Well, as First Lady that personal security is Secret Service. Having a private security company in a position that high would be huge security risk, as these individuals probably could not be as deeply background checked as Secret Service agents. Secret Service agents that near to the president are probably also well selected, I don't think a agent fresh out of academy will protect a family member of the president. Also, every current or past (vice)president and their family members can have secret service protection, even for an extended amount of time after leaving the office (like the president and their spouse for lifetime). The presidential candidates right now are also protected by the Secret Service.
I am a strong republican, with very conservative views- but I REALLY love Michelle and Barrack as people! They seem so normal and pleasant :) Their marriage is soul wholesome and every American marriage should aspire to be like theirs!
