Love Turkiye…I went twice last year within 6 months. I agree with you…
Turkey has always been on my bucket list for so long! Hoping to travel there either this year or next! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Great vid! Can't wait to try some of these on our trip to Istanbul!
Thanks so much for watching!!
That looks so good and wow what a lot of food!
Thank you for this "feel good" video. The fact that you are constantly smiling and of course the skilful videography make your vlogs a pleasure to watch. I just send an email to you and look forward to receiving your reply!
19:40 Boza has a very unique taste and you guys described it spot on :)
10/10 video thanks guys. Turkey is on our next itinerary, we are going for 2 months as part of a much longer trip so eating cheap is right up our alley.
That’s so great, we hope you guys have an amazing trip!!
I had seem novelas from Istanbul and now I want to visit Istanbul now is on my bucket list .
Istanbul is absolutely wonderful 👍 I saw that you loved Mardin. If you're able catch a flight to Beirut, Lebanon; it's a beautiful country, and if you can, come and visit Syria; lots of history and natural beauty. Have a Merry Christmas 🎄
Your channel deserves more recognition 10/10 ❤
Thank you so much for saying that, it really means a lot! ☺️☺️
Get well really soonnn!!
Great video i like it ❤
Turkey is my dream country ❤️
Hello! I agree with you. We love how inexpensive and good the food is in Istanbul! 💕
Well its not that inexpensive for Turkish ppl. 60% of the workers amongst total working population earns 450$ per month. Most of Turkish forgot how was it feel like eating meat. Turkey welcomes you (as long as you bring your dollars/eurs)
thank you for sharing your video. Very informative.
Thanks so much for watching!
Another great video! Seems like inflation has avoided food in Istanbul, here in the states, it seems like 'dining out' is up 25% or more compared to a year or so ago. $20 can disappear in a flash! Our best Holiday Wishes to both of you.
Happy holidays to you guys as well!
You two are so cute! Can't wait to see Istanbul in 2024.
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed our video! Be sure to check out our other Istanbul videos as well!! Hope you have an amazing trip and fall in love with this city just like we have!
Thanks for the video guys. I watched a couple of videos related to shopping in Turkey and I couldn't believe how cheap it is but after watching this video, it just confirmed it for me.
Glad you liked the video! Thanks for taking the time to comment! Be sure to check out our update video… it is still very affordable here but prices have changed a lot over the past year…😳
Hello, we just came back from Istanbul. We watched few of you videos before visiting the city. We found the exact baklava place from your video. It was the best baklava we had. Thanks for your ideas and have a great time in Istanbul. It's pretty awesome city.
We are so happy you had a great time here and that you found our favorite baklava shop! We will translate your comment and show them tomorrow when we go 😀! They will love to see this! It has been some time since we made this video and in that time we have come close to the owners of the shop! They are two brothers and their sons and we truly believe they are the best in the city! We have even told locals and they have tried it and agree!
Amazing video!
Thank you!! ☺️☺️
When i was in istanbul for a week - i ate a bunch of baklava EVERY... SINGLE.. DAY.. Once i bought half a kg of baklava for my hotel room just for myself and finished it in a day and a half.. and that didnt even include all the different types of baklava and sweets i was inhaling as i roamed around sightseeing outside.. I underestimated how much walking i needed to do to offset all that sugar because i definitely came back heavier..
😂😂😂 we totally understand this!! Sounds like you had a great trip! 😊
Great video ❤
Thank you!! 🙏😊
Boza is an extremely nutritious drink. Many people don't like it when they try it for the first time. However, you get addicted to it after having it 3/4 times. I almost smelled the butter in that havuc dilimi (carrot slice) baklava. All the best.
I first tried it in 2004, lived in Istanbul for 3 years that time, last came in 2022 and still do not like it ;-) but my daughter makes me go to Fatih late at night to buy the original stuff, she loves it :-)
Thank you , yr amazing couple😀
Thank you so much, that is so nice of you to say! ☺️
Great video, Is it better to withdraw cash from the ATM or bring USD to exchange? Thanks
Hi great video. Do u recommend the istanbulepass for a 7day trip 🤔 thanks
GREAT VIDEO'S !!!
