Boss lock makes no sense as Borderlands is single player game in the first place. Even with coop there is no online or meta that is required to play… it’s just pointless to limit in-game pixels because arbitrary things.
no lockout did not mean much to me at the time. BL4 hopefully will have raid boss level content at release with just further content on expansions that would be nice.
its kinda ironic that people think that the devs are out of touch when bl3 has the best endgame of all of the titles. you have substantially more viable guns, builds, farms, etc all while still offering good difficulty. Bosses like seer and hemo arent a pushover for most builds, only the most cracked boss melters can really make them look weak. Bl2 could never dream of having comparable endgame gameplay.
Hah wrooong there’s no seraph or pearls to begin with the story is a joke the only dlc I found enjoyable was the hammerlock and wainwright and i was still extremely disappointed when I found out I wouldn’t be fighting the big ass monster shown and teased the entire time.the only redeeming qualities of bl3 are takedowns and mayhem

@@connerschiering1143 I don't think you actually read my comment lmao. Extra rarities doesn't do anything for endgame gameplay. There are still raid specific items, they just don't have unnecessary rarity. I never once mentioned the story, the dlcs are widely regarded to be some of the best in the entire series, your specific opinions about them do not speak for the general playerbase.

@connerschiering1143 a new rarity would be cool, but in bl3 the higher rarity was replaced by even harder to get ledgendaries
The worst part is that it locked you out sometimes even if your whole team got wiped. It can still occasionally glitch where the freaking door won't open again if you die. I would have stopped playing raid bosses. I wouldn't have stopped Borderlands. That's just too extreme for something so little. Every one of the BL2 DLCs had bosses and loot pools of stuff I wanted. I didn't need to go through that hassle with a raid boss.

Clickbait title. Raid bosses are completely optional. A lockout (which never happened to me during my 300+ hours playtime) would NOT kill an entire game as your title is suggesting.

I recently started playing BL2 again after not touching it for years...but idk it's just not fun to me. I just finished overlook and it's hard for me to want to keep playing. Hell I find BL1 more fun than BL2 at this point

Don't get me wrong, BL2 has its issues. And _gameplay_ wise, BL3 is overall better. However, what people defending BL3, or just saying "Well, BL2 as kinda crap too" forget is that what we're talking about most, when we say BL3 sucks, is the story. How BL3 absolutely disregards nearly all of the established lore set up in Borderlands 1 and 2.

@@0xGRIDRUNR And I still said BL2 has it's issues. Because it does. Hells, I dropped the game because of the raid boss limit thing. I didn't know that wasn't a thing anymore. I'll probably pick BL2 up again because that issue is fixed now. Doesn't change the fact the BL3's story is an unmitigated disaster.
