How to waste your life and be miserable. (or how to live and be happy)

2024 ж. 24 Мам.
2 237 800 Рет қаралды

There are literally thousands of videos and books written about how to obtain happiness... But not today. Not us. Today we will take a different approach. We will be heading the opposite way. Heading straight to misery.
In the video we will go over 5 tactics that you can use to become as miserable as you possibly can, so buckle up and get ready for a journey into the dark lands, if you so desire.
But maybe you don't want to be miserable, maybe you want to know how to live happy, maybe you want to know how to avoid depression and misery.. Well then, you can also use this video as a anti-guide. A anti-guide that can help you identify and remove some of the habits and rituals you are already doing, some which are making you miserable even though you try your best to live fulfilled and satisfied.
ENJOY.

    • We only have one life, we must live it to the fullest. We can’t dwell on the past and we can’t be regretful. We must learn to move on and move forward. We are all only one decision away from bettering or ruining our lives. I choose to try and to be the best version I can possibly become. If I fail, at least I try. And trying is better than doing nothing at all.

I think it’s really unhealthy to chase happiness like that and it’s better to be grateful for what you have in the present moment. This video is good for the most part but I don’t think it’s necessary to set all those goals because it’s just too much. You shouldn’t have to do that much to be happy.

My mom might be dead by then and I’d be getting closer to death. I dropped out of high school due to social anxiety and depression. I’m 18 and need to get a ged to become an electrician or go into a police academy. I promised my mom i wouldn’t be a failure so those jobs are some of the options I have. Also the only 2 friends I have don’t ever wanna hang out with me or at least text. Nature is the only thing that makes me happy. I might just save up a lot of money and live the van life

      @gizmo0@gizmo03 жыл бұрын
    • @@gizmo0 no no your english is fine, i just wanted you to elaborate so i could help in some way. i used to be on the same boat . i used plan so much for the next day but the next day would come and i'd look at the plan list and go 'oh no it's too much i'll do it in the next hour '-- and then an hour passed and i ended up doing nothing. i watched lots of videos on how to stop this and i thought i could share some videos you can watch to feel inspired. kzhead.info/sun/lKx9pqmeoIWfo6c/bejne.html kzhead.info/sun/oayem7mKgXSIY6c/bejne.html the first video was a great help to me. i decided that instead of trying to do 2 hours of study a day for one subject (i have 6 subjects) i decided to break it down into 20 minutes and spread it across the whole week. so far, it's working for me because it's more manageable. so what i do now is write a checklist of all the things i have to do but only spend 20 minutes on it. if i have enough time, i'd spend another 20 minutes. (i do things in chunks of 20 minutes now. because i realised that when i focussed too much on big tasks i'd be like meh i can do it tomorrow or feel overwhelmed and be scared to start. it's a pretty good trick i use to trick my brain into doing work. i tell myself okay just spend twenty minutes. it gets me in the flow and i work productively too.) the second video is good too but i don't really use it cause i don't like scheduling but it might be for you. sorry for the long post, have a nice day.

  • All these issues are symptoms of traumatized brain-not the root problem. Most people who are stuck in this really don't want to be there and have tried repeatedly to get out of this cycle! They have pains and sadness that they can't rid themselves of and thus their brain is focused on protective measures; isolation, judgment of any threat, anger which gives instantaneous energy, passimissm to avoid further disappointment and loss of hope or as Victor Frankel put it, loss of meaning/purpose for life. Empathy and support by an equipped person be it a wise friend or a trained counselor can help re-adjust a scared brain into a healthy brain willing to explore and grow or, as Freud put it, actualize. All these issues are a symptom and most of the time aren't a choice at all!

  • tl;dr - the lesson of this video: 1) Socialize with other people. It is not a problem if you spend time in front of your PC, you can play or do some work, whatever, just remember to socialize from time to time, even if that means going to the store to buy some milk. 2) Don't take things seriously. A lot of things may happen to you, but never be stressed out about things, try to be ignorant, try to care less about other people. Why would YOU worry about OTHER people's problems? 3) Having goals is a good idea. Even small goals can help, like wanting to improve your health by going for a run once or twice a week. 4) You are scared? Good. Be scared, but turn your fear into motivation. You are scared that you will fail an important exam? Use that fear to motivate you to study harder. Unfortunately I already failed life, I am stuck on an island with my PC, but it's not too late for you, so good luck.

If it is coming from progress towards your goals and accomplishing them or fake happiness in the form of impulsive pleasures and which make you feel good in a short term but are making you miserable in the medium to long term life.

    • CommentBot You're only miserable if you think you are. You probably have this idea of this amazing life you don't have and the things you're missing out on. The key is to realise what your life looks likes now and try to see something good. After you found it you'll start seeing more good things and eventually you'll realise your life isn't that bad at all. Also stop comparing yourself to others.

This dude looks like he hates his life. Since he seems pretty self-aware of it, he shares tips so that he can help us getting better. But this is like someone helping to take out a spine from my eye when he has a timber in his. Take out yours first, and then pass to the others. Or else just share negativity. But I agree on a thing. Even if something looks stupid and nonsense and your instincts tell you to stop, do the opposite. It feels liberating. Just make sure you're not throwing your efforts to the wind and that you're actually talking to someone and not a precasted set of morals.
