  • Story- so I was cleaning the pool with my dad once, and he gave me the pressure washer to clean the deck while he cleaned the actual pool. It was extremely satisfying, and at one point I kinda.. forgot how strong the pressure washer really was, and tried to use it to clean my foot. I ended up with a cut on my toe that lasted around.. a month or two?

  • 9:00 - I call bullsh on the deep cleaning vacuum... I've used many and even cleaned professionally (16:45) and I know that this is a cheap trick by people selling the vacuums, or workers trying to make a place look dirty but not really need a deep cleaning, it's just sprayed w/ a alcohol based spray that evaporates/dries quickly. Just like overspray from a spray paint can and how the paint will leave a sort of dust all over the place.... It doesn't adhere to a surface, just makes it look dirty. 18:00 is a great example of how you can fake a dirty car... SMH

It's literally my favorite thing to do, so much so that I'm usually given cleaning products/supplies for my birthday or Christmas, and then I spend the rest of the day day dreaming about all the stuff I'm going to clean the shit out of! My neighbors stove was horrific, and she tried to clean it for over a week, and when she told me that & said it was impossible I took it as a personal challenge, and it took me about 2-4hrs & it was sparkling white! Cleaning, it's the greatest thing ever!

I also have a tendency to clean when upset, so my buddy used to tell people to get a clean house just piss me off and leave, and when they get back it'll be spotless! I will literally daydream about cleaning I just love it that much! Besides walking it's the only thing I can do that slows my brain down to where I can actually think about one thing at a time, and not try to pick something from the racing thoughts jumbling up in my head, it's just a great feeling all around!

The staff was amazing to work with and the work was super gratifying. One house we did was of this elderly couple and the whole house was flooded because of a plumbing problem. We took out all the furniture, cleaned it, took out the carpeting and replaced it with new carpet, and cleaned out the built in cabinets etc. The bosses loved how well I did, mostly for my strength, speed, and intense attention to detail. They wanted to hire me on a permanent basis. But for some weird reason, Labor Ready wouldn't let them, saying they had a "contract" with me which wasn't true. This actually happened quite a few times with other temp jobs I got set up with. I love using pressure washers. It's so much fun and relaxing.

If you have a clog through normal toilet paper, it's because you used a freaking ton a whole lot of times but wet wipes are not flushable and they are not toilet paper

Olympics that there was a newscast about how, at least in some althetes dorms, they were told to not flush toilet paper and told to dispose of TP in a waste basket next to to toilet. It may have been because of poor plumbing in the building. I have heard of other countries, Asian island I believe, that you are not to flush TP. Then again, bidets are very popular in a lot of other countries as well. Also, I agree about the wipes being a HUGE problem with plumbing from the toilet to the waste water treatment plant.

  • Cleaning can be so relaxing. A few weeks ago I was really stressed out and when my father revealed that he had used oil (oil!) on the computer's fans so they would 'work better' I lost it. I opened the pc's cabinet and there was so. much. dust! It was absurdly dirty, with pieces of dust and balls of furry dirt. I had to use a mask to work. Unscrewed everything, unplugged all cables, removed all components and went over them with a hair dryer to get the gross part out first, then a toothbrush where the electric components weren't visible and finished with a kabuki/makeup brush. Took me hours but by the end it was so clean that I was no longer stressed. I was super tired, but not stressed anymore. There's just something about cleansing other stuff that really calms you.

But also soooooo satisfying once you were done :) I agree with you, it really is satisfying but damn, I hope I never find myself in that situation. Why did he use oil? 🤔

      @EverydayKIWI@EverydayKIWI2 жыл бұрын
    • @@EverydayKIWI Whenever someone would sit down to use the computer after it had been shut down for a while the internal fans would start a loud noise as if the whole thing was ready to take off. My father thought, "hey, it must be just like a normal fan right, when you use it too much the oil around the spinning parts gets heated and dry off so eventually they start to make a noise because it's all kinda scraping in there" - and then he used a little bit of good ol' oil in them. That, and he sprayed contact cleaner *all over* the motherboard, RAM, and graphics card just for good measure. I mean, sure, sometimes it's the thought that counts, but yikes! I felt my stomach dropping when he happily told me what he had done. He was just so proud of himself, lol.

  • For the PS4 controller one, I can tell there is no warranty on it. As the thumbsticks are heavily worn out, and had that much dirt. It is sometimes easier to clean the controller by taking it apart. As the dirt can get into the controller and screw up the analog sticks. The smallest cat hairs ruin my sticks, so I gotta clean it whenever I get any form of drift.
