Rangers fans chant his name for a reason. Were spoiled going straight from King Henrik to him.
he not a king if no ring
ya think. plus richter before that
@@smellslikeproductions1024 He is King Henrik
The Islanders and Capitals teamed up to give the Rangers Igor.
Don't leave out Richter. Aside from a couple seasons between Richter and Lundqvist, they basically have not had to worry about goaltending for 30+ years. And really, VBK as well, so closing in on 40 years..
He is, and it's not even close. Rangers look completely unstoppable.
Yeah they probably win cup honestly
7 down, 9 to go... But still a long road ahead. LFGR!!
Igor is hot. Rangers’ penalty killing has been perfect and their power play has been pretty good. Mika, Vinny, Kreider, Panarin, Laffy, have been outstanding and the rest of the team is playing solid. Laviolette is a great coach and has excellent help (Peca, Housley, etc.). LGR!!!!!!!!!!
He HAS to be! He is THE reason the Rangers are the only remaining unbeaten team in these playoffs.
Not for nothing canes shoot from the easiest spots and think there gonna go in and all of there goals are from luck or tip ins they just have 1 good line and terrible deffesne the canes not built
@@patlaffey4687 While the Canes may have shelled Shesterkin with close to 50 shots for a second straight game, they were fortunate to have lived long enough to see overtime in that game because look at the number of breakaways and two-on-ones they gave up to the Rangers. Had the Rangers capitalized on these breaks, the score would've been much more decisive.
I said Rangers in 4 & could win a huge bet all because of my faith in this club
I said Rangers in 5. I never DREAMED a sweep was possible! LGR!!!
@@Justme77400 i had to take the bet for what i had to put in & what ill receive was too good
special teams, special plays, special players ☝️
Igor has been lights out since the all-star break.
Cheers guys! Great analysis, couldn’t agree more on Igor Shesterkin. This guy has definitely gotten in the hurricanes heads.
NY Rangers Are Undefeated in the Playoffs
It’s wild
IGOR 👑 👑 👑 👑
Igor plays better when facing a lot of shots perfect matchup against car
True, I play as a beer league goalie and seeing more rubber definitely makes me play better as the game goes on
Canes are just flicking a bunch of pucks at the net from along the boards, not downplaying Igor he’s been great but rangers d keeping a good job of keeping canes to the outside
@@Ck69420 both
@@Ck69420yeah no one talking about that I don’t think canes have had one 2-1 or 3-1 there deffesne is playing amazing
BRING OUT THE BROOMS BOYSSSSS
Special teams, goaltending, and scoring depth! And even tho some might dispute this I would argue that the Rangers have the better leadership. Not necessarily coaching although I think they do but what I really mean is the players themselves are setting the example for one another, grinding hard, winning battles, and maintaining their composure.
When you have a series like NRY-CAR, two suffocating teams, the difference is usually the elite goalie. The team with the elite goalie wins this series 9/10 times. IMO Igor is the best goalie left in these playoffs so the Rangers got an excellent shot to go all the way.
Also, Rangers defense has done a great job of limiting the number of grade A chances, and giving igor clean looks.
Doesn't matter...they could win every game from here on out 1-0 and the league would give the Conn Smyth to someone on the losing team.Just like how Panarin isn't even a finalist for the Hart Trophy.
💯
LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweep!!!!
Who is Swayman?
Bruin’s goalie.
#1 reg season PP and theyre 0/16 this series AND we got a shorty snd ciulda had more, maybe being the #3 PK for NY means more eso w the best goalie rn in net let gooooo
The rangers have scored more goals on Carolina’s pp than Carolina you can’t make this stuff up they are playing great
LGR!!!
But Carolinas the odds on favorite
Rangers play together LGR
The one thing that isn’t that great with the rangers and how they play is their shot volume, they tend to overdo it so they lose some key chances and mostly rely on deflected shots. With all that said, they are still the more comfortable team when they play while not controlling the pace of the game, and with Igor in net, they have good chances to sweep Carolina, hell, they might even rival the 1992-93 penguins’ 14playoff game winning streak. Who knows
The defending ECF champs Florida Panthers beat the Rangers in 7 in this years ECF. East still runs through Florida. You’ll see.
Keep under estimating them. They feast on your tears
They have to lose a game first 😂
Panthers over rated
Panthers better worry about the bruins
You spelled Jeremy Swayman wrong
The same one that got wrecked in the last game?
Lmao. Try again
It's unfair to compare the two 'tendies because the teams in front of them have not been playing the same. Boston's a good team, but their goal scorers have been really quiet in the playoffs (excepting R1 G1), which is unfair to Swayman, because he's stood on his head for them. The Rangers may fall behind in a game, but it doesn't demoralize them (like it seems to with Boston) and they find a way to win with Igor holding the line until they do. Unless Boston pulls themselves together, they're gonna be in trouble.
Oof. Jealous?
He was chased from the net last night, what are you talking about?
Yeah with so much eastern bias of course he is. New York is the center of the universe. Hes good of course but hes not that good.
That might be the most ridiculous comment I've read since the playoffs started. Igor is THE best goalie in hockey and he's crushing Carolinas soul right now
