ABOUT VOGUE
Vogue is the authority on fashion news, culture trends, beauty coverage, videos, celebrity style, and fashion week updates.
Anna Wintour needs to do more of breaking down looks, she is a wealth of knowledge regarding fashion history and we need to see her talk more!
A masterclass she should host.
That she doesn't apply to herself
Shes the best.
You can buy het book in a couple years ok
@@notthedoctor8621she's extremely fashionable for an editor & has made herself iconic by sticking to what she likes - name another fashion editor as recognisable
they better NOT disappoint this MET and do him justice
And Blake Lively won’t be there! 😩
@@christhesartorialist oh no?! Is it bc of her pregnancy? Or has she just had the baby? Blake and Ryan are so secretive about babies lol
THIS,
💯💯💯
hope they don't. i would rather they all just come in basic chanel(or fendi or balmain or lagerfeld) than try to be groundbreaking in dumb ways
I love how Anna shared that Karl could be seen in such a glamorous light but in the end he would say “I’m just a dressmaker”. It is so humbling to hear and directly parallels what Anna said about Karl’s essence being in the 18th century.
I just cried a bit when she said "thank you" to Karl. You can clearly see the meaningful friendship that they both had.
Emotional for sure
😂😂😂😂 girl wipe your face.. please know Karl didn't like this woman 😂😂😂😂😂
@@TALKTRUTHJAMAICA untrue
@@JoJoPors_ Jojo it's a fact! He did not care for her.. do we need to go back Anna's wedding?
@@TALKTRUTHJAMAICA Please share....🤔
You can tell: in many ways Grace Coddington is the mastermind behind many things…
If you've ever seen the September issue you would know that Grace is absolutely the mastermind behind a lot of the success at vogue Miss Wintor although probably reluctantly she recognizes that fact about Grace!
@@MYTHOUGHTS46 Yes! I was thinking the same thing. I'd rather have a met gala dedicated to Grace tbh...
@@MYTHOUGHTS46 "Wintour."
The Chanel No5 film with Nicole Kidman it truly is one of the most iconic fashion commercials I have ever seen. So remarkable, they literally gave you a tale in 2 minutes without even naming the brand. I really hope the gala and the exhibition would make justice to Karl's legacy since he was one of the most emblematic figures in contemporary fashion, and I may say, in pop culture.
Literally one of my favorites
Not sure. It seemed overblown and over-styled to me.
Nicole wore the dress
@@re7416 you’re like the one that takes the fun out of Baz! Congratulations, I guess
Anna Wintour sure has taste. We can all trust that she will give us information we all deserve to know.
I'm so excited to see how everyone will interpret Karl's designs and influence on the industry at the MET!!!
They will disappoint you
everyone except...
Oh that’s great news! Will be amazing!
Hopefully they stay on theme ….
Looking back, vogue seriously invested in producing some of the most cinematic, iconic, and transformative fashion storytelling editorials.
This is when a nepo baby works. She is truly passionate about fashion. She was also instrumental in John Galliano’s success like suggesting him to take over Dior and encouraging him year after year before he was a big name.
I think she is truly passionate about business
@@DMHN84 She is aware of business but fashion is her main passion. A shrewd business person would try to cut all costs as much as possible while she valued creativity and glamor over saving money.
That comment was not necessary
@@blackvirgo09 yes it was, usually they’re worthless and bad at their jobs
I see no nepotism here. She isn't promoting her kids here, only people that she believes in.
I was just hypnotised by her jacket the whole time.
That Chanel No 5 x Nicole Kidman x Baz Luhrmann commercial is still one of the most iconic fashion commercial ever made. That floating pink feather couture dress & that black dress with the most gorgeous train & silhouette w/ that stunning No 5 diamond jewellery resting on Nicole Kidman’s back when she turned around are just images that stick with you. It’s iconic.
Back when Vogue had the most fabulous and glamorous editorials. Sadly those days are probably gone forever. 💔
Anna wintour makes her empire look devalued If you can't get beat the Kardashians join them lmao...
