Small tiny projects are the most satisfying overall. Everything is co ing togethert.❤❤❤
We had a dog that passed recently. Her name was Cheeto. She got a fungal disease in her lungs from eating grass and dirt. The symptoms did not show up until it was too late to treat her. She was 9 years old and such a good dog. We miss her.
I had a puppy long time ago ani had to take her to the vet several times for stomach fungus something like that from eating leaves and sticks she was able to get well with antibiotics.
We lot our blue healer to a snake bite we miss him so much
Hidden Heights Farm lost guardian dog from mold? or something similar respiratory inflammation from musty hay or straw that was being used for bedding for goat's
My granddaughter had a Catahoula and it ate something in the dog run and she lost him. The Vet did all he could to save him but couldn't. Prayers for you. I know my granddaughter was devastated, she had rescued him from New Orleans after Katrina.
I’m so so sorry for your loss.💔 It’s not your fault and I sure you took good care of her.
They do have a special Miracle Gro just for roses.
Over watering, This is definitely the second most common reason for yellow rose leaves. The dog urine contains concentrations of salt which can burn the surface roots but a healthy rose bush will replace those damaged roots with healthy new ones over the next growing season or two.
Yep, yellow leaves mean too much water!!! You might want to see if you just need to prune that dead limb off. It may have gotten damaged, so don't drown it trying to save a dead limb!!!😊🎉❤
My dad tried raising rabbits one time for food. They were all white, and adorable. He did butcher one, but he didn’t have the heart to butcher anymore and gave them all away, and that was the end of his raising rabbits..
We did the same thing with chicken’s!
The cold snap probably nipped the little buds.. they have got frost bite..Hopefully all the babies will do well..The other babies grew so fast..They’re so cute..
Totally agree! Too cute
I was raising beautiful rabbits back in the day. I thought they were going to loving homes. My (then) husband knew they were meat rabbits and I was mortified when I caught on 2 years later🤦🏼♀️ Chickens however, zero issues raising and eating....beef cow either🤷🏼♀️
Thumbs Up Everyone!👍💞 They deserve it! I’m so so happy that y’all decided to keep Bruce!!♥️ Someone May still pull up and Try? to reclaim him But if you take care of an animal for 30 days, it legally belongs to you.👍♥️
Just tell them No. They didn’t take good care of him. You can definitely prove it by the fact that you’ve been taking good care of him. Hopefully no body tries. He’s So Happy with y’all!❤ Don’t allow it. You have Rights!
My bnl raised rabbits and his rabbits would have 10-12 bunnies with no problems raising them. I'd say shoot the feed to her so she has high milk production. Good luck Jessica....thats a Lot of children!!!
LUV WATCHING ALL THAT GOD GIVEN CREATION'S GOING ON OVER THERE '' STAY BLESSED !!
Put as many marigolds as you can fit in around all squash plants including pumpkin. It really does reduce the white flies and squash bugs. They hate the smell of marigolds and you get a little extra "pretty" in your garden
That bunny manure is the best for the garden. It won’t burn your stuff and it doesn’t have to cure or anything.
Rose bush has 3 reasons it might be turning yellow. Over or under watering and soil needs iron.
I raised over 100 rabbits & didn't want to mention it but I had a couple of Momma's that had large litters & they survived. I don't know how but they move about so much I think they just get bumped around & manage to eat on the run as they pop back & forth. Death can be just unhealthy ones not necessarily not enough to eat. Large litter could mean they are early & not enough room to go full term. That can affect the mortality rate too. I bet most if not all will survive. You have good stock it appears.
Spray them with your homemade plant spray. Mine always gets aphids and some other bugs. Water, dawn, baking soda or whatever you used on the garden. Spray over the top and underneath, that is where the aphids lay eggs.
Roxanne consider putting several layers of cardboard on ground between your raised beds then put small gravel small round is easier to walk on. Looks nice, all the weeds cannot come thru- lot less work for you once it is done
I grow sunflowers and if you let them die out the seeds will fall to the ground and you won’t have to plant them every year. They will come back up.
Wow 12 babies, your garden is looking good. I wish I had a yard to plant. But that's ok I can plant in pots! Have a good day!
For your rose bush with the yellow leaves try to sprinkle in Epsom salt around it and water it in
When I plant my seeds, I use skewers. It help ID the seeds so I then only direct water the seeds vs water everything creating weeds. Since you and SLR is getting his 2 baby goats from David maybe make their area between to 2 houses so they stay together until the grown and you’ll add more. Congratulations Jessica 10 wow. I’m city folk, and that blows my mind. Anthony seem wow too.
