Las year my brother was in hospital. I went from there to my home and this song starts to play in a classics radio station. I started to cry. He loved this song. I did not tell him about hear it again. One week later, he passed away. Now it is my anthem to remember him. As a song, it is magical. As a memory, it is tragical.

J'ai été bercée à Supertramp, souvenirs de départ en vacances en famille sur la route ensoleillée... Plus grande, je piquais les K7 de mes parents pour les passer en boucle dans mon walk-man. Rien que d'écrire ces mots, je me dis que c'était vraiment un autre monde, limite une autre planète... Ou alors j'ai vieilli et c'est mon regard qui a changé, mais ce morceau fait renaître l'âme de l'enfant que j'étais jadis

Pareil que vous Céline, Supertramp me rappelle tant de souvenirs de vacances fin des années 70 et début 80..Tous ceux qui ont connu cette période raisonnent comme vous, mais non, vous n'avez pas vieilli, justement, nous sommes restés ces éternels rêveurs. J'ai vu supertramp à Paris en 79 je crois, porte de Pantin (le zénith n'existait pas) et leur entrée sur scène avec "bonsoir Paris" reste inoubliable..

Supertramp is one of very few groups whose songs are all excellent. I don't think I've ever been disappointed in any of their songs. This particular one is pretty close to perfection to me. The vocals are raw and full of emotions and mesh so well with the tasteful and artistic music composition. It's peak level skills.

True. Isn't it impressive and doesn't it blow your mind to know this song is the last song on the last album they created together. They knew what they doing and they would never work together again and they have to say good bye saying .," ...dont leave me now....all alone in this...... don't leave me now...". People if you can get a hokd if it : but the album on Vinyl. Get and old or even cheap lp record player ( no need to spend thousands on a player get a starter player like even thr at lp 60) listen to it this album at one with this beung the last songband tell me you did not have an epiphany of sorts ... Go back and repeat it whenever you need a magical touch which is still rooted in reality... Thanks Supertramp...words cant we explain your music and thanks Rick and Rodger. God bless.

You have my sympathy This was a favorite of my wife i last played it for her in hospital on 19 may 2019 she passed away with me by her side the following day aged just 56 from cancer We were together for 25 wonderful years and best friends for 40 years i miss her so much

Well the radio only plays maybe 5 songs by this group ever because the radio is stupid. Logical song, take the long way home, bloody well right, breakfast in America, and give a little bit are all you will hear. And you’ll be lucky if it isn’t just 2 of these played on a loop. J'ai été bercée à Supertramp, souvenirs de départ en vacances en famille sur la route ensoleillée... Plus grande, je piquais les K7 de mes parents pour les passer en boucle dans mon walk-man. Supertramp is one of very few groups whose songs are all excellent. I don't think I've ever been disappointed in any of their songs. This particular one is pretty close to perfection to me. The vocals are raw and full of emotions and mesh so well with the tasteful and artistic music composition. It's peak level skills.
Especially the saxophone. I just love that. It sounds like the sax is telling a story all by itself. ❤
