Restoration of a Burnt Rolex Datejust - Gold Rolex After House Fire
This Rolex was burned in a house fire in 2010. It is a Rolex 16013 with a fluted gold bezel.
The case is covered in deep scratches, the glass is burnt but the movement is still running, well more or less at least.
I hope you liked this restoration, if so, like, comment and subscribe ;)

Who else watches restoration videos to fall asleep 😅
I watch them because I find them oddly fascination, just like watch Bob Ross. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't nod off many times.
Guilty 😑
You re so lazy and impacient 😁😁😂
Got tinatis and listen to the sounds helps me fall asleep 💤
That’s literally me and now it’s 2am i think i will fall asleep in 10 min 🤣🤣
New flux capacitor, what a time to be alive
A smarter man would have put the entire watch into the Flux capacitor and restored it.
Oh shit another silent movie
Your tools and equipment are something out of a Rolex factory! Great job on the restoration as always.
Thanks 🙏
More like from Elsa factory 😂 Are they a new sponsor?
Kerja dan peralatan yang mumpuni....
@@edwardzanin2000waah indonesia juga gan sama nih
I have a watch that is very nostalgic to me. Would you be willing to assist in possibly repairing it.
This is what’s called SKILFUL. A true master of a craft that fixes quality items with intimacy, passion and true skill. Bravo!👏👏
Sad to see the old watch cleaning machine go. I remember watching you do the restoration of it a while back.
Salute for the old Super Elite cleaning machine o7 She did great work getting us here, but there will always be a younger, fancier replacement waiting in the wings.
Another amazing restoration. It's hard to believe it's the same watch.
Thanks mate 😊
Will miss the vintage Elma cleaning machine! 😭 It made some wonderful sounds. while spinning... 🎶
Beautiful work as usual. Sorry to say I hate the strap. Hope the owner pleased.
Came here to say this too. Feels wrong to bring a Rolex back from the dead and then use that band.
You are so calm and confident in your actions, it's amazing.
Wow! Just incredible everything (skills, editing technics, results...) as always. Just let you know I really enjoy your videos!
Thanks 😉
Incredible work! I just think probably a replacement hour and minute hand would have been good! Surprised the glue on pallet stones didn’t come loose in that fire! Anyway, great job!
Just watched the whole video. Red, thanks for these amazing, high quality, no-nonsense videos. I really appreciate the level of detail and the dedication you put into these little 20 minute videos, I'm sure it isn't easy. Easily one of the watchmaker GOATs of KZhead. 🐐
Thanks, it's really hard to put all that stuff in around 20 minutes 👍
@RedDeadRestoration hey man you keep doing what you're doing. We all appreciate the work that goes into your craft. Let me know when you're Los Angeles, I'll buy you a fatass burrito.
@@winstonlanda7731 I will let you know when I'm there 😅
this is my favorite rolex watch model and watching it come back to life just makes me so happy.
That watch is toast
Thank you. I thoroughly enjoy your channel for its well produced vlogs, technical content as well as your sense of humor. Please provide link to Flux Capacitor v2 retailer. 🙂
I got the impression that this restoration was a bit more of a challenge than some of your others. You did an incredibly amazing job. This was so enjoyable to watch you work your magic.
Great Flux Capacitor! I still have the old one like the old cleaning machine.... 😢
Congratulations for restauration ... The song "Overdrive" by Corbin Kites at the end was incredible. I've been your follower a long time. Happy 2024, health and peace for you!
Admire your job! The strap fits perfectly in terms of watch character
Thanks :)
Awesome restoration! This Rolex Datejust really goes from zero to hero 🏆
Beautiful work. Congrats on the new equipment (especially the new time machine!).
Great to see all the progress in your tools my friend. Keep going! You are awesome!
Well done mate! I was quite stunned that you got the brushing on the lugs that nice when you did it manually. Very nice workshop you have now 👍, hope it will last for 100 years 😊
That is a jaw-dropping restoration. Amazing work!
Generally I am not a Rolex fan (look like Seikos), but this watch is super handsome and that movement is beautiful. Nice job.
Absolutely love your work. I have a few omegas and breitlings. This makes me appreciate why they are so expensive. And to look after them.
1. Dachte hab mich verschaut- neues Video von dir. 2. Sehr gute Gehäusearbeiten- wie immer. 3. 😂
The editing alone is 2nd to none. 🇬🇧
Congratulations for your new equipment.
Amazing! Absolutely Amazing restoration…you truly have talent that is above and beyond. 👏😎
That was incredible!! The Master lays it down.
Welcome back .
I never imagined the degree of precision that a professional watchmaker has.... It's amazing... A separate issue is the quality of the watch, which is beyond any doubt... !!!!!!
