8 Dumb Regular Guys Challenging Pro Fighters Again| Regular People VS Professional Fighters
Have you ever watched a professional fighter in action and thought to yourself “Yeah, that actually looks like the easiest thing ever!”, and then acted upon that thought? Probably not, because fighting is hard and the athletes, though mostly nice, are terrifying. Not everyone has been able to stop themselves, though! • Reporter vs Reem was pretty wholesome. He knew he had no chance and couldn’t hurt Reem in any way. Just how cool is it to be wrestling with such a big name for fun.

    • Looks like it was discussed beforehand that the reporter was going to try and go hard. They both were laughing when the reporter was helped up. I'm sure he knew he was overmatched but figured, what the hell, when is he ever going to get a chance to try this with a professional fighter. My example, I grew up a Spurs fan and am a month younger than Tony Parker. At my physical peak, I played tons of basketball and was a good athlete. I would say I'd love to play against Parker one on one since he's not much bigger than me. It wasn't because I thought I could hang, it was to see how completely overmatched I was against an NBA player.

Which was not respecting the belt that I had and the belt I was working to get, which at the time I had turned 16 and was trying to get my brown belt and was on my way to it. I now realize if I had gotten a black belt, when there are literal judokas (in Japan) who train hard every day for years upon years, even those you may see in the Olympics are all high-ranked black belts, most of them in traditional Japanese judo classes, they don't get more than a white belt and have to keep it for 8-10 years before even being considered for a black belt.

Eventually we all tried to box with him. He used only his left (he was a righty) and he beat us handily. Then one day another student not in our group challenged the boxer. The new guy told the golden glove boxer to use two hands. About 20 seconds into the fight the golden glove boxer hit the guy with a quick left and then a powerful right. I was in the ARMY when they were bringing in civilian contractors to get us our Modern Army Combatives certifications since it was too hard to send us to Benning. This was when Sean Sherk was still a super star. I remember this because it was a big deal when he came out and visited the gym we were training at. What I learned is that most of us, if not all of us, were too scared to spar with the professional fighters, despite a lot of the soldiers in our unit being at near-a-professional level, as per Matt Larsen himself. It takes a lot of courage to step inside the ring with someone who has a big name, even if the gap isn't as big as you may think it is.

He and his other Japanese members, all of whom were top ranked, went to Thailand to fight against Muay Thai. Except for him, they all got beaten. While Karate had trained them for accurate kicks and strikes, the Muay Thai fighters were trained for brutality - they could take punishment and their bones were steel. But you have to realize that they were fighting according to Muay Thai rules, which involve moves not allowed in a Shotokan competition. He won the fight by changing his tactic to that of a boxer - pacing himself and waiting for an opening.

Once that contestant's head was down, Rogan could have knocked him out in a dozen different ways. Knee, strike on the back of the head, punch to the ear, you name it. I'm sure it took a great measure of control to keep from inflicting the kind of punishment a professional fighter is ingrained to inflict. I gave a lot of props to Rogan that day. Through the whole scene, Rogan's expression never changed. It was just his calm, "puleeeeze" expression that I remember the most. If that street brawler could’ve managed to absorb pokes and jabs like a sponge and could swing back as tough as his mouth , it could’ve created a moment of the trained guys methods either becoming predictable a window to get hurt , and or by not going way that carreer fighters train to fight what their expected opponents in the ring or sparring partner fight back like, maybe just maybe chooses to do something out of the new for them cause their tries aren’t as affective and get smashed or choked or whatever could be. My Friend since grade schools older brother became a soldier in the CAF after graduating high school and seen em right after my son was born when he just had came back from being a sniper from over seas , told me bout the amount of headshots he accumulated and set up targets for fun , and paper targets were almost identical and he even picked few tree stumps that two of three we cut my shell out with his in same hole , so he did teach me bunch since then I’d never known but regardless my “tried” was just as good as his “trained” so as much as I agree that to get better at anything requires all the work you can put into it does not in any way any where whatsoever mean that the amount of x amount of training hard work practise etc declare , entitle or guarantee you shit for being successful in a challenge against another persons abilities to meet or beat the bar you’ve set just by the amount of what you e done