😞
It's been years since I even looked at Vogue or any other magazine. I gave up after realizing the last issue I bought didn't even start until 30+ pages in -- the entire first quarter of it was advertising!! And the rest was advertising interspersed with half-pages of text that didn't even rate being called an 'article'.
@@leapintothewild The New Yorker isn't iike that.
I love it that she pointed at Karl’s 18th century obsession. Karl himself kept repeating that he never looked back, but this was his fantasy. And I hope someone to reference that at the red carpet.
I remember all the photos and the stories. The second one with Naomi Campbell was the reason I bought my first American Vogue. I kept them for years, but had to throw them out when I moved. Thank you Anna, Vogue and Karl.
Oh I wished you kept them!!
So refreshing to see Anna always referencing the works of Grace Coddington.
Put Anna, Karl and Chanel in a video…….instantly….immediately ICONIC…..❤
There’s something about Anna’s poise, charisma and words that is so captivating. Also her signature idk why but I’m obsessed. Hoping everyone will give justice to this years MET.
As a long time reader of Vogue, I remember ALL of these moments with love, nostalgia, and respect. So much beautiful and inspirational art. Thank you Karl, Vogue, etc. ❤
This was just splendid, so glad to be a part of a time with such brilliant geniuses of fashion and art.
i love how knowledgeable she always is
Dear Vogue, we need more Anna Content, please ❤
So great hearing all the backstories! I could listen to Anna all day long:)
Oh my goodness, I kept the Nicole Kidman and the Kirsten Dunst Vogue issues. Those spreads were intoxicating to look at. They took teenage me to a luxurious textural dreamland. I kept them for over ten years alongside about 25 of my favorite magazine issues. I’m so moved to see them again!
I love this description! Being young and experiencing magazines and the luxury they channel is a visceral feeling
That jacket Anna is wearing is drop dead gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing the stories behind these captivating photos. These stories reveal so much about how these photos came to be. Many thanks! ❤
I love that Caroline Trentini made it into Karl’s studio as a gift, what an amazing portrait by Irving Penn
but anna didnt mention caroline...
That Alice in Wonderland Vogue Magazine is the first mag I have seen. I was blown away!
I could listen to her talk about fashion & designers FOR HOURS💯❤️ so educated & a soothing voice
Great run through with Anna. I love these videos with backstory. Thank you. 💚🌱
The photo of Karl at his desk was very moving and inspiring. Thank You ❤
I love this so much! Anna really is giving us a lot of insight! ❤❤❤
What a beautiful way of paying tribute to his creativity, impact on culture and fashion, and his friendship with Anna.
Beautiful 10 minutes spent with legendary icons of fashion; Anna Wintour, I could listen to you all day.. More please!
Thank you for all of the secret stories! Such an amazing artist!
We were just getting started. I could listen to Anna break down design for days.
Thank you so much Anna! This is so inspiring! I really love your personal stories about Karl - and the photos of his desk and the modeling shoots! I loved the Alice in Wonderland theme! This is Marvelous! Thank you so much!
I sighed at the end. That was beautiful
YESS. THIS WAS THE CONTENT I WAS LOOKING FOR
Looking forward to it! Thank you Anna Wintour 🌻
It was so sweet how she started to get emotional about Karl toward the end 🥺🥺🥺🥺 you can tell they where so much more then coworkers.
Oh my goodness.... it's Ms. Patricia sitting next to Renee at the Chanel show. Mouth drop.
Yes!! Exactly what I gasped at!!! She really is The Lady.
Seems like this time anna is specifically excited for the met
The apotheosis of Karl's talent to me was the 2006 spring couture collection, at the Grand Palais. It is one of the prettiest poems I seen
Thank you for the video, Anna!
Miss Karl so much and love to hear Anna talking about fashion. More please....
So beautiful to see this, all the memories and moments ❤
This is the first time I see Anna being emotional
Perhaps thee most inspiring post. Ever. Thank you.
Her friendship with Karl was so special...Two passionate, two code changers and two so fiercely lovers of fashion...their friendship made them one. True love and respect. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video! Thank you ❤
My Queen you always be the best. Thank you so much for teaching us all your acknowledge. 👸🏼❤
Truly enjoyed this video.
