  • On what planet can you find a CTS-V for under $10,000? You can find a CTS for that price, but a CTS-V goes for $25k to $30k minimum (for the very oldest models with the highest mileage. 2007 models regularly go for over $40,000... so, if you're getting it for less than $10 grand, it's garbage, and would cost you $20 grand just to get running again.

    • @Jim Sharck -- A large part of this is that the used car market is completely shot to hell. One issue is the Cash For Clunkers program... the problem with the program is that the cars bought back by the government CANNOT be resold, they must be destroyed. This removed nearly a million cars from the used car market, severely limiting supply, driving up demand. This in turn drives consumers, who were looking for a used car, into buying a new one because it's just not worth it to pay $15,000 for a used car when you can get a new one for $25,000 or less. Now add in the pandemic, which has limited the number of people selling their used car simply because they're not using their current car as much, therefore they have little reason to sell. And we're still not done, because now we have to add in the plethora of people who have decided to simply not buy a car to begin with, they just use Uber and apps like Grubhub to fletch their fast food and their groceries. It's going to take YEARS before the used car market bounces back... if it does at all.

I bought a used 76,000 mile 2014 v6 Mustang coupe from a used dealership and it was kept in amazing condition by the father and son (previous owners) paint is brand new no scratches no rusting under the car, there’s a little corrosion on the wiring by the battery and that’s it but it can be cleaned with baking soda and warm water once it gets warmer outside for me to do it. and it came with a few mods as well. black gt500 spoiler black out taillights, Borla s type exhaust and it runs and sounds like a dream with that mileage

The 500 WHP axles are only really needed for hard launches which I will not be doing ,lol. I know a guy who had the 500WHP axles can handle a few hundred hard launches at around 700WHP before needing to be replaced. I would always go full throttle mid corner to get the 50/50 power split and better mid corner acceleration. The car always turned better at full throttle.