Rose leaves turn yellow because the pH of the soil is too high, or there's not enough iron.
How do you check the soil if pH is too high 😮
I'm so happy about the 10 babies. Can't wait to see them. Bruce looks so happy today, he knows he home! The garden, the clover, everything is so beautiful, you guys have made a beautiful home and a beautiful life together. ❤❤❤
Exciting news about the bunnies ❤❤❤Hoping your pumpkins do well
Keep your coffee grinds and add them to your rose bushes as a fertiliser. Once every 6 weeks 👍
Congratulations Jessica! Talk about an overachiever! Lilian and Jayna looked very zen in the veggie garden too. They're so cute. Everything looks wonderful. All that hard work over the last few years has paid off in spades. And not forgetting the new screen door at the front. You made it look so easy Anthony. Well done both of you.
roxanne with many rose bushes if your soil has acidic particles it will yellow out the leafs try to find at home depot some booster soil to add around each plant that has yellow leafs also remember to mix right amount of miracle grow for them as it too can cause leafs to yellow out try watering 4 inches away from stem or with reduce mixture pour slowly over each plant next take and move soil with a tine fork and do add some dark planting soil on each plant
Congratulations on the 10 new baby bunnies!!!😊🎉❤ Wyatt will be pleased.😊
Rose leaves turn yellow because the pH of the soil is too high, or there's not enough iron in the soil. It can also be caused by a lack of oxygen when the plants are overwatered or the soil doesn't drain easily.
Now is a great time to get feeder piglets cheaper than buying adults, as your in the woods about 10 pigs per acre, acorns nuts weeds, and schrubs is free food for them
Hey Roxanne. Why are you not composting? Everything that you are pulling out as weeds from your prepared pumpkin bed should be going into a compost bin. You will make such excellent compost if you keep it damp. Will save you lots of money from not having to buy it. 😊😊
But row covers for your garden, to protect it from the cicadas that haven't arrived just yet. 😊 I have enough to cover the ground under the plants and all the way over everything. Cicadas will eat everything green. Also a heads u that copperheads love cicadas, so they will be very active so be on the look off for that
I just moved 22 from mom to grow out earlier this week. Roses really like Tanic Acid, just steep some tea bags and make up a gallon of tea (unsweetened) and set it out overnight and apply directly to the base of the plants. I usually use about 1/2 qt once a month on mine.
Roxanne get Anthony to build you a greenhouse so you can start your plants early then they will be ready to plant. Whiterock Homestead has one. Think they call it the high tower
I read rabbits can have 8-10 nipples and can have up to 12 kits. It’s not the lack of food that kills them, it’s illness or cold. So hopefully she’ll have enough nipples, or be good at juggling her kits around. It does say you can supplement her feedings but to do it in the nest, don’t take them out or she might not accept them back. You’ll know if they have fat bellies but some don’t. I can’t wait to see how your garden grows. I’m so envious. I’d love to have a garden. I’ll have to live vicariously through you!
Helping your rose bush scale back on the watering you may find that the yellowing of leaves go away, plus your drainage in that area might not drain well so you didn't need to water that much sounds like that could be your case here that's why you have yellowing leaves you should water them less like only water roses twice a week in the evening see how that works and if you need to add a day of watering then do so make it 3 days a week.. try that and see if that could be your problem with that bush.
Congrats on the bunnies ❤ . The garden will be amazing im sure . Screen door looks nice .
Years Ago we had a Pumpkin on porch, till it Rotted then my son kicked it off...a month or So later had sprawling Pumpkin patch😅😂😊
I have used a bag of pet cedar shavings around the stems of squash to prevent the squash worm from getting into the stem. It worked! I have now seen were they say to stake up the yellow squash will help with bugs.
Always breed all the females at the same time because if one only has six, the other mom with less will feed 2 more. The most my New Zealand rabbits had was eleven. The other 3 were given to other mothers. The mom's will except the other mom's babies.
Enjoyed Watching Awesome Garden Area Looking Great
Feed 4 with eye dropper, or small baby bottle. Every three hrs. I raised squirrels that way.
Maybe you can cover Squash and pumpkin with a large tarp when it's expected to drop to 30 and below
A really good suggestion for your roses put used coffee grounds around the base this will give it a lot more life and usually what happens is it is nitrogen deficient this will fix the issue
You all are doing such a wonderful job on the homestead. Rose's are just beautiful. And the rabbits are a wonderful blessing. That resent batch would be a great winter freezer harvest.
Make sure that the leaves are far enough from the soil. Roses need air to circulate around them , so you may need to prune to open it up some to prevent fungus, black spot.
