17:48 - DC talk starts
You're the man
Wish I found this comment earlier lol I literally saw your comment a few seconds after they started talking about it.
This interview... Wow. Some true words of wisdom that we could really use right now. Thank you for this.
Until he retires, Dom will be my undisputed favourite fighter
lmao i know. some guys are really as full of themselves as Dom its incredible
@@jamesf8507 this cracked me tf up 🤣🤣
The book "The Ego-Less self" is awesome. A book that helped me a lot a few years ago.
this dude is a walking contradiction. his actions go against the philosophy he is preaching. showed no love to dc and when confronted insisted he was right.
Gotta appreciate Cruz for always giving us entertainment and exciting fights, good man.
Entertainment was stabbing DC that was funny. And it is kinda true. DC just talks wrestling moves
My man Dom has cracked the code. Love is and always will be the answer to all of this. Thank you Dom much respect and great fight well done 👍
Cruz has resurged in a huge way… an even bigger fan of this true Legend now!
Made a damn good case for the early stoppage in the Cejudo fight too haha
I love Cruz but man I don't see him beating Petr Yan anytime soon unfortunately...
It is funny seeing Dominick Cruz's critique of DC's commenting, because it is coming from the guy who said Connor was gassing Khabib out while being smashed.
😂
Peoples misconstrued that, granted he could of worded it better… regardless you guys continue bringing that up as if it defines his entire commentary career which is ridiculous
He was saying that’s all Conor could hope for, because Conor couldn’t do anything but try to last and hope Khabib gets gassed out in the process.
Man gotta love how Dom carry’s himself. Very inspiring. He has done the hard mental work, it feels like it. He is hard af
Agreed, you can feel the authenticity
Pause
I really like Dom. He's just so well spoken and really insightful and knowledeagble.
He's absolutely class, love Cruz.
Yeah, he's the idiots intellectual
Ariel is good at his job - the most enjoyable MMA reporter imo
At the press conferences, Dom turns the generic questioning of the reporters into words of wisdom. It must be nice to get someone like ariel, who does ask good questions
Numbra 1
It’s funny because everyone used to hate Ariel. I’ve always been a fan.
Hands down!
This was an amazing interview, and I must say Dom is a beautifully unique individual that is one of my top 5 favorite fighters of all time! His fight IQ is on a level The Einstein’s of MMA and preparation! Much love! Great job Ariel!
tryranny is coming this doesnt actually matter when it does
I feel like Dom is in my top 10' favorite people, not shure any more figters on the list.
@@lukebennett576 whose tryranny maybe try spelling
@@kgb9440 that's ironic
@@lukebennett576 what that gotta do with this, tyranny is coming but what that go to do with this vid
Dom's saying he didn't know he got dropped is interesting. I don't think people understand how disorentating fighting can be. I remember one of the first few times I wrestled in High School I vividly remember hearing my coaches SCREAMING at me to do something and I looked up to see them and they were upside down. I didn't even know what way was up I was so disorentated.
@Nsnsndns Bsbsndns he litterally said this after the fight
Upside-down means mid suplex. You glanced at coach right before dude scored 5 points... 💪🏾😎👊🏾
@@rconn4501 😭😭
@@rconn4501 lmaoo got his ass thrown
It's feels weird getting dropped. I didn't feel the punch but it for sure buckled my knees when it happened to me lol was like blinking and I woke up on the ground
Dom and Aldo are two of my top10 favorites of all time and seeing the surge they are both on i REALLY don't want them to fight each other and one has to get stopped in their title aspiration but on another note Damnit have I wanted to see that fight for well over a decade now.
I would rather see Aldo and TJ. That makes more sense rankings wise too I’m pretty much positive that Aldo would beat Dom right now
I agree with you💯 , 2 goats, pioneers, from WEC days. Both on a surge. Don't want either to lose, BUT...........
Aldo beats Cruz today, yesterday, tomorrow lol nobody beats Aldo except for Yan again maybe.
It’ll probably be Aldo vs Dilashaw and Cruz vs Sandhagen
@@nigelleeakamoneybanklocks8903 Aldo and Cruz are not comparable. No offence to Cruz.
Dominick cruz is always fascinating to listen to honestly I respect his straight shooter yet sarcastic conversation he’s a legend and a real dude
Yea most people don’t remember getting their lights put out you kinda just find yourself with your ass on the mat. From there you either survive or don’t. Props to him for being a warrior and not quitting
He didn’t get his lights put out bud
@@gamingperson1 any time someones body goes limp like that and they drop to the ground that is their lights going out... It was just for a second and Cruz was able to recover quickly, but his lights definitely went out lol
@@Cmarf2 That’s correct. Even Jiri Prochazka admitted that Dom Reyes knocked him out for a couple seconds with that upkick. What you said is bang on, these guys can recover, but the lights were definitely off for a moment
@@gamingperson1 his body went entirely limp against the cage in the second knock down he even said he doesn’t remember getting knocked down that’s literally the definition of getting your lights put out. He just recovered remarkably came too it immediately and kept fighting
I love Dom but his comments about Cormier speaks for itself, I don't think the media "ran with it." What he said was straight up rude and unprofessional, nobody needed to put a twist on it to make it a story. He also was clearly taking a jab at Keith Peterson by praising Mark Goddard for not stopping the fight after he was dropped.
