The UK is in it for the long term. And will purchase 138 jets buy 2035 Plus the UK is building the Tempest 6th generation Frighter jet with Japan and Italy buy 2035.

  • Why have two carriers and hangars full of extremely expensive aircraft when currently we don’t need them. Should the situation arise where a full complement of aircraft is needed then we can get them. You wouldn’t go out and buy foodstuffs that you don’t need just because you’ve got room for more would you???

  • so you have to go into the carrier from one tower to get into the other ..who made this crap

    @svenda7401@svenda740118 күн бұрын
    • You could look up why but I believe one tower is for Flight Control the other for the Ship. The Carrier has some dual redundancy on that I think. Because of a lot of automated Tec it requires less crew. It's a bit smaller than US Carriers but doesn't cost as much to run due to needing less crew.Its organised differently for its role. I'm not a naval person but that's what I have read. The Royal Navy must have reasons after all they originated the idea of a Carrier and also the Launch system many years ago. There will be pros and cons but when spending billions I dare say they gave it some thought.

    • You obviously have never been on an aircraft carrier or for that matter any warship, you don’t spend the day wandering around from one tower to the next. I was on the victorious,Hermes, eagle, Blake and never once went up the island, only down to the hangars, mess, galley etc.🇬🇧😊