You have one of the most enjoyable KZhead channels ..this was one of your best videos, baby bunnies, planting seeds soon to become food and beautiful flowers..and again you are by far the kindest animal owners on KZhead ..plus your side photos of nature and your animal, jufst perfect ❤️ ❤
Rox, clip the top off the roses bush. Put egg shells on the ground around your rose bushes, Also in a milk jug add 4 banana peals leave sitting in the sun for 4 days then put half cup on ground under rose bushes 1 time a week for 4 weeks, then 1 time a month all summer.
....or else grind your shells to powder and add that calcium powder to the soil, trim the leaves away from the ground and don't over water. Rot and disease are rose bush killers.
Roxanne and Ant, you have the most photogenic animals!!! 🥰🎶❤️🎶🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
The yellow is from to much water. You can deadhead the top of the plant just enough to get rid of the bad spots
That’s great about the bun-buns! The best way to help their survival chances are to select the 4 fattest ones and remove them from the nest on night 3. Make them a nest in a box or big bowl and bring them inside. They miss a meal. Put them back the next day. The next night remove 4 other fattest. Then rinse and repeat, taking only the fattest each night. I have successfully done this on many occasions. Everybody gets fed. Everybody survives.
You could also consider putting a few with Mel’s bunny. Slip them in at dark. They may not be close enough in age though. I don’t like to breed just one rabbit at a time. It’s more stressful to me because of this situation. If you have 2 or three breed at same time it’s so easy to adopt large litters out to the ones with smaller litters.
Rabbits can double litter if they do you most likely will loose them ,so only put with buck once
Pumpkins, squashes should be planted in mounds not in rows. Put 5 seeds in each mound. ❤
suggestion when working soil for in ground garden work in some compost which helps with hardening and moisture retention once seeds sprout 🌱 may want to cover with mulch straw or lawn clippings help with moisture control and later be worked into soil building better soiil
When I was a kid, my uncle had a tick hound that was named dum dum you look just like the one you have almost
Those posts you laid down along the garden bed will be a nice boundary to weed eat against 👍
I planted sunflowers last year and got a few tht were 13 ft. tall. Saved the seeds from them to plant this year. Good luck on yours this year.
Anthony if you lower the bar at the back of the tiller it will hold it back and allow the tines to dig into soil deeper. This will give the roots more room to grow deeper.
Anthony and Roxanne, your Homestead is looking so awesome. Anthony, such a great video, loved the nature scenes you have a great eye for it. Lots of love from your crazy friend in ohio
Your pumpkins will take off it you get fertilizer on them.
Buy one of the small solar electric fence and run one wire around the pen
Your rabbit hutches are palaces. You two softees ❤❤. I agree with you Ant, keep the black male bunny as your pet. He is so adorable and you are already attached to him. All your animals have really well built enclosures. Cheers 🥂 PS I would have been surprised if Anthony didn’t “tidy up” the posts on the ground, it would have messed with his sense of order 😂😂😂
Wow your rabbits are growing so fast! Happy birthday! Has the Amaryllis bulbs I brought you Bloomed yet ? Those and the spider lilly should be blooming soon. Mine are blooming now.
Your rose leaves are yellow because of the ph balance needs more iron or their over watered or poor drainage. Use the rabbit poop on them, roses thrive on hat.
If you make hills or mounds to plant your pumpkin seeds, it helps the soil to get warmer and they germinate faster.
I enjoy watching your videos so much. ❤
You should stain all of the porch, awnings and screen doors
Roxanne, in a few weeks plant another round of sunflowers so you will have blooms longer!
That's what we used to do when my husband was alive and we still planted gardens. I'm in an apartment now so I can't have a regular garden anymore. I sure miss it. We always had beautiful, bountiful, gardens.
I planted the giant sunflower seeds last year and some of then we're over 12 ft some 19 ft
Try putting coffee grinds on the soil around the bottom of the plant. My mom did this and she had the most beautiful roses. Just a thought. They need to be pruned also to create strong roots. That's all I know!!!! Hope it helps. Good luck!!!!
It a fungus, Dissolve ½ teaspoon of baking soda and one teaspoon of liquid soap in a gallon of water. Using a spray bottle, spray on tops and bottoms of leaves until the mixture drips off. Repeat every two weeks until existing spots stop enlarging and new spots no longer appear.
Congrats on the new bunnies!
You may have to feed the baby bunnies if needed. ❤
The leaves on my roses would turn yellow when I over watered; ph in the soil could be off too.....
I grew huge pumpkins on my allotment.i was shocked how well they went considering our weather in the uk is crap most of the time
Use black pepper paste for squash bugs.