Amazing job! I wish I could find someone like you to work on my watch. You have some skills!
Love the way that leather strap takes up the end link space, like a rubber dive strap would. Don’t think I’ve seen that before. Top notch resto …as per usual 👌
Great vid. would be nice to hear your commentary as you fix it. Theres nothing like listening to a pro talk about his craft.
No
@@RabbitWatchShop I disagree, I think its a great video!
@@ConradJupiter77liking your own comment. Awful. Also, I’m stating I’m against you requesting him speaking. ASMR is preferred. That’s why I said no 😑
@@RabbitWatchShop I didn't like my own comment. what about you! liking your own comment TWICE double awful. A craftsman talking about what he is working on is a good thing.

Beautiful work as always.
thats what i call a best of the best restoration 👏👏👏👏
Very satisfying to watch, amazing patience and skill.
Awesome restoration! 👍 It is always a pleasure watching professional restoration videos no matter what is being restored. 😎
Absolutely unbelievably amazing!
A brilliant restoration on a badly damaged olex. Well done.
A new life for the Datejust. Nice work.
Amazing content. One of my favourite channels. Love the new time machine. 😀
This is no restoration. This is a resurrection! What an amazing job! And the old and restored Elma cleaning machine has been replaced! I’m gonna have to get use to that. Thanks for this great video!
*The time machine part is the best.* *_Great job, I would be happy to wear it and proud._*
Nice work!! Thank you for posting !!!
I enjoy every restoration but this one has been beautiful 👏🏽
Gorgeous timepiece. Great job!
One of the best YT channels. Always looking forward to your next restoration!
Thanks 👍
Incredible workmanship.
Superb job, thank you for sharing.
So glad you changed the dial. Great work on this watch.
Something feels wrong when sandpaper touches a Rolex. Absolutely a beauty at the end. Take a bow sir👍
your time machine makes always the miracles…perfect job, as usual Maestro, taking nice care to all the parts with your brass or plastic tools
Always like to see the instrument holders..very informative.
Excelente video ..!
An special Rolex and a very special restoration. Congratulations!!!!
Incredible. Thank you for the sharing. Perfect restoration with respect of watch identity !!! And congratulations on this new cleaning machine :)
Champagne two-tone Datejust on that dark leather strap is just *chefs kiss*
Absolutely fantastic. Congratulations on another great watch restoration and a video that was a pleasure to watch..
best watch restoration channel on youtube
😊
good tools + expertise = good results. No way around that.
Great job! Don't get rid of the old cleaning machine. The new one looks so complicated and plastic fantastic, it may break down the road. The old one is primitive enough to last another few generations.
That transition 🤩
Amazing watch, amazing result, amazing skills and amazing new tools. I’m amazed.
Elmasolvex RM! 😍 I miss the restored old Elma cleaning machine though. Please keep your amazing collection of socks! Red Dead Rocks!✌
I miss that red light from the old Elma :)
New cleaning machine is crazy!! Keep pushing!
Todo nuevo ,felicidades , excelente trabajo, saludos desde Argentina
that case restoration is on another level! brilliant!
Man. That’s a beautiful restoration.
That was sad man. You replaced your old cleaning machine. It was such an iconic machine! RIP :(
It's amazing talent of doing like this, and tremendous skill, thanks.
Wonderful job as always but, after all the effort you put into restoring your parts cleaner I'm sorry to see it replaced.
Looking good again! Especially the movement, running like new
This new cleaning machine is dope !
best restoration I have seen on here
Luxurious
Amazing work 🎉
Eres un artista, el mejor. Un fuerte abrazo.
Another beautiful transformation my friend!
Beautiful work.
А мне старая машинка для очистки очень нравилась)
Beautiful work!
Perfeito trabalho !
I take my hat off for you for the the such a great effort and job you done. Love it !
Glad that he updated his "Flux Compensator" by more efficient one, unless each time he used it, the whole city had no electricity... 😄
Awesome job. I have to say though… I was cringing when you were polishing that one up. I was so hoping you’d keep all that beautiful character and fire damage, including the dial. It was the coolest DJ I had ever seen all weathered and beaten up like that, and it would have made a great conversation piece. But I guess it would not have been a restoration then. Masterful work. Well done. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you!
Same. I was kind of hoping for a conservation vs. a restoration but maybe that’s what the customer wanted.
Yeah the dial replacement was a little sad. Shoulda kept the original.
Soviel neue Maschinen in der Werkstatt! 👍🏻
Splendid job
Beautiful restoration
Work of art 👏🏻👏🏻
Gratz on your new Elma! Great restoration as always.
Hell yeah! I love the watch restorations
Nice results on the watch. Thanks for posting.
*Brilliant, jewel-like work!*
Wow! Beautiful!
Young boy , again brilliant work .
