Literally they look like the same product - look at the colours! I'd be a little shook if I was Jacyln lol. I want to buy both just to put them side by side and see if the formulas are much different since James has practically every single one of Jacyln's colours in his own pallette with just a few bright additions.
Only Eternal Only Eternal except.. the pallets are completely different? A very large portion of Jaclyn’s pallet colors are more coppery, yellow/orange/browns shades with a couple of blues and a purple and some black. James’ palette is basically a rainbow pallet- with shades of red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, pink, brown, and a couple of neutrals. I’m not bashing on Jaclyn’s pallet at all, but, they’re really not the same. I can see how someone would think the lighter yellow and orange shades are similar to the James Charles pallet, but both products are definitely unique from each other.

I finally got this palette because everyone was raving about it and because I could see that you put so much work and passion into it. I think it's great that it's full of warm browns and rusty colors so that I can stick to my comfort zone, but also has a lot of cool shimmers and those blue/purples that push and inspire me to try something new. great job!

Ms. Hill. Thank you for the swatch demo. I love all of those colors and I actually felt your excitement when you opened your palette for the first time on KZhead. The fact that you actually have a matte brown made my eyelids twitch. Do you realize how long I've wanted and waited for someone to come out with a palette that has a matte brown??? BRAVO to you. So, I don't live near an Ulta and a Sephora is about 1-1/2 away. So, cheers for the internet. Almost forgot to mention that I'm 4 months away from turning 71 and I've been a makeup junkie since childhood. When my mom finally gave me permission to wear lipstick, I ran all the downtown. I finally got this palette like two months ago, and been playing with it constantly. I am IN LOVE. The only thing I’m missing in it to be the ultimate palette ever are a couple of mauve-dusty tones. So I just got a couple of single ones that I felt complemented the palette, and now I’m the happiest gal in the world ❤️

I bought this palette in October 2017 and I still use it 95% of the time. For a solid couple of months, it was the only eyeshadow in my collection. I’ve grown a little since then, but this palette still stands as my all time favorite. I’ve recommended this countless of times and completely swear by it. It’s so versatile and is truly a staple because it has a little bit of almost everything. I come back to this video sometimes to relive the magic, lol. It’s that great!

You know what you should do or would be really awesome...for you to create 5-7 looks with this palette and upload a video everyday for the week it launches. That way no one will be like "omg you already did a look with this pallet" bc it would be like a week of just launching/promoting your pallets. We're all going to buy the pallet so it would be nice if you could just give us a little more since we all had to wait SO long for this to come out. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I don't understand the comments saying the pallete is overpriced. It's ONE DOLLAR PER SHADOW. That's an incredible price! Also, she has NO control over shipping. Shipping varies a lot on international orders because it depends on so many factors (how many facilities they have, the type of product being shipped, etc.) I'm sooo excited for this palette and for you Jaclyn! Congratulations!
LaSa61 its overpriced, saying its around $1 an eyeshadow is a marketing tactic. there are many other well known palettes that are less than a dollar an eyeshadow. this is more expensive because morphee and jaclyn and all the other affiliates with codes have to make money off of it.
BrittBratBaby All the Naked palettes are $50 for 12 shadows. Lorac palettes are between $40 and $50 for between 10 and 16 shades. Anastasia Beverly Hills is $40 for 14 shades. Too Faced is $50 for 18 shades. Tarte is $50 for 12 shades. Kay Von D is $50 for 12 shades. Natasha Denona is $130 for 15 shades. So unless you're talking about drugstore palettes (most of which I don't think are worth ANY money) there really aren't cheaper palettes. And quite frankly, I prefer all of my Morphe palettes to my Naked palette. I actually gave it away because there is so much fallout for not much pigment. People complain that palettes aren't perfect but then complain about the price. You can't have it both ways. Is Morphe as good as Natasha Denona? No. But ND costs three times more. But I think Morphe is far better than drugstore and just as good, if not better, than some of the higher end palettes that cost more. Morphe is excellent quality for the price point.

I think $38 is a great price considering how many shades you get with great quality. Compare this to Kylie's non pigmented pallete's that have like 12 colors and it costs like $50 plus shipping.
I agree. I mean look at everyone that gets the Urban Decay palette's for $54 and you get 12 shadows. $38 was a steal for this palette.

I love Jaclyn, and I of course want to support her but the palette isn't quite worth almost £70 😕. I do really like the colours and texture of the shadows though 😊