This is the greatest interview. Dominick you are my new favorite fighter my man! Routing for you big time 💜💪
THANK YOU SO MUCH. NEEDED THIS.
Beautiful interview. Thanks for the insight champ
The opening was a beautiful correlation by Ariel
I needed this interview. The situation I was in this year was literally life and death. Unfortunately the latter happe ned but no one knew where we would end up. Fear was a component in all of it.
Wow! the Best Fighter Perspective I have ever heard Thank You Dominick Cruz
This man is in a special place. Thank you Ariel for giving him time to share these important messages…🙏 Love’s hard when fear takes hold but we can find a way to accept each other more each day.
This was gold .What a dope place to see both these og's of the game shining .
This whole interview is everything we need to hear right now!!!
Good gracious Dom was dropping hella wisdom. Was a fan, now a bigger fan. Really cool conversation.
WHAT AN INTERVIEW! WOW!!!! Doms mind is BRILLIANT!!! Amazing amazing interview
DC has lots of energy but is a bit of a slacker if unchecked. I think the combination of Cruz's public criticism and Cormier's pride will produce a much better DC commentary in the coming years. Even the accusations of favoritism that got him pulled from an event recently will pay dividends in the future. If not, we can all look back and say that we knew all along that DC was just there whoohoos and giggles.
Cruz was asked by the UFC to "dumb it down a bit" on the commentary. Now we have a DC lol
He's just gonna rehire his ghost writer lol.
@@ramonbriones4487 Bet that's already done lmao.
The problem with cruz is he speaks in innuendo so he comes off as passive aggressive so people assume his talking crap whether he means to or not
What an interview. Dom always one of the best
Dom this interview feels like a great therapy for me. Begin to like Dominic Cruz more now
Human beings true nature is love and community/collaboration. Separation and division are a defense against fear when love isn't present. Dom is preaching truth in this
Dom is an amazing fighter, analyst and his thoughts in life are amazing. Thank you Dom for giving us new insights into life and in fighting.
Amazing interview Dom! I know exactly what you mean by "they are trying to separate us" in your post fight interview. You are awake to this whole situation as well
I honestly don’t think it was “vintage” Cruz. His movement/footwork isn’t as good and just doesn’t look as good as he use to, but he’s still a top contender. Not so sure if he’ll be a champ again tho
The world needed this interview !
I forget how much i like Dom whenever I hear these long form interviews. This guy is inspiring. I hope he has a few good fights left in him
If he picks his fights wisely he could but against killers it won’t go well
I hope he has a long happy career as an analyst afterwards
Thanks Dominic for being real. I believe what you had just said about we have to get together without judgment. Love is the answer for sure. God Bless You for that! Awesomeness!
Dom's one of the smartest fighters in the UFC but that mention of Marc Goddard was definitely a hit on Keith Peterson lmfao. No need to make an issue about Cruz taking a hit on Peterson, which is the media's fault especially since he didn't technically mention Peterson in any way.
Love this guy and his insights. IMO smart about his body and understanding his job is his biggest asset in longevity. Absolutely love Dom
Beautiful, Dom. I always respected, but now I admire. You spoke words of wisDOM & truth. Love & respect
Great honesty and more appreciation for Dom.
Well said Dom! You’re an inspiration!
Damn Cruz is a deep brother .! Talking about the world we live in , I love it
This turned way more philosophical than I was expecting. Made me want to pick up a book.
I had to retire numerous times, told I couldn't play rugby league, bad spinal injury, knee and both shoulders, from 17-25, I'm 34yr old now and no I have a lot to offer and wish I could do what this man has done, ur a bloody inspiration Dom go for gold!
We forget how much we love our heros while they're still breathing.
Dom sees reality clearly: it makes him a great analyst in general, and not just in MMA.
To me Dominick Cruz is a role model. He’s the perfect example of never give up
Legend in the game, successful in three different generation of fighters
Dom is a true warrior and a humble man! Nothing but respect ✊
Preach brother!!
