Hey, I subscribed to the Alux app 6 months back. Will my subscription renew at $99/year or $199/year?
I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio of $450k dwindle away is such an eye -sore.
There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 1.8million.

I am 53 and retired at 50. 1 thing I did do to retire early was to get out of the 401K and IRA programs. Bought rental real-estate and I am now a Limited Partner in about 1500+ units from collabrative efforts in the fund my estate planner has me invested in. I do not work.
I only contribute 5% to get full company match, that’s it. The 401K plan is designed for you to work until you are about dead. Also, the government does not have their hands on it yet either.
My wife and I live off of our 401K. We don't work. I recommend highly to everyone to build your 401K or Roth IRA's as an alternate revenue stream in retirement to your Social Security. An observation on 401K's is when it gets over 300K it starts to accelerate. When you get over 500K it can really accelerate as the stock market grows.

Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. In my opinion Investment and trading in this economy is a living hell at times for the average person that wants full control of their finances, Even investing in EFT stocks can be very much risky. Without a financial advisor to tailor strategies and optimize plans for better outcomes for your investments, people miss out on potential investment opportunities that could change the game for them.
The market is pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

I assume this $1.2m in cash flow is based on a 6% cap rate? I would not suggest buying commercial and or residential all cash. You’ll see bigger returns when you leverage and mortgage. How to calculate financial freedom number? How much money do I need to become financially independent?
$5M is the number for most people living in the West, in less well off countries the number is lower.
The general formula is to figure out how much income you need every year, divide that by 4%, and then make sure the expected return on your investments are above 8%. Say you need 10K per year. 10K/0.04=250K That'll give you 20K per year from 8% gains, you'll use half of that and the other half will be left in the investments to keep up with inflation. The more you need per year, the more you'll need to invest. The more volatile your investments are, the more you'll need to allocate to cash on hand in order to withstand expected drawdowns. Your numbers will be different of course, you'll need some different income and have some different investment strategy. 5 million is a ridiculous figure, that would provide 200K a year on a 4% withdrawal rate and most people can live on far less than that. Coast FI is different. If you're not going to withdraw money yet, then you just need to figure out what your FI number is going to be at retirement adjusted for inflation, then use a present value calculator to find out how much you'll need today in order to have that much in the future given your expected rate of return on your investments. The younger you are, the lower your coast FI number is. If you start young enough then you could even calculate retiring at 40 and have a reasonable shot at doing it with a regular job.

I had to pay attention to this. It might help me what to do with my money when I win the lottery or somebody pity me to make me their beneficiary with others.
It is simple. Invest the 100 million dollars into an asset that can give continuous cash flow, which is guaranteed and predictable. This can then be reinvested into the market. Also, the first person i am hiring is a lawyer who will allow me to protect the money and a CPA who will lower the taxes and protecting me from the biggest and legal theif.
I have 35% of my capital investments in an IRA, 25% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts totalling over $250k. I took a big hit in Q2, 2023. Right now i am just looking for ways to recover in 2024.
