"Hafiz" ~ A Thousand Stringed Instrument ~ Sufi Mystics

2024 ж. 1 Мам.
101 503 Рет қаралды

A selection of mystical poems rendered by Daniel Ladinsky in the style of Hafiz.
*** Please be aware of the issue around Daniel Ladinsky's translations of "Hafiz" According to Omid Safi, (Islamic Studies Professor at Duke University), Ladinsky's poems "have no earthly.connection. to what the historical Hafiz of Shiraz, the Persian sage, ever said. He is making it up. He admitted that they are not "translations", or "accurate", or has any knowledge of Persian in his 1996 book "I heard God laughing." Ladinsky actually states that Hafez appeared to him in a dream and handed him the ENGLISH “translations” he’s publishing."
Please also see the Wikipedia entry on the translation issue here:

  • Dear Listeners, this is an old recording where I used some copyrighted music in this video so YT plays ads to collect revenue for the record company. Sorry about that. There are many ways to overcome this. On your end, you can simply install an adblocker on your device (search Google for them - many are free); change your browser to "Brave browser" - it blocks all ads on all sites; join YT premium and avoid all ads on YT. The other easy option is to listen to my recordings (and download if you wish) either on my Google Drive or the many Podcast platforms where there are no ads. You can find links to all of these in the top right-hand corner from my Home page on my You Tube channel. Hope you can find some good options. The ads will only appear on those readings where the music is copyrighted and I am trying to avoid this now as much as possible these days. Warm regards

  • When studied, one appreciates an eloquent and "moving" Persian piece of myticism by a Sufi Poet, Hafez. A warm, sweet tea in hand, light, two Muslina, Bohemian cloths helps me feel Hafez's spirit, a guide! In a place where we as a country are experiencing the winter months, this reading meditation reveals to me a transformation of the self: a free, unattached, guided consciouness, mysticism, mystery and a bohemian way of life, a Somali woman: the bondages, a form was in, now all ropes are free, free. " He/She must love me": "( everything must love me)", attracting all to me and sinking deep into the blackhole: a shell of a woman who through sights and sounds has come to know about things in the wrong way, yet also in the right way!

    @hibomohamed7710@hibomohamed77103 жыл бұрын
    • Wow… your words are such beautiful poetry, written, I presume, by inspiration of poetry. You set a scene so serene… blessed by that which is bohemian and that which is botanical, natural yet neutral… the Beloved expressed boundlessly in that which is bound by form… may freedom always be yours. May it always be the outcome of all of your exploits and explorations. May it be ever evolving into newer forms as you venture further and further out into life’s great frontier and as you travel deeper and deeper inwardly into the once known, which we’ve given the name “the unknown.” May all shackles become bracelets… no longer locked down but rather crowned by all you’ve experienced and all you’ve known - pain and pleasure included. As you drape your space with bohemian cloths and wrap yourself in bohemian clothes, may the mystic in you be made to be your Lover… the Beloved so decadently woven into your very fabric of being. Your being is poetry… a love letter from the Beloved to the world, may you always feel the openness as eyes read the beauty that you are… Beloved made flesh… the fruition of seeds of love planted on this side of reality… Sip the tea prepared as a companion to orations by those who have come before you, but keep in mind, they now live in you… one day, someone will sip tea, on and in bohemian cloths - and they will think of you. Sending Love, Light, Harmony & Continued Good vibes to you and yours 🙏🏾😊❤️

Your soul is worthier than thousands of universes And shines brighter than thousands of most beautiful stars Yet, you are deeply shaken In this fragile human body Thinking you are lost... You were never lost You are loved! Above this dying world There's neverending Life Beyond chaos there's such a perfection Immposible to grasp All-pervasive Can you think of a beauty That shatters thought? God is immpossibly merciful None of us will ever stop to exist Our eternal existence Is imprinted in Light! We are made of Love! Paradise is a word that doesn't do It justice When souls meet in Heaven.. How can you hold your tears?

Like a little, soft bell sound or jingle, like you did on the guided meditation one. Since many (most?) of us listen with our eyes closed and often in meditation, it can be a bit difficult to keep track when the video ends and new one begins. Especially the ones with several different soundtracks. Many thanks! I gain a lot from your channel ❤️ It has quickly become a major resource in my life ☀️👍
