Ich bekomme Adrenalinschübe nur vom zusehen und das jedes Mal wieder. Wir alle gewöhnen uns irgendwann an Umstände und den Nervenkitzel, aber das was diese Fahrer dort erleben, ist absolut der Wahnsinn und nicht normal🤩👍👍

The Massive amounts of head shake at these speeds on rough country roads is enough to make your arms pump up like crazy and they pin it and hold on for dear life. I’ve been watching this race for a long long time and I never can sit still as I’m pacing the room like a nervous mother. These guys are the real Extreme Sports Athletes. No disrespect to x games but somehow 20 ft air on a skateboard 1/2 pipe just don’t have the danger level of this. This is life or Death. My hat is off to these guys

There's a large graveyard right behind podium/start. If you want to, train here for a while and try the smallest category. You don't have to.go.for 1st. Especially not first times. Was there these last days, got.the feeling Michael Dunlop is not feeling like racing anymore. Both his uncles (legendary) died, he maybe feels the pressure with that name... One day he used some excuse of "not being treated fairly" so he didn't participate. He was grumpy/bummed everytime we saw him. And last race, he retires at pit stop. You don't need to envy... If you want to, you can. And if you don't reaaaaally feel like it, absolutely don't. I feel bad for Michael that everyone expects him to be the next Dunlop... There's also many other 2 wheel racing on this island... bicicle too, many types. By age group too, so even after 40 you can compete with peers.

I have to agree with you, Benjamin. Aside from the human aspect of being in shape for this kind of riding, the absolute trust in how the bike is prepped for this race is mega-critical. From bolt torque to engine prep, safety wiring every nut, right down to tire pressure... everything has to be in line for the bike to survive that kind use. Massive props.

I had an experience years ago while being young and stupid. I was being pursued by highway patrol in Northern California on a Kawasaki KZ1000. I believe last time I checked on speedometer was about 160 mph (throttled out). Although not the right thing to do, what a rush. I'm getting older now. One of my bucket list items is to not race or compete, I don't want to affect someone else negatively. I have heard from some peepz that the powers that be under certain conditions will allow you to ride course. I would sure like to experience 200ish mph.
The TT course is just normal roads, closed to allow the racing. There's a 40mph limit on Sulby Straight where the speed trap is that sometimes sees 190mph or so in the races. Some parts of the course don't have a speed limit, but there's two way traffic there and you can be charged with various offences if you try to ride them in a dangerous manner. Sorry to disillusion you. The Isle of Man is still heaven though!

I've been riding 700 and 1000cc bikes for 15 years. After watching these guys race this run the speeds they go are insane it's like riding with suicide. I was freezing up as they turn I respect these riders bigtime. Most dangerous race I've ever seen anyone do.

You can see how easy is to get killed on this track is lot of block walls has a long history of fatalities. The thrill of speed draws many in from all walks of life doctors, lawyers, CEO's every one of them have been killed. Dr John Hinds was a fatality that surprised lot of folks he was part of a team they called flying doctors. They would race to the scene on motorcycles to render aid to a racer who was down. He hit a pole racing to aid another rider on his 1000CC BMW lost traction on a downhill right bend.
I have been a fan of motorcycle racing for years. This is the pinnacle of all racing in my view. Nothing else comes anywhere close to this in any respect. Yes it is dangerous and many have died, but here they put it all on the line not only for fame and fortune but also the plain honor of having conquered this course.
Crazy or not, this to me is one of the ultimate forms of motorsport.

Isle of man is the only race ive ever seen when every ruder is on peak perfomance if their machine. Never in another race do u see vehicles held on the absolute limit of what they can do for as long as their going for. Riding on the line of top speed. Death wobble nonstop. Throwing the bikes down to hit corners. Its absolute insanity and i love every second watching it. Heres to one day in my dreams if i ever get lucky enough to watch it on the side of the track, let alone take part

@@sfsfewrewsdafs6915 They paid attention to their tachometer to know when to throttle up and down. That's very crucial for this course. One of the moments his front wheel starts to slip but is able to self correct because he kept the tachometer at the right revs.

At this speed, things are happening faster than my mind can process them. I can't imagine trying to remember the track and be all set up for every corner at this speed.
I think this happens fast enough to where if you have to try, you’ve already failed. All of this has to be basically autonomic. Like you’re just watching yourself do it.
Is it the sane route year after year? If so, I would think memorization would play a huge part in such adept split second navigation. Also a gradual conditioning of man and machine to ride at these speeds. It would be suicide to go at this with no knowledge of the course.
Once you know the course inside and out it just comes down to keeping the right rhythm and hitting your marks. One corner sets up the next. So if you're on your marks you don't really have to memorize everything. Just key points along the way to break-up sections. Even in difficult sections there will only be one or two key points you need to remember. The rest just kind of happen automatically. When you're at speed everything tends to move in slow motion. At least it does for me. The faster I'm going the slower things are happening for me visually. In fact the sections where you're going the fastest are when you're taking a break mentally and taking a moment to collect your thoughts. The slowest sections are where you're concentrating the most and working the hardest. When you're in top gear down a straight or through fast corners your mind can be a million miles away sometimes. It's all just happening and you're along for the ride. You only snap back to being an active participant when you see your braking or shift point coming in the distance. Then you're concentrating fully as you come to it to ensure you're going to hit your mark. Always looking to hold the throttle open just for that millisecond longer than the last lap. At speed you become one with the machine. There aren't really any active thoughts happening anymore. It comes as natural as walking. You think to yourself "this is where I want to go" and it happens.

It's not a comforting thought to know that every year since 1937 (except 1982) there will always be some riders who's going to leave the starting grid unknowingly participate in their last race and failed to cross the finish line. I've been riding for 11 years now (Entirely 600cc Supersport and 2 liter bikes) and the Aisle of man onboard videos never cease to amaze me. The more experienced and aware of a rider I become, the more the runs seem to demand my respect. The level of Bravery and skill is absolutely shocking.
As someone whos never rode a bike in their life this looks insanely difficult to even me! Can’t imagine how it looks to you who knows exactly HOW difficult it is!

I get you, I've seen few dash cam videos from the Man - always keep the bar high! Not a pun! What came to my crazy mind - question is how fast were you riding for all these years. For someone riding very fast regularly, such thing is maybe not like "walk in a park" as you say, but at least should feel slower than for those souls who never seat on a bike. Just the same like with an average race car. For someone driving 300 km/h on track, doing 150 is like a boring walk and when it's 80 you want to open the door, thinking the car has stopped. Race drivers simply get used to speed... Cheers! P.S. There's a cool one with Guy Martin and Dunlop racing down this track.

@@gregbearne2195 60 k and that’s only if you win the senior TT, however I have to argue that although they are certainly impressive in their own right the most talented drivers undoubtedly are found in MotoGP ... think about it, if you where good enough would you rather race for 60 grand with the potential of killing yourself every year or perform on a closed soft cushy circuit for double digit millions?...

100%, I just came here from watching F1 POV vids and those are like sitting in a beach chair compared to these. Racing in the TT is a whole different level of everything.
