Hunter and I head out for our second morning with @HeartlandWaterfowl to do some late season goose hunting. We set the spread and wait for the birds to fly. Thew first group of birds make for an unforgettable hunt!

im new to goose hunting, so I wandered what is so special about bandned goose?
Bands tell you information on the goose, such as when it was banded, hatched and where it was from. Usually rare to shoot one that is banded and very exciting when you do!

What does a band mean? Can someone explain ?
You report the numbers on them to find out all of the information on that specific bird. It will tell you where it was banded, when it was hatched, the species and gender of the goose and sometimes more info!

It’s like a trophy to a waterfowl hunter. Bird bands tell you all the identification of the bird it is on like the species, gender, when and where is was born and banded. It’s usually pretty rare to shoot one so whenever you get one it’s exciting.

Bands tell you where the bird is from, when it was banded, the species of the bird and other cool information. A band is a trophy to a hunter. You don’t come across bands often!
