I agree, the fundamentals are often overlooked for flashier stuff but the basics done great makes the best fighters
huge amount of knowledge. Would love to attend a seminar if you are ever out in the US/ socal area.

kicking the hand to dissuade them from catching is brilliant, kinda thing then would never occur to you until you hear it. There's some guys I spar with that will religiously try and catch and I'll be using this from now on ahah
