How Sweep It Is! Rangers Defeat Caps In First Round Of Stanley Cup Playoffs | New York Rangers
The Rangers took the first 4 games of the first round against the Capitals for the complete series sweep and are officially the first NHL team to do so. Igor Shesterkin made 28 saves in his 4th consecutive playoff win and New York recieved goals from Kakko, Panarin, Trocheck, and an empty net goal to seal it from Jack Roslovic. The Rangers now wait to see who their next challenger will be from the Hurricanes Islanders series.

Troch is so underrated, between the faceoffs and leading us in scoring and doing plenty of assisting he's been on FIRE the last month or two, tbh he's prob our best player rn beside maybe Igor, idk his exact #s but they must be legit after that series atleast GAA though SV% could be lower cuz of the lower shot count they mention

He’s in a class with a very few other elites, and a huge bargain at the terms under which he was signed. We probably won’t get many PP opportunities against a much more disciplined team like the canes. We will need everyone to step it up a few notches
I love to watch the fluid rotation once the guys get set up for the power play, just waiting for that opening. Its absolutely deadly, almost a guaranteed goal.

There is a reason why he is on the 3rd pairing now. He blocks a fair number of shots but the dude can’t move the puck to save his life.
Ovechkin wasn’t stopped but the Rangers, he never even tried: he is only interested in regular season goals so he can pass Gretzky. He was a no-show in the series who was an overall negative in all 4 games. He should be ashamed.