I have to seriously agree with Dominic Cruz here. I after overcoming my substance abuse addictions and learning to deal with my anxiety and depression. I have learned to try and live by the exact Moto's Cruz is saying. That we don't fully understand anything, and so many of us don't know how to hold space with our own self when there is nothing to do so finding peace with yourself in nothingness is actually a huge skill that some never find comfort in. Trying not to let jealousy, hate, ignorance in thinking you know everything or are completely right about something, instead just finding peace in the unknown, finding beauty in the imperfections and almost letting your perspective find perfection within imperfection. Idk it's confusing but just contentment and perspective, patience, understanding, flexibility, willingness to help and work with others is just so important and trusting that even if we don't know anything that everything will be okay anyways if we go about life with the right perspective and don't get caught up on little meaningless stuff at the end of the day. I really like where Cruz mindset is. He must be looking at Nature as a guide because for me that's what helped me. Going on hikes in the woods here in Oregon. Really helped me over come my addictions and issues and dealing with harshness of life but still finding beauty and never losing hope in that the universe is amazing no matter what. Perspective is key. The little things really matter so much more then we realize sometimes. I too just had ACL replacement surgery that didn't heal well so I can't skateboard or run and jump like I always have been able too but I'm finding ways to stay at peace even with these hurdles. It's all about perspective and just finding ways to keep your inner childlike curiosity about the world alive really helps. It makes any negative become a thing you can convert into a positive or fuel for creativity if you just find the right Perspective.
thank you for this comment, as i too identify with this 100%. i will have 4 years clean from alprazolam on christmas eve, which was very humbling. being able to understand that we do not fully understand, holding space for oneself essientally. perspective is key.
so much words humanity ignore this day and age, thanks Dominick.
Dominick...I don't like to comment much, but love u bro 🙏God bless, be that LIGHT, but also be as light, as the straw that broke the camels back
Dom has reached enlightenment. Ut most respect!!!
thank you Dominick
Dominick Cruz is one of the most articulate fighters of all time.
Still my favourite fighter. Such a pleasure to listen to.
I see Cruz doing great work beyond the octagon. He has found peace within himself.
It's cool to see how much love this dude is receiving. He used to be disliked or a heel persona back in the WEC days.
That was an awsome quote donothing do something great stuff inspireing
Interesting interview.
I’ve never heard someone ramble more in my life oh my god
I absolutely love Dom! His raw honestly is brilliant, prickly as hell but that's what I like about him lol.
Dom's certainly unique. He can rationalize just about anything to his preferred view. Great fighter, though.
That's called arrogance, lol. Good thing is he's grown over the years.
Aside from Doms inability to to be self aware when in the wrong, he is remarkable lolol
how is telling the truth wrong? maybe your wrong?
Its called being based, you just blow in the wind like a insecure woman.
@@SuperBlueMoonWA 🤣🤣 you're not wrong.

We an all learn from Cruz... love my favorite fighter
hes the goat man, what a genius on the mic
Cruz out here dropping 💎
“I never said anything bad about Keith Peterson” “He smelled like alcohol and cigarettes”
Merely an observation. 😂
Wow! What a good perspective that man has. Cruz just seems to "get" it.
8:38 we are all ignorant of something 19:30 imo important for any communication too 19:50 honesty, clear respectful talks not leaving things to interpretations or emotions, playing games of he said she said 20:26
God damnit, I came here for a Dom interview and within 1 minute I have to relive the pain of DRose's injuries and those Bulls teams and what could've been. Thanks a alot, Ariel
I love this guy
great mindset Dom...
Always thought Cruz and Frank Mir are the most knowledgeable and articulate spoken guys in mma
Cruz has changed alot these past couple years. he seems so much more approachable and down to earth
Thanks dom
When he said "We are all One" one legend comes to mind....Genki Sudo
One day I will have a picture with this legend.
Happy Christmas Ariel.
"It's all about love" yet he trashes his boy in public. Whatta goofball.
He didn't trash him, he called him out and told the truth. Don't you do that for your family and friends that you love???
There's a time and a place.
That was incredibly classless how he threw Daniel Cormier under the bus, especially when Dom embarrassed himself during the Khabib Conor fight

Cruz always had a champions mentality. Great to see him fight at peak form despite almost getting finished in the first round. He looked great after regrouping.
Just wow!
Guy loves the sound of his own voice man, no wonder he mutes DC
You weird
Unsure if that make sense🤣🤣🤣
@@NicolaMaxwell your dog's cute tho
He sounds like a Scientologist.
@@ragnarvandermerwe9823 He studies philosophy and the ego in humankind. He's just stoic and smart.
I was never a cruz fan because of the beef with Faber. I loved Urijah. But honestly Dom is a real one. Last few years I have really enjoyed his interviews and especially his fights. Respect
I wasn't a big Dom fan back in the day but I am a huge fan now! Still, for me, not the most enjoyable style to watch but it is fairly unique and I definitely appreciate it more than I used to. As a person he's just a beast...his nick name should be Stone Cold the way he just delivers facts in a Larry David'esk way but without the humour. Love it...I'm working on incorporating that way of delivery more in my personal life. I think if he's gets and wins the Aldo fight he should absolutely be in the talk for the title next fight! But he's right, that's literally the part he's most correct about, he does no research on fighters at all.
