Vinnie Jones On Music In Dressing Rooms, Elton John & Guy Ritchie | Football Music & Me
Geoff meets footballer-turned-Hollywood-hardman Vinnie Jones, who recalls blaring his ghetto blaster in the Wimbledon dressing room throughout the 80s and 90s - and the truth behind Brian Clough smashing it to bits. Vinnie’s mad tales include singing Puppy Love with Donny Osmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s living room, Elton John trying to woo him to sign for Watford, and why he turned down a Christmas single with Simon Cowell.

He was incredible in The Gentleman series. Played a completely different character in mannerisms and completely nailed it. I hope there's a season 2 👀
Hope so to
There's a 110% chance there will be a season 2.
Season 2 just confirmed.
I wish they gave more of an insight into his character. Unless I missed it, there was no back story to him.. but he clearly had a criminal/underworld background, the way he held himself and his knowledge etc
All will become apparent during season 2, look out for the line referencing "made in Middlesbrough"
I could listen to Vinnie all day. What a man. I just stopped in my tracks to listen to him. ❤️
Legend! That era of bloke and Football. They’ve got a million stories and you just get lost in them.
Vinnie Jones never been my cuppa, but after him saying how he was regarding Brian Clough..... Huge RESPECT for Vinnie!
Get Vinnie on Stick to Football as well!
That would be epic. They'd have a right laugh or some of them might still hold grudges.
hes a great talker, loved that
@@scipioafrikanus9511 you mean Vinnie could lose it and tackle Roy on the show
To be honest, I don't think Roy would hold any grudges. Neville won't care. Not sure about Carragher. Minnie and Wrighty get on well. It would be a great hour to watch though. They'd have a right laugh.
Do Vinnie and Keano get along?
Excellent, excellent guest. Oh the stories this guy has. More Vinnie on Stick to Football, please!
Vinnie is a true character of the game and an overall legend.
"We've just seen God" Never a truer word been spoken!! Brian Clough ❤️
Fantastic interview with a legend, thank you Geoff! "Show me the way to go home," excellent, its getting me emotional 😂❤

Excellent interview, never liked Wimbledon but I could listen to Vinnie all day long, he's lived 3 lifetimes in one,
Incredible interview. What a character Vinnie!
Lovely to hear this, he broke my heart when I was 10 years old and watching the 1988 FA Cup final and his Wimbledon beat my Liverpool for the cup. I remember the game well, Wise, Fashanu were also immense. Sounds like a nice humble bloke. Top man! Gone in 60 seconds was an awesome movie he was in! 'It's been emotional!'
Then a year later Michael Thomas shattered your heart!
New series with Vinne and Guy Ritchie is the gentlemen on Netflix. Ep 1 is the funniest thing I’ve seen this year Oh my god 😂😂

Brilliant interview. Vinnie seems a great guy and different to the hardman image of his playing days (still a geezer though!). Really enjoyed that.
Wow Vinnie Jone what a bloke. Loving this series look forward to meeting lots of legends on it.
Geoff is an underrated interviewer to be fair. Quality football pundit, but even better in conversational format.
He is a master communicator.

Vinnie is the boss. Definitely a film of his life needs to be looked at. Only thing. You will need to ask his permission. Good luck 🤣🤣👍

I served Vinnie when he came into my record shop in the early 90s, he was after a 7" copy of Wooly Bully by Sam the Sham & The Pharaoh's but it had long been deleted.
Great interview guys well done 🎉
Vinny...One of those players you utterly hated back in the day...Yet warmed to immensely since he retired. As a Blue, thanks for 1988, I once got thank Dave Bessant personally when bumping into him at an airport years ago

King of the Crazy Gang to Lord of the countryside, a fascinating Bloke is our Vinnie.
Love Vinnie, proud to say he played for my club Leeds United & we are the club hes played for with a Leeds tattoo .
One of my favourite memories of Vinnie was him drinking beers with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WWF Capital Carnage '98. Absolute icon.

Love you vinnie the crazy gang the gentleman was fantastic ❤
Love Vinnie Jones, still furious about that tackle he put in on Steve McMahon in the 1988 cup final, but what a player he was, Magnificent Midfielder, would get sent off every week in 2024 but a quality midfield player.
What a legend Vinnie jones
Nice one.
top man vinnie.
This is great
Top top man. Loved here in Leeds. Cult hero
I played for Frickley with his mate Billy Whitehurst after he'd retired from pro football.
Remember asking Vinnie for an autograph in Colney Heath at Queens Head football pitch when I was a kid. Lived around the corner from his parents place.
Bet Vinnie remembers Jock from the Queens Head.

One of the good guys is Vinnie.
Wimbledon didn't beat Forest 4-0, whether it was in his first game or forth game after scoring in hi first three. Strange lie to say.