I got this palette like a year ago. Since then NOTHING ELSE COMPARES. I love your volt collection but this is still my grab and go palette. To this day no other formula compares. Thank you for dedicating so much time to such a beautiful palette.
I rarely ever comment but the hate on this video is insane. 1. Yes, Jaclyn created this palette to make money. That is why every makeup brand creates product - to make money. That's the point. 2. For those complaining there is no mirror, I'm sure you have another mirror in your stash. These 35 shadow palettes are huge and not exactly designed for travel anyway so a travel mirror isn't necessary. 3. For those complaining about the price, are you kidding? The HUDA Beauty palette costs $65 and I'm sure most of you have purchased four-pan highlight palettes that cost more than this! There are 35 eyeshadows in here, meaning they are a little over $1 each. There are very few eyeshadows you can buy for a dollar and I'm sure the ones you can won't live up to this quality. 4. Literally who gives a crap about the cake? I haven't bothered to do a side-by-side comparison of the cake and the palette to see how close they are and if you have, just so you can throw shade, you honestly need to get a hobby or something. If she said they were the same, she would have ruined the surprise of the palette reveal. If she said they were different and they turned out to be the same, she was obviously just trying to throw people off the scent so as not to ruin the surprise! 5. Again, for those saying she is just scamming people for money/ she should give her money to charity etc., you're an idiot. Jaclyn does give to charity. Do all of us work hard at our jobs every day to give all of our money to charity? Perhaps we donate some but can you honestly tell me you haven't spent some of your hard-earned money on a treat for yourself? What people do with their own money is their own business. 6. For those complaining about the swatches, I honestly think swatches are hard to judge by regardless of how they're done. Some of my favourite eyeshadows swatch horribly but apply beautifully. Swatches give us an idea of colour but not performance. Stay tuned for reviews from multiple sources and be an informed consumer before spending money if you're so concerned about being scammed. I don't understand what has happened to KZhead in the past few years. It used to be an incredibly supportive community and now it is littered with so much hate from people who feel the need to point out every small negative and pick others apart. It's sick. I'm definitely not a die hard Jaclyn fan but I love that she is following her dream, is an incredibly passionate person and obviously put so much love into this product. She is an inspiration. Another thing regarding this cake nonsense: as a baker, let me tell you all, it would be next to impossible to create all 35 of these shades exactly using icing, glitter and shimmer sprays etc. You could be Duff from Ace of Cakes and still not make a cake that matches the palette!!

I got this palette for Christmas and, Jaclyn, I have to say, my collection wouldn't be complete without it! I love it so much. It took me a couple tries to get used to it, but now I almost always use at least one shade from it every time I do my makeup! Thanks for not giving up on perfection!

Okay, let's break this down. 35 shades for 38$. That is 1.09 for each eyeshadow. Every single shadow has been pressed and churned individually for maximum payoff so there will be no inconsistencies whatsoever. That is an amazing deal?! I can't believe people are complaining about how expensive it is! I understand some younger makeup lovers not being able to afford it, but you are getting far more than your money's worth with this palette. Not to mention this one palette has everything you need. You don't ever have to worry about getting another palette again (unless you are addicted like me lmao). Long story short: I'm surprised the palette isn't more, and I am praying to whoever is listening that I get a chance to get my hands on one of these beautiful babies!! I have been pretty uninspired with makeup for the past couple of months, products seem to come out and all look the same to me or not be totally POC friendly. Jaclyn, I cannot literally cannot thank you for making the shades be able to work for everyone a priority. This just shows that you want people to feel included and though of. It was February of 2013 and I had just been laid off of my job. 😔 I was so depressed and unsure of what I was doing but then I stumbled upon your video through Pinterest. It was a beautiful smokey eye, one of the best I have ever seen, and I was immediately hooked. Since that moment I can say, without a doubt, that I have watched every single video of yours. 🙌🏻 You are so incredibly talented and I was in such a bad place. I have to thank you for pulling me through. 🙏🏻 At that time I felt so alone and I found a best friend in you. To this day I refer to you as my "youtube bff". 😆 I feel like you're my long lost soul sister and I am so proud of the woman you have become. It is strange to think that one can feel this way about a person they have never met, but I do. I feel like I know you. I feel like I share your pain and your happiness. Hayli Schultz most of the comments I have seen are people who live outside the US the price of shipping is what they are mad at, as its the same price or more than the pallette. For example for me to send to Canada it is $30 shipping ontop of the $38 for the pallette, where as our friends in Australia shipping is $60 dollars plus the price of the pallette $38. I would love to support her but I have to think about the shipping charges which I know she does not control.

For those complaining about the price if you break it down it's not bad at all. If you use Jaclyn's code & another code like Kathleen's or something it goes from $38 to basically $31. Even if you just use Jaclyn's code it's less than $35. And I've never seen a bad word about Morphe until KZheadrs started collabing w/them & suddenly people hated them. I've used Morphe for about 2 years now and the quality is amazing! Shoot, the Urban Decay NAKED palettes & the Too Faced palettes are over $50 for nowhere near the same amount of colors! Just enjoy it people. If it's not your cup of tea then don't buy it, but don't come on here to ruin the fun & joy with your negativity and complaining.

In this video specifically, I noticed her neck getting a little red. I remember her telling us in a previous video that her neck would get red when she got nervous, and that's why her neck was so red in her first videos. So many people are angry because this palette and this youtuber aren't their idea of perfect. If you think it's basic, damn that's your opinion. If you wanted a mirror, I hope you put one in your palette when you bring it out. If you want brush swatches, just youtube/google it. People are so angry that this one palette didn't represent their individual perfection. This is her idea of perfect and she had the opportunity to make that. She is achieving her dream product and reveal, which is awesome. Just because it's not your dream reveal/palette, doesn't mean you need to hate on her for it. I don't see people tearing Stila or Nars to shreds for having cardboard packaging? I don't see people freaking out because people use their finger for swatches of the new naked heat palette? This feels like such a personal attack. I still use the Jaclyn Hill favourites morphe palette and I won't be purchasing this because shipping costs an arm and a leg. And now after all this time, this still is the one palette I wish for, together with the vault. This is the one palette that I've literally only heard good things about. I've never bought a high-end eyeshadow palette but I've been looking at this for months and I think I'm finally gonna get it. I'm so excited. It's obvious that a TON of hard work, time, and effort went into this palette.
