I do not want any more money spent upon procuring nor maintenance of the tilt-rotor aircraft known as the Ospreys. I want a new mark series, a redesign, of the C-2 Greyhound developed and procured, and, I want a new redesigned SeaKnight helicopter developed and procured for the King of England's Royal Navy. Which one(s) said," That will never happen." when asked what happens when one or both turboprop engines of an Osprey shuts off? Which one(s)? Military aircraft have been shot at before, sustained battle damage before. If both engines of an Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft shut down there is nothing that a pilot can do to moderate a crash landing of such an aircraft. That aircraft will not glide to a pilot controlled crash landing but will plumet to the ground or ocean, tumbling, cartwheeling thru the air until impact. The SeaKnight and Chinnook helicopters are perhaps the safest production aircraft in the world to this moment and with folding mainrotor blades the SeaKnight is more compact than the Osprey, costs less and could be built with a bigger fuselage. Range? SeaKnight helicopters could be fitted with external fuel tanks. Make a redesigned SeaKnight with a bigger fuselage, etc...There are those that hate America and Americans and they would have us waste our budgeted tax Dollars upon aircraft that we do not need and that would be the death of us all. Without having the numbers in front of I, are those Ospreys very expensive? Very expensive to maintain? I feel the need to stop writing here as I could have a fit, diastolic. No helicopters are safe, they’re all equally as dangerous to fly and operate.
