    • @@SwaggerChiick1 Back in the 80s when Gretzky used to play, it was very hard to get the puck off of the ice because they played with wooden sticks, which were very heavy, and difficult to shoot with. Because of this, Gretzky had a hard time getting the puck off the ice when he played. Now it’s an ongoing joke in the hockey community, that the supposed Goat of the sport, could barely get the puck off the ice lol.

    • @@SwaggerChiick1 Gretzky has the most goals in NHL history, but he used to score more due to his dribbling, skating, hockey IQ etc. And he was the greatest passer of all time. BUT he wasn't a great "shooter", he wasn't a huge power forward with a HUGE heavy shot. So most of his goals scored by shooting very low on the goalie. Shooting it very high, or very low is usually the best way to score. He shot it mostly low. His wing-man Kurri used to shoot it high more often (he had a saying, "shoot it close & high".) So due to that, there was a "joke" going around, that Gretzky was SO BAD at shooting, that he couldn't even raise the puck! (Which was obviously false, you can look at his goals and see that some of them he did shoot high, even though mostly low) In Basketball terms, he is like Shaq, who scored A LOT, but almost never shot 3-pointers. So it's like them having a shootaround, someone asking Shaq "how do I shoot from the arc", and him saying "I don't know!"

In recent times, for example smaller "skill forward superstar" Phil Kessel defended him with his stick when the opposing team's Goon (John Scott) told that he was gonna beat him up & came after him. @otaviofrn_adv@otaviofrn_adv Жыл бұрын
    • @@otaviofrn_adv Actually I doubt it but if TNT wanted to partner with One of the big 4 an over the air networks for The Stanley Cup Finals it could be NBC. They are very thin with sports programming in early/late June other than horse racing ie Belmont Stakes and some golf. CBS does not seem they want to get into programming with any of the 3 of the big 4 sports leagues ie. NHL any time soon. That is of course other than covering the NFL in the Fall/early winter.