Hi Anthony & Roxanne glad to see that u r making ur garden going hey Anthony why don’t u put a automatic watering for the garden hope u take the idea I got the idea from ur sister and Gary because they did it in their garden May The Good Lord Bless ur family
Roxan. Go to robbie and gary. They sell netting really cheap. Ypu pit it over your sqiash plants. I made a tunnel. No squash bugs. And tou can water right through the netting. It was only 10 dollars. You won't be dissappointed!
Try a lavendar rose. Their scent is incredible. Someone told me they are among the most fragarent roses.
Old Fashion English Rose is the Best!!
I try not to use chemicals on the garden, but when the Dawn dish soap and water isn't working I'll get some seven dust and use a duster.
😂 Enjoying your videos in KENTUCKY
I would take a male bunny if you have one left! I live about 30 minutes from you!❤
You need a lot of room for pumpkins. They will take over the whole boc.
They do require a LOT of space. Quick Guide to Growing PumpkinsSpace pumpkin plants 2 to 5 feet apart (depending on the variety). Grow each pumpkin on a 3-foot wide mound of warm, fertile soil that has a pH of 6.0 to 6.8. Improve your native soil by mixing in several inches of aged compost or other rich organic matter.
SHOULD GET PIE PUMKINS TO REALLY IS GREAT FOR PIES. GREAT JOB LOVE THIS.
I wonder if the other rabbit still has milk and could help with some of them.
Hope all 10 do great!! Congratulations!! ❤😊
Made my comment too soon!! All 12!!!❤❤
You might try adding 4 tums around the perimeter. Sometimes plants turn yellow bc they need calcium. You can add crushed egg shells too, but they act slower.
That is amazing. Ten babies. You are such good guardians of your animals. They flourish under your care. Well done.
I used to run the egg shells in the blender until they were powdery. Then add them into the soil. But this is a slow process, and takes years to build up the soil. Plus side is that they have plenty of egg shells, it’s literally free to make and it’s all natural and will not harm the soil.
Maybe you guys could put some plastic and gravel down so you don't have to deal with weeds
ROXANN YPU ARE IN TIME FOR PUMPKIN AND ZUCCHINI. FRIJOLES. BLESSINGS FROM PUERTO RICO ETERNAL LIFE MANY ADVENTURES. ❤😊 HUGS TO YOU DEAR SWEET BOY. AND ALL YPUR FURRY BABIES. 🙏
I trim off bad leaves.... It could have a dead root. I put a bit of dirt around bottom pressed down i case air around it.
Good afternoon 🌞hope you have bunnies soon? Hope your pumpkins grow big enough for Halloween 🎃 Have a good day 🙏🇺🇲
Roses for your birthday that would be awesome waking up on your birthday and the roses all bloom.😊
I don't blame you for wanting keep a black one... So adorable ❤❤... 12 babies is crazy 😲❤️❤️
The dog pissed on your rose bush 😢
You should try planting in the right sign.. The Farmers Almanac.. I think you would see a big difference.. Happy Gardening!❤😊
hmm If Snowball's milk isn't dried up, curious if she can nurse half of them for Jessica (aka wet nurse, popular ages ago with humans).
Congrats on the baby bunnies.
I just wanted to share with you if you're not aware that they used jack-o-lantern pumpkins for pumpkin pie years ago . And also people can use scalded milk instead of evaporated milk
From my experience, the yellow is a sign that it is getting too much water.
A PKG I bought once, said plant Pumpkins in June. They came out but something ate them and I never tried again.
I would have to keep the black rabbits
Tulsa here..about 4-5 years ago a rose blight swept into town and I had 4 forever roses in one garden and 3 beautiful yellow everblooming roses from Home Depot(these 3 must have been infected when I bought them and they succumbed to the (it’s like a mold…I will try and find the name..my others from Costco were healthy but I didn’t see this coming at all and I must have contaminated my others by not cleaning my shears well enough!!!! Lesson learned…Luckily we had rooted shoots and gave them to a neighbor to grow so after a year of treating the soil from the infection and leaving it bare…we rooted shoots from the neighbors bush and now we have the 4 bushes back!!! 😊…will try to look up that name for you just in case!! It is a virus called rose rosette disease..it hit Tulsa in 2013 and killed the roses in the big municipal gardens and all of our own home gardens are affected…even the knockouts that are suppose to be super resistant!! I would take a photo of the bush and show whoever you bought it from…could just still be in shock too from planting!!
you need to plant pumpkins on a mound. Lots of youtube videos on how to do it
