  • This tall guy who grabbed the finisher's leg... He was a man of a big heart and a pure soul. It was shown at the beginning of the film how his whole native village was laughing at him. Nevertheless, knowing that he would die anyway, he still helped his fellow tribesman. And because of this, his death is ten times more tragic.

    • True! The actor playing the character is a Canadian Native American. I read an interview with him years ago and the guy mentioned many people were asking him about the animal testicles he eats at the beginning of the movie. They were made of rubber. :P

    • Почему у них нет своих воды и света Здесь возникает простой вопрос: почему на территории в 360 кв. км с населением больше двух миллионов человек нет своих воды, топлива и электроэнергии? Что мешало за все эти годы обустроить себя самим? Ответ лежит в истории сектора Газа. Рассмотрим современное существование сектора в XXI веке. Если ещё в 1980-е в Газе 20% территории занимали еврейские фермы, то к 2005 году Израиль принял решение эвакуировать оттуда поселенцев и вывести войска. Сектор получил право на самоуправление. В 2007 году в результате выборов к власти пришла группировка ХАМАС, которая быстро уничтожила своих противников и подчинила жизнь в секторе единственной цели - ликвидации Израиля. Вся экономика сектора перешла на военные рельсы. Вместо еды и одежды в Газе стали производить только оружие и боеприпасы. Когда в 2005 году израильтяне покинули сектор, мировые политологи и экономисты предсказывали ему невиданный расцвет. Туда должны были хлынуть деньги, субсидии от ООН, ОПЭК, ЕЭС, арабских стран и частных инвесторов. На них можно было бы поднять промышленность, технологии, построить новую Кремниевую долину, куда приехали бы лучшие умы. Но там не построили даже водокачку, а единственная слабенькая электростанция работала на мазуте, тоже поставляемом извне. Сектор предпочёл зависеть от израильских и в меньшей мере египетских поставок еды, воды, топлива, электроэнергии с израильской АЭС в Димоне (Израиль продолжает заботиться об оккупированной территории, даже если там уже 18 лет нет ни одного израильского солдата). ХАМАС палец о палец не ударил, чтобы обеспечить бытовые потребности жителей. Их обслуживают гуманитарные программы ООН и субсидии арабских стран - это пособия и продуктовые наборы. Выросли уже поколения людей, не знающих, как прокормить себя трудом..

    @lunaranger4921@lunaranger4921 Жыл бұрын
    • I agree but the brutality (and historical era) reflects the Aztecs more. I’m assuming Gibson just really liked the Mayan language because Aztecs were the ones who were at their height in the late 1400’s and early 1500’s. The Last Duel was more accurate because it’s based off an actual historical book while The Northman is just Viking Hamlet.

  • I have to say, regardless of what some might think, this to me, is one of the best movies I've ever seen and I would highly recommend it to anyone....it has a lot of stuff going on it and its somewhat historical although it is fiction, nevertheless, its got many interesting socioeconomic themes that occurred between tribes.......