Thank you Vogue. Thank you Anna. Bless you Karl. Inspiration is your gift to us all.
I love seeing the city ballerina again. I had that issue and was mesmerized with that photoshoot
I just love those over the top histories in the fashion world. Karl will always be a legend! Thank you, Vogue!
I love learning the stories behind these images.
He was absolutely amazing❤❤❤.
I’m dying for that Chanel jacket. I adore her taste in style. Usually whatever she wears I love them too. I find myself to have similar style. I’m also maximalist, love colors and prints and furs, and I never wore black head to toe. ❤Anna, ❤Karl and ❤Chanel.
Couture, isn't wonderful
The last photo was just everything.
She had to hop on camera for this one, much respect 💜
Beautiful tribute!
The way her voice cracked at the end because she got emotional made me emotional too
i love anna, is very emotional in this episode
I wish we saw more of such looks at the Met this year!
looking forward to this MET
Thankyou Ms Wintour
thank you Anna for the insights
The last picture make me cry ❤️🥺🇦🇷😢💔
u guys better have made a “whats in my purse” video with her!!!! we’ve been asking to see it
anna's memory is so sharp! i can barely remember what i had for lunch yesterday. would love to listen to her talk for hours telling stories of the oast, present, and future.
Fashion is my sport, and I'm always team CHANEL.
Fashion is my sport.... But... Just on TV 😅
Thank you for sharing 🌹
Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld .. Thank you Vogue ❤️
She is so educated and well spoken, I loved seeing her talk about her craft, and reminds us all why she does not need to introduce her last name.
Cultured ✔️ | Educated...🤐 (U might wanna check out Anna's OWN comments about her academic ability. Or lack there of....)
@@re7416 educated doesn’t always refer to school.
The photo with the ball gowns, leather jackets, biker boots and motorcycles is the one that sticks out in my memories.
I need this to be at least an hour.
A wonderful video. Thank you.
Love, it. thank u Anna !!!
Team Saint-Laurent.
Wonderful tribute
It means a lot for fashion lovers❤❤❤
Now thisss is an ICON!
Can’t wait for the MET
Thank you, Anna!
She’s a woman with impeccable taste, makes me wonder what Anna’s Starbucks order is currently
she's too rich for Starbucks lol.
She had a Starbucks cup in the video
@@daemondost7168 rich people love to be frugal
I don't know about that. She never changes her look.
Thank you Anna, for reminding us of his legacy personally. Danke dir Anna, dass du persönlich uns an sein Vermächtnis erinnerst.
that was so personell and moving thank you Anna
PS- ❤ i love you, with all my heart and soul, and every fiber of my being, dearest Anna. i wish so much i was there serving glasses of champagne and some hors d'oeuvres in a spiffy bow tie, or doing whatever needs to be done, within reason :) but, alas, i shall be lounging and streaming the event. i need some Chanel cat eye front row glasses, lighter lenses so i can wear them in and outdoors and see, preferably white for summer, and, i suspect this will be one of the finest, memorable, and most noteworthy exhibitions, which i will really need to experience in person, that the met has ever had, and would make Karl very proud and honored :)
initially I read the first part in my notifications where it just says "Anna Wintour breaks down" and was kinda concerned 😅
i actually cried - this was beautiful
those editorials made me the person i am today. didn't know karl was involved
What an incredible story 🤍
Love the rich history told by a professional in the field. 💐💐
THE iconic professional.
thank you !
Karl was a genius unmatched. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
These are timeless and exquisite....
i love chanel & karl lagerfeld 🎉🎉🎉🫶🏻🫰🏼💖🔥🖤✨✨✨
I don’t know how she is not bored of seeing herself in the mirror for so many years absolutely the same..
Karl, the one who was able to completely revolutionize fashion by mixing up elegance, history, and modernity. No other designer has ever been able to leave a so full of culture legacy as he has. Karl was the perfect combination of knowledge, love for the past and foresight for the future. What he did at Chloe, Balmain, Fendi, Chanel and at his ononymous label will never be forgotten, as it is an incredible part of fashion history.