Thank you!! ☺️☺️
That’s quite an interesting experiment. Thank you for sharing it with us. Enjoy your time in Istanbul, despite the fact that winter is not the best season to spend there. Anyway, spring is around the corner, just a few more months!
Thanks so much!!
Do you two love each other as much as it appears? We are headed to Istanbul next month. Excited!
😂😍 we do indeed! Hope you guys have a great trip!
@@WaypointofView We did. What an incredible city. Need to come back to explore the country.
Thank you for your fantastic videos! Would love an update on eating out food costs etc since prices have increased. Thanks Cheers
Hey there! We did make this video at the end of September last year you could check out. It’s a bit more updated… kzhead.info/sun/paueeLiIr56KZpE/bejne.htmlsi=1_ybzpbtSg5oobwq But we do probably need to make another updated one since prices have changed even since this time. ☺️
@WaypointofView Turkey is such a wonderful place, Thank you for replying hopefully you might have an update soon and again great videos.
Thank you for the video! How about making a video about the food for people on gluten free diet?
You should make a video of Sweets of Turkey ❤
Kadikoy is my home town that was many years ago😂 My new home town now is Newyork. Baklava is recipe from way back Ottoman Empire
Where in Istanbul can you find coffee ☕️ shops selling cappuccinos & lattes
great vid guys, i hope to be able to travel sometime soon. tired of surviving in this corrupt world CANAda
Thanks for watching!
I'll be the first to comment. I loved it when you guys were on the move. I was advising fishing poles, geologists, archaeologists, anthropologists, and three religious scholars. You are in the footprint of a flood in that region. From Ararat to Babel..... If you're not working for the CIA or the Division Of Tourism, can you head out toward Lake Van?
What a lovely couple! Did you use a gopro all throughout the video?
Thanks so much for watching! We use a Fuji XT3 camera. 😊😊
Just made it to the baklava place. Yum 🤤
Haha! I literally just suggested we go get some baklava before dinner. Sorry we missed you!!! You should tell them we sent you! They are the BEST!!

I love turkey 🇹🇷 ❤
Hello! Would anyone be able to tell if things have become more expensive now as compared to when this video was made? I've noticed a lot of things went up in price in the last 2 months (including attraction tickets, local travel, some restaurants), so would be good to know!
I’m in Istanbul now (November 2023) and the prices have doubled on the prices they were.
Come to Sydney , Australia
Hi. What is the name of the chicken doner place with the red and white tiles in the video? Thanks!
It is called Berkek Doner. We are enjoying a 100g Tavuk Durum for 40TL right now as I am typing this to you 😁👍
@@WaypointofView Thanks for the reply. Bon appetit! 🙂
Hello everyone! I'm just wondering how much are "Borek" & "Dolma" in Turkey today (costs)? Thank you
Fun Place No Robot style living Istanbul I miss everything
Can you use your debit card in most of these places?
Hey guys, we're in Istanbul right now. Where is the Gozleme place located in the city?
Hey Jaymison! If you send us a message on Instagram we Will send you the name and location! We have it in our guide along with over 100 different restaurant recommendations but if you message us we will tell you the gözleme place 😉! We eat there once a week!
Do most street food vendors and restaurants accept credit card payments or is it cash mostly?
A lot of restaurants accept credit card but with street food vendors and some smaller markets it’s best to have some cash.
Mashallah mashallah marhaba marhaba love respect and support Turkey and it's beautiful people from Pakistan 🙂🇵🇰🇹🇷🥰😍. May Allah SWT bless Turkey and it's beautiful people from Pakistan 🙂🇵🇰🇹🇷🥰😍
Love love visiting to Istanbul ❤we just went there on this eid and 10 days fly bye. I enjoyed Turkish tea all kind of flavors and delights were crazy good BUT everything is expensive and nothing that cheap as we thought. I am originally from Pakistan and find really hard working Pakistani and Turkish people mashallah 🌹🌷😘❤️🥰😍 please be careful and aware of surroundings too as you don’t know the language and new to the town . Love to see Americans there and have fun. I am also American citizen and living from 35 years now. Best wishes
Lovely video, but has Butme Evi closed??
