  • 1 in 52 chance of fooling them with that first trick. genius.

    • He probably has multiple cards hidden somewhere and if by chance Penn would've chosen one of them, he could've done something.

    • @@ErzengelDesLichtes And I guess Penn realized that, and deliberately said something else. But then Ben might have anticipated it, and didn't choose that. And if Penn would have anticipated that.... well, anyone's guess how deep of a level they were playing at.

    • I dunno i mean the act was great but the punchline actually was the magic which was very great and novel and creative but without the magic it would just be a guy telling a story about getting robbed. My point is i don't know if he would be a good comedian but he sure is an awesome magician.

  • This would have been so much cooler (IMO) if at the end he was like "and I still had all of my mon-" but when he flips open his wallet, the $100 bill is replaced with the 4 of Hearts (the card Penn chose at the beginning). Really nice performance, though.

      @TheComedyAndMagic@TheComedyAndMagic8 жыл бұрын
    • My point isn't really resting on whether it's a mechanical off the shelf gag or completely original so much as the fact that sneaking any slight of hand past Teller honestly is just under sneaking a card trick past Ricky Jay on the good friggin luck scale, no matter whether you invented the method behind the effect or not. I could be way off base, as I am not a magician, but it's my impression as a fan that Teller is about as legit as they come when it comes to vanishes and productions and so on.

But yes I definitely know what you mean...it was frustrating to not have a chance to see the bigger shows because I didn't have dinner there. Plus my other complaint was that the drinks were super stingy for the enormous price tag on them. $15 for two sips worth of whiskey sour along with 10 ice cubes. I guess I know to order beer next time ;) Overall it was a cool experience to be there though!
