  • Hello, thanks for this informative video!!! Would you reply 'Hoş bulduk' in all situations or only certain situations? I was in Izmir in 2020 briefly and I didn't hear any Turks replying this at the grocery store check outs, but perhaps I wasn't paying enough close attention. I'm returning to Turkey soon. Is this appropriate to reply going through the Migros check out when the teller says 'Hoşgeldiniz'? Also, I am enjoying your other videos, subscribed! :)

  • I just realized that I understand Turkish with some difficulty although I have never been to Turkey. It seems that Turkish is very close to my Kazakh language. It seems that the Turkish grammar is the same and half of phrases you said sounds the same in English. I understand Uzbek with the difficulty from my travels to Uzbekistan. I think I should be okay when I travel to Turkey next year. I am fluent in English, Russian and Kazakh so I hope I can get by using these languages there with my American friends
