Wow has it been that long!? Wow. man when i first saw the movies when i was little. I was amazed by the story and horror. Especially sigourney weaver’s performance as ripley. My dad introduced to me the franchise. i wonder what sigourney weaver is gonna think of alien Romulus though? like 🤔or the original cast members of the first two original.
Tell me if im wrong. The alien franchise is WAYY more iconic and famous than predator. Not sure if its more iconic than terminator. But yeah. Alien movies all the wayy!! Fight me bro!!

The original trailer is the best one cause it doesn't even show the monster and no background narrator voice but you're still scared. Phenomenal job! I adore this series. Each Alien film adds something new and fresh to the lore, especially the original trilogy!

Les 3 films, surtout le 1er et le second sont des chefs d’œuvres cinématographiques incontestés pour les fans du genre !! Très très gros big up à Ridley Scott et Sigourney Weather👊🏼 Le 3eme volet est particulier, on aime ou pas, mais le jeu d’acteur de Charle S.Dutton alias le « prêtre » est à relever grandement sur cet opus 👍🏼 No comment sur le 4eme qui est à chier !! bâcler du début à la fin. M. Wincott qui meurt au bout de 5mn 🤷🏼♂️😵💫… bref une offense totale pour cette franchise !!! 🤮 Et pour tout le reste, à par un peu pour le fun sur l’idée « Predator contre alien » pour en comprendre l’origine avec le suivit de prometheus ( juste pour l’histoire aussi ) sont TOUS des échecs cuisants qui gâche à l’image de cette franchise !!! Pourtant j’apprécie bcp Naomie Rapoce et Michael Fassbender qui à lui seul !! sauve le film pour son jeu magistral !! 💪🏼🤩 Mais alors Charlize Theron et Idris Elba ont été nullissimes !! 🤦🏼♂️… à un degré moindre pour I.Elba car à sa décharge, il a eu un 3eme rôle totalement fantomatique et insignifiant dans le film. Pour Alien Convenant, idem que pour Prometheus, bcp de moyens mais des erreurs de casting ( à part pour Fassbender évidement ) pour un des films les plus vides et nul à oublier de toute urgence avec le 4eme !! Et je craint le pire pour celui à venir !! car vu le CASTING !! on se croirait dans Instagram ou Snapchat !! oser perdurer alors qu’il y a eu Weather voir N,Rapoce par cette nouvelle actrice !! est déjà une erreur grandissime c’est incompréhensible !!!! 😱🤦🏼♂️😭… En bref, les 3 premiers sont à retenir et feront parti des meilleurs films de ce type à revoir autant de fois que possible et sans jamais se lasser enfin personnellement…

Alien 3, especially the director's cut is such an underestimated movie!
Definitive, the director's cut is epic. The whole atmosphere is so depressing and hopeless. An ingenious (horror) psychological thriller. Alien 3 gets better from viewing to viewing. An absolutly amazing regie debut by Fincher.

@@marcdunn1167 I can imagine a cinema viewing would be Fantastic, for me this film felt sensitive and you got a real feel for the characters not to mention the excellent music , the truly brilliant cast and the dark gloomy setting of a place with no future or a ray of sunshine. On par with the first film in my eyes 👍

Yep keiner war bisher besser als Aliens (Alien 2). Platz zwei ist bei mir AvP (auch wenn es offiziell nicht zur Alien Saga gehört), den Film finde ich einfach mega geil.

Alien , Aliens, (and hopefully) Romulus as a 3rd installment ... the rest we don't really need in my humble opinion, because i wnt the franchise to go back to the atmosphere of the first 2 movies wich gonna be hard to accomplish.
I liked the prometheuses too, giving us more perspective of the origins of the aliens
If we don''t need Alien 3 then we would never get royal facehuggers, the DNA change ability of xenomorphs, some brilliant chase scenes and many other great things that were introduced in A3

Seguramente me expresé mal, en mi opinión, respecto a las sucesivas películas Alien, solamente la cuatrilogía dónde Sigourney Weaver protagoniza a Ripley son las trascendentes. Es verdad, no todas tienen el mismo nivel de la primera, aunque, en lo personal, cada una de ellas me siguen emocionando como la primera vez que las ví. Saludos

Was the "Alien" trailer issued for the re-release of this film years later? The only trailers I remember in 1979 where the "cracked egg" teasers, since I worked in a theater that had shown the original film.

That first one was from re-release, people don't do that annoying horn sound effects in EVERY horror/thriller movie trailers back in the days, the original one was more elegant and mysterious

Yeah this person hasn't even picked the original trailers for any on of the films.
The Alien trailer is a new version and not the unmatchable 79 original which showed hardly anything whereas this new one now shows too much,the Aliens and Alien 3 trailers are both great,the end of the Alien 3 trailer with Ripleys shivery frightened cry is not in the movie,that audio is not included in any version. Prometheus trailer is sort of like the 79 version,still shows a bit too much,Covenants trailer shows every beat in the film,most of the horror scenes are alluded to including the med scene and the f/hugger attacking,Romulus trailer is well done but again the facehugger leaping on someone is spoilerish or maybe i'm wrong and it never attaches itself.

The first Alien was really good, but Aliens was the greatest of the franchise, the 3 and 4 did it like much because the pictures too weak, the first AVP was very good and entertaining, but the AVP requiem’s actors their acting was very forced and weak, ant that killed the plot much. Prometheus is something that made me wonder and get me confused, because it doesn’t follow the plot from the first Alien movie that should have preceded which it was the idea, and then the covenant combined different situations in the plot of the film that should have continued with Prometheus but ended up being even more tangled, and the last one I need to see it first to make my opinion that it seems would be very interesting.
This is a joke. Never ever is this the original trailer from Alien. You created this grab. Wrong sound, reveals the key scene from the film. Must be from the same team , you creates the trailer for modern movies, because they have the same problem.

For me personally, there is only one trilogy. All what came after Fincher's outstanding debut performance was kinda soulless and became a victim of the capatilised film industry.
The new one looks good, I hope so. After the dismal Covenant, I had lost some faith.
