Very nice. I’m still amazed, no matter what the wood, how finely its cut, even how well it is sanded, the wood comes to life when the finish is applied. Well done!

Jack when I seen those giant clamps at the beginning I actually thought they were Acro Props and I couldn’t figure out if you were gonna turn something or put an extension on workshop..😆

I died when you toppled the tower. made me remember the days I loved Jenga. Your journey to the final piece, and the piece itself, make me wish I had the skills, talent, and steady hands to make this art. Always impressive!
Not only is the entire project well done but love the way the project's lid is designed to fit into the base.

When you are an artist you can create beauty out of anything. I once knew about a guy from Chile who made jewelry from guano. Nice woodworking technique.

I went from 9 pin bowling club to giant pepper grinder until I saw the finished item , from a distance it looks like glazed saltware pottery too , just smashing Jack , really like yer stuff , can’t afford it 😆 but I like it . Well done son 👍🏴

Outstanding work! Question: The video is edited and sped up for time purposes; approximately how long did the turning take? The prep work was a lot of watching the glue dry; while not discounting it, I don't want to include it in the total work time...! Thanks for posting another fine video! Keep doing what you love!
About 2 hours. Thanks for your comment 👍🏻 With the glue up it was about 2 and a half hours

Have you thought about an instructional video teaching push , pull & scraper cuts with a (very) sharp grind ? Your chisel control is excellent . That came out very well for softwood 👍
I don’t make educational videos Peter. Too much time involved with editing and voice overs. I run a very busy woodturning business and only just squeeze these videos into my limited free time. Plenty instructional videos out there, but if you really want to learn it’s often best to pay for lessons from a professional turner. Anyone can put up a KZhead video and a great deal of turners I see on here definitely shouldn’t be teaching 😉 Ps.. the Jenga set is made from Ash. 👍🏻
@@JackMackWoodturning That explains the finish 🤣🤣. I ran a copy lathe for years , the hand turning lads regularly did 1 on 1 Lessons which is definitely the way to learn properly. Safe & quick. 👍

@@JackMackWoodturning yes but not as many layers just going four deep and I'm going to put them through the table saw and sharpen the edges the wood is cuy but I'm having health problems just getting over a big one and now a scary diagnosis I hope I can beat

I don’t think that will be an issue but I guess time will tell. I’ve made piece with similar construction over the last 20 years and still own a couple of them. Non have ever delaminated.