Ahh yes it did about a month or so ago 😩😩 we are so sad! Really hoping they re-open at a new location!
I really hope soo too. I was soo excited to try the Glozeme! Where would you suggest for Glozeme instead? (Also thanks for your videos, they're really fun and helped me alot with my plans for when I visit)
@WaypointofView That's a shame, I was really looking forward to trying it! Where would you suggest for Glozeme? Also, thanks for your videos, they're amazing!
afiyet olsun
Hello! Could you share the name of the lahmacun place where you ate?:)
Damla Kebab Pide :)
@@WaypointofView thank you guys 😉
We really enjoyed Pehlivan restaurant in Kadıköy. Not sure if you have tried it.
We’ll have to check that out, thanks for the recommendation! 😊
@@WaypointofView The one we went to the most is on Google maps as Caferağa, Pehlivan, Mühürdar Caddesi, Kadıköy/İstanbul The grilled chicken is great. Back in November/December 2022 we could feed the both of us for under $10.
not to bring you guys down but 400 lira is like a day and a halfs work for half of the people living in turkey
I love boza
Your videos are amazing and helpful.. I needed to ask you..i might have asked before but not sure.. From the airport to the blue mosque area.. How much will a yellow taxi charge..(3ppl) Or is it much better to get havaist. Appreciate your help
You probably already went, but public transport is pretty good in Istanbul and very cheap.
are all of these places walking distance next to each other?
Yes, more or less.. they are all in the same general area:)
20 us dollars now are around 600 turkish lira , right ?
Yep that’s right, it’s about 620TL currently.
Not any more is very expensive now for 2 people we had a bill for around 1300 lira with small portions of kebab
😳🫣would be very interested to know where / what you ate if you don’t mind sharing. That is very very expensive. You should still be able to get 2 orders of kebabs for under 400-500TL even with the price increases.
Love the videos, but if you are living in Istanbul, please learn how to pronounce the names correctly. It is not too difficult. Kadikoy is kadee koy not kade koy.
Beware of getting scammed in restaurants. Really. Some charge you more all of a sudden. I’m only gonna do takeaway for the rest of my trip.
Herkesi kendi ülkeniz gibi zannetmeyin.Türkiye ve Türk insanından gelinde insanlık öğrenin.Dolandırıcılığı sizin ülkeniz daha iyi bilir.
🥰🥰🥰👍👍💯
Staying in your neighborhood in November 2023, wouls love to hear how prices are increasing at some of your favorite places visited here?
Funny you mention that, we have actually been talking about the idea of making an updated version of this exact video since prices have changed so much! ☺️
volume a little low
🥳
guys . your over pricing things in USD . 60 Turkish Laira is 1.86usd
This video is from December 2022 :)
Cheap for those with dollars or euros income
Fun fact he order another piece baklava with sim0le hand move
Happy Couple I like that, Turkiye a wonderful Islamic country
be careful of stray dogs some of them are hostile and have rabies, especialy at outside of city and other cities
Please, can you slow down when your speak, cause it too fast
I'm paying 140 at a kebab shop. Is it much cheaper outside the old city
😁 certainly prices are lower outside the Old city for just about anything! Also the chicken (tavuk) döner option is usually a good bit cheaper than the lamb/beef option regardless of where you are in the city! Not all döner Shops offer chicken though…
You can’t find a better lahmacun, any kind of kebab, döner/gyro or any kind of baklava in any other country. Not even close. Bar none.
How can u guys stay slim in turkey? haha
Haha!! 😂😂 A LOT of walking.. also we definitely don’t eat like this everyday, although it is tempting! 😂
Canadians? I think I can recognise my ppl
Haha US!
Ridiculously cheap try to eat all that stuff in Newyork😂😂😂😂
Afghanistan is beatiful country it is my home country you can also visit there it is even better than turkey !

Baklava is the king of desserts.
Couldn’t agree more!!!
