Gotta be careful with how high your sweeping foot is on the opponent’s leg, if he didn’t manage to take the weight off it as you pull him down that’s his MCL/ ACL gone

Noice! PSA the same side trip from rear standing is risky against athletic people because your hips touch the ground and whoever gets their hips up first has an advantage. Check out the cross trip from the back to keep hip height over your opponent 👍🏻

Great grappling but I really dislike guard pulling, in my opinion getting taken down into guard or pulling guard should give the opponent a point. This would provide greater incentives for takedowns and aggression

They want to end up in side control or half guard after taking you down. You dont want that so you pull guard that should give away a point.

For that "table top" sweep work on keeping control of the foot / pant grip of the bottom leg they'd use to stand with and "technical stand" with just your elbow on the mat. More control and they can't scramble.

Takedown score points. Foot sweeps are low risk high reward and can chain to other throws or wrestling single/double legs. A good counter to opponents foot sweeps? A foot sweep!

@law4546 I’m not saying it’s the same. Slamming is a deterrent for pulling a bullshit move. You can’t finger manipulate because it’s dangerous and goes against the spirit of the sport. Jumping guard utilizes arbitrary limits to improve your position. Nothing wrong with the butt scoot but jumping guard should be allowed to be punished
