tm): that Walter Matthau sprite in Dennis the Menace is the original inspiration behind the game Hello Neighbor.
With as much material as is available for this topic, I was a little disappointed so much familiar territory was covered. Nearly all of these games have been covered by AVGN or the Game Grumps or someone like that.
What are some good ones that weren't covered to death?
Fun fact, the Amiga version of Dennis the Menace is actually incompletable! They ran out of time to finish the game and they added a pit that's impossible to cross. Love that Ocean quality.
That's a myth that has been debunked.
26:18 The greatest Game Over screen in gaming history.
That Alf bit killed me LOL.
The anime joke had me splitting my sides.
Back To The Future on NES is my number one least favorite game. Good list, but that needed to be included.
BttF have two really bad games on the Amiga too, the second one in particular (Part III) had a terrible horse riding section that was nearly impossible to pass
Considering they'll likely make more of this subject, no one game actually needed to be included
Reviewing any of LJN/Acclaim's BttF games is like beating a dead horse at this point. Everyone knows that the only good games based on the trilogy are the Super Famicom ones and Telltale's episodic series.
@@slucchi723 It wasn't THAT bad. At least the games were more fun than the Telltale series. That was boring as fuck.
@@pferreira1983 I liked the Telltale games.
Remember that episode of Alf when he fought bats in the family basement?
With a salami.

You guys should have tried the Doctor Who first person shooter, Transformers dating simulator, Birth of a Nation Candy Crush, and Saving Private Ryan tower defense.
@Most Deadest Pool of em All. Well those are technically Newgrounds flash games so I don't think they play those much. However there was the Dukes of Hazzard Hentai for PlayStation VR.
PAKTRA PRODUCTIONS I’d pay big bucks for a Dukes of Hazzard Hentai VR game.
The one positive thing I can say about the SNES/Genesis Dracula game just from looking at is the weapon; it reminds me of the weapon from "Strider".
Total Recall is a fascinating game if you look closer. Like, the screens on the wall in Quaid's Apartment show security feed of Richter making his way up to the apt, like a count down to death. And fighting behind an x-ray is neat, at least for a moment. Its development was a lot like E.T.'s, if anyone wants a vague explanation.
You guys never played jaws unleashed? Lol
Why does the fence section on total recall look like a glory hole? It also changes the tone from beating up bad guys to beating off bad guys...
BLOW MY LOAD AT THE GLORY HOLE
YTCensorsMe Poop lol I wonder if Arnold will be back.
Thanks! I just realized that my son's favorite cartoon "Dennis and Fletcher" is actually Dennis the Menace - The comic
Pat Contri wants to know your location, badmouthing Jaws like that.

I thought the 1990s Dennis the menace movie was pretty good. Did you even watch it? It's no masterpiece, but it's a pretty good family film. Enjoyed it as a kid, and now as an adult. The game however does suck hard. I can't even get past the first level.
I said the same exact thing, in 1993 when it came out I was 13old and had never laughed so hard before since both Home Alone 1 and 2. Now another person above stated that Dave and Joe weren't the Target Audience of this movie which leads me to think like wtf? Are they 57old? 67old? 77old? Like how old are these 2 guys and wtf?

Cory in the House was an amazing Anime!
True
schtive81 No it wasn’t, as someone who’s a true Otaku (like yours truly) I can safely tell you that’s a bullshit statement you just made. Cory in the House isn’t even an anime, it was a below mediocre Live Action sit com that only lasted 2 seasons, because it didn’t have very high viewership. If you wanna watch an actual REAL and really good anime series, I recommend Slow Start, Comic Girls, Happy Sugar Life, And Revue Starlight, 4 of the best anime shows made this year. If those don’t satisfy you, then I simply can’t help you, your a lost cause.

@blake bishop No, but I think I got cancer from reading your comment XD
I liked the tournament arc better in the anime.

Too bad the best Anime doesn't have the best game.
Hey, believe me Dave, I know that aiming your slime blower is a chore.
Alf came out when I was 13...I despised it even then. Somehow an Alf plushie ended up in my house, my parents told me I used to slam it in the door because I hated it so much. If I was in the living room and someone put that on, I would leave and go to my room.
You’re not the only one Dave, we all gave pools a second look before going in
Good thing for the Blinking Light Win, now we can all play with Dave
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves for the NES
I also love Temple of Doom. It was my favorite IJ movie as a kid.
Game Sack: The AVGN Edition
In that ALF game, it looks to me that instead of trying to hit enemies with that bat, the animation is actually showing ALF scolding them .
Funny thing in ghostbusters 2, the music in the side scrolling car stages is identical to the song bill murrray learns how to play at the end of groundhog day
All Ocean games on SNES are Amiga ports which explains their weirdness (songs sounding like they are pulled straight from the demo scene) . They were probably like $5 on their original platform.
Uh, what's with the gloryholes in Total Recall!?!
I owned Total Recall as a kid. My friend got it for me for my birthday. We tried playing it for a weak straight lol. We couldn't get passed the people punching through the holes. He asked if I wanted to break it. I said yes and then it would be a great birthday present haha.
Total Recall almost turned into Beat'em and Eat'em near that fence.
That Congo game...the first part of Congo had Bruce “Ash Williams” Campbell as the initial explorer. They should have used him.
Well I'm glad you did the good games first since there are so many bad tv/movie games. I actually had fun with Jaws but then again I enjoyed GreenDog too so who knows. Have a Merry Christmas Joe N Dave.
That Genesis version of Dracula looks lovely. Can't say anything about the gameplay, but some of those graphic effects are pretty nice.
Hahaha why do I watch a video about games that suck...? Because you guys are a great laugh to watch... Thanks for putting so much time in making all these vids....surely must be more time than me putting in watching them...
About time Cory In The House got some love. I bought 100 copies in case I need them for currency once global warming destroys the Ice caps and we're stuck living in Oregon farming radishes to make ends meet.
