Four law enforcement officers were killed and four others were wounded in a shootout that erupted when a U.S. Marshals Task Force tried to serve a warrant for a felon wanted for possessing a firearm in North Carolina on Monday.

Sounds like the police shot themselves. There were about 30 police there and they all started shooting their guns at the same time. Some police were in front of the house, some behind it some on the sides.

Because someone was shooting from within the house and there was only the woman and young man OR was there a third person that magically teleported out of the house and got away? No, this was a friendly fire incident. The woman in the kid never fired. When you have 30 officers randomly firing thousands of rounds of ammo, bad things happen and they accidentally shot a few of their own officers. It happens every now and then..

This is very very sad, but you have to wonder what tactics were used, and why the SWAT team was not used to serve a high risk felony warrant.
The police used the keystone cop tactic, where they shot the suspect dead, and then kept shooting until four other officers were dead.
Somebody messed up. This scene wasn't secured after suspect was detained. But still it sounds like information is being withheld.
