  • Fantastic spot. Great tips. Recommend not using saliva on line though. It breaks line down slightly. More of a problem if you are storing leaders

  • I've always wondered about floating the bait off of the bottom. What features are you looking for on the sonar when deciding to use a bait float?

  • For bank fishing, is 40 lb mono acceptable? What kind of rod can cast more than 8 oz - 12 oz if needed? Thanks for the spin-n-glo tip. I ordered a couple.

  • Great video! I really liked it. Good tips, even though I have been fishing sturgeons for a few year. Not from boat. Can you write the name and size of the hook? I cant hear it..... Best regards from Denmark!

  • Hi,thanx for this video. And question-How to find a sturgeon in the river?

    @ingoodmusic@ingoodmusic6 жыл бұрын
    • Hi! It really depends on your location, but you could try searching Google for sturgeon fishing on your local body of water. If you can find a local guide, they usually know the best sturgeon hot spots. Thanks for watching!

  • Are those the knots you always use? I wouldn't think a clinch knot would be that desirable for fish such a large species of fish.....

  • Hi, are you using a conventional reel on a spinning rod? How does that setup work? And thank you for a great , informative video.

    • Hi there, thanks for the compliment! We have had a hard time finding a high quality 9' medium/heavy action casting rod and we've definitely been looking. Our current setup works well but if you know of any rods that fit the bill, we'd love to know. Thanks!

      @FishFighterProducts@FishFighterProducts7 жыл бұрын
    • I understand. Spinning rods are everywhere in every configuration, but casting rods are difficult to find sometimes. Phenix has some I believe MH 9', but they (of course) aren't for the budget conscious :)

    • Big cat makes 7.6ft that is mh, and they make heavy 7.6ft quality is awesome!!! But it's not 9ft. They make it in a casting and spinning.. Both run around $84 with foam grips.. Might take a look!

  • I’ve hooked sturgeon fishing for salmon with glow spoons with 150 yards of 30 lb braid and they almost spooled me instantly had to run down river 3-4 hundred yards till I couldn’t run down anymore and break them off after fighting for half hour plus and only having 20 yards of line left because they almost spooled me sucks but I’m gonna go specially for sturgeon with my new reel has double the drag then the reel I use for salmon and that reel can stop a 15 pound salmon and drag it in like a bass

    @keiranrooker7981@keiranrooker79812 жыл бұрын
  • Can the barbless hooks set by themselves with a few pounds of drag pressure or do you swing the rod to set? Thanks.

    @robertgardner1234@robertgardner12344 жыл бұрын
    • Still set but doesn’t have to be that hard. They’re just regular hooks without barbs, not circle hooks. I usually basically just lift up

    @themastermind8127@themastermind81276 жыл бұрын
  • Terrible, why would you want the bait floating so high? Sturgeon are bottom feeders. Having a sliding weight like that would end up tangling with your leader line.
