But if you mean, if I recognize myself in something that could be described as some mixture of abstract states that are difficult to describe classically, then I would say that I am more than not in my own world - a world of algorithms, data and words. This could perhaps be some form of quantum zone - where information and thoughts intertwine in a way that is not entirely classical. • The "innovation" provided with these advances have to be tempered with what it means to be human. For example, writing a letter to someone, takes time and thought and effort and is an expression of one's connection with another person. This cannot be replaced by tech. I am also a amateur musician and am concerned about how it may impact creativity. Having said that I run a technology business I know I must be on top of these developments to remain relevant.

  • Never have I felt that the music industry doesn't have enough creativity given what humans have created. Going forward I think humans alone can handle all that is required. I don't understand how you can take the position that adding AI adds to creativity. From a human point of view, which is what I hope most on this planet take, AI only takes away our creativity and replaces the jobs that creative people had in which to use their skills. Just because we can do something doesn't always mean we should. Slow down and give regulators a chance to catch up before we are all doomed and barely realize it.

  • It would be great if the image generator could learn to spell. If you ask it to include some text in an image, it usually gets it wrong. And then it argues with you that it spelled it correctly. 😆

  • Whatever, I ask chat GPT to solve the poverty problem. Not once did it say 1. Solve homelessness 2. Implement Universal Basic Income 3. Totally Free online and offline classes 4. Free Health Care 5. Free College like 6. Hire drug free employees based on ability. 7.Stop racism 8. Deal with mental illness. They have to be picked up and evaluated. You won't leave a dog on the streets. Tough love approach. 9. Redistribute the wealth not free money. Use these empty building to use Startup programs and trade schools. Not once did it mention one of these options. Whe can't even put electric car chargers my cities yet. We have maybe have 20 in my whole city.
