Thanks, for slugs you will have to modify, slug barrel, valve, ect. In the end, you can just buy a gun with enough power, barrel that will shoot light weight slugs ready to go for cheaper. Unless you have or no a gunsmith. From the factory it is a solid gun decent Quality. If you just want to shoot pellets it’s hit and miss on factory barrel at least when I got mine 8+ years ago. Change to a drop in hammer forge barrel chocked, it was lights out. Then in its current state a tj liner for slugs and power mods to get mid Weight slugs near the 1000fps range

Are you using a stock Benjamin barrel on your .22 Marauder? I have been thinking about getting a .22 from another brand, but honestly from seeing your video the Marauder .22 is pretty darn bad ass! Especially with slugs. I would think you have a high performance valve to get that velocity. Is that right?

Good video. Want to tel all Marauder users a quick fact. Two exact same rifles bought at the same tame. One shoots .218 slugs very well and the other will shoot an 8 inch, yes eight inch, grouping at 40 yards. All manufacturers have a tolerance on the barrels, it just depends on your luck. Enjoy😀

Thanks, Your right about that! Original barrel (6) years ago shot 3/8 @35yards for year then I was lucky to get 3/4. When to 21g barracudas and it shot 1/2 @50 for year and half then that to went to @&$? Got the militia hummer forged barrel and it was lights out @50 3/8-1/2” it stayed true for two plus years until I decided to make it a slug gun Now I’m using a tj liner with 1-18 twist no choke for slugs and if I was any good at consistency shooting paper would do near hole in hole @50 with 27.5g doing 980fps

hello sr great vid. i hace a couple of questions. whats mods did you do to the marauder to shoot the slugs? what slugs are you sooting? what the longest shots youve taken with slugs in the marauder? would you say the marauder its a slug shooter? im looking for my next hunting gun and im considering either a .22 slug shooter or a .25 pellet shooter, i need good power and accuracy over 100 yards

Hey, been offshore. Tj liner 1-18 twist Sean pero version don’t know if they still have that version it was a request to ask for that version told to me by Tom the owner and builder of AAA slayers ect… if they don’t still have the Sean pero version I’m sure they have there standered .22 cal liners

Yes I understand, the guns they use are well worked over before they get them pretending like they are doing what they do from a gun straight out of the box. Everything is all candy and roses and if you don’t have there set up you can’t join the elite club, not worthy, not worth mentioning ect....... they just shoot the guns, very few no anything about building one or how it work they are there to steer people towards a sale of a product , the latest greatest eye candy. I really don’t get political over anything on today’s social media platforms that’s why your getting my soft and fussy view🤡 believe me, I fully understood what you were getting at and will take the time to look at your Instagram in the near future at the present time I think I delete the app off my phone years ago🙀

Thank you friend for understanding me I am a follower more than what they learn from you, and that is how you say those people do not explain to people how to tune the weapon or anything I am now going to make my own rifle take the good of each one in its operation and a power system with adjustable valve and a slingshot hammer of which the brocock is, a softer side lever when I enter my instagram you will see it, I made it for all calibers, you would only have to change the valve for each caliber and it will be very easy to change without screws will remove the barrel unscrewed the regulated one and with a pliers it will easily remove the valve I made many improvements here

Cathran valve, huma reg set at 165bar, fill to 3100psi. About (6) shots at this high power. To be fair, my transfer port has never been fully sealed been struggling. If I find a way to 100% seal it I would gain at least 100fps that way I could shoot heavier bullets or turn reg down to get more shots. I also have a 24” barrel factory barrel is 21” I think

Thanks, using nsa 27g flat base the ones they use to make before the new machines came in. Only got about 100 left🙀 I’m shooting them now at about 1000fps might start shooting there old 33g got about 400 of them once again there from before the new automated machines. Wish the big mold companies would make .217 molds that is realistic cause I would cast myself like I do for all my other slug shooters .

@@SOCALEXTREMEAIRGUNHUNTER swaged slugs are pure lead (should be). Mixing tin/antimony in with it makes it harder to swage and it wears out the dies faster. I have the press and dies. But I do agree the standard hollow point swaged slugs don’t expand at all. I can make hollow o give slugs as well (aka. Fx hybrids) and those puppies expand like a sob. I might do a feeler and see if the market wants a place who will make custom weight slugs (at a premium of course. Hand swaged slugs take awhile to make). I can make those fx hybrids with a at any weight you want. I make 32g hybrids with a dish back for my .25

A buddy machined the barrel, I ordered cathran balance valve, huma reg, hill Airguns gauge block, hammer, spring , all ports are at least 80% of bore, barrel port is oblong. Been using vinyl tube for transfer port (really hard to get it to seal right) I ordered the hill Airgun hftp @.194 ID , if it seal good should put me at about 1000+ FPS with 27.5g neilsons I put the gun together myself other than the machine work on barrel

Konus f30 ffp (6-20x I think from memory) it was my first ffp scope, it is mil-mil I prefer moa scopes mil is to coarse. Other than that it’s ok but will not buy again, I’m a Athlon guy now minus the konus and a vortex

Most pellet barrels have the wrong twist rate for slugs but some people have had success sizing the slug to the choke of the barrel

Cothran valve, tj liner 24” barrel, hill hammer, gauge block& spring also huma reg with the plume for a .30 cal (about 3” long vs .22 plume is only about 2” long) bigger plume more power, barrel transfer port about 80% of bore and slotted slightly longitudinal. Using vinyl transport tube between valve and barrel ( Home Depot ) because I couldn’t get metal one to seal that came with valve.

Yes and no, just about every Airgun who has been in it for 1+ years has or can do it. Even if you just got started airguning, the instruction are very Easy to understand plus there are a couple of dozen KZhead vids showing step by step where it’s vary hard to go wrong

@@SOCALEXTREMEAIRGUNHUNTER The crosshairs are a bit on the thin side for my old eyes. Just a hair bolder. I used to pest hunt a horse ranch. Slugs did exist so much, but I once took out 7 pigeons with one shot. Only needed 2 follow up shots. These look like Asian ring neck doves. Thanks.

The birds eat the farmers food that’s suppose to be for the cow/sheep/pigs, ect.... they also defecate in the food and water supply causing death and sickness to live stock requiring a daily vet visit to most farmers. At the tune of thousands in loss profit to the farmer perhaps you understand now

At 0:40 it looks like you hurt the left, killed the middle and missed the right bird. Why didn't you just take a clean shot right bird? At 0:50 that heads-shot is perfect. Slow motion replay shows brain existing left stage :-) I prefer body shots on birds especially pidgins as their head tend to bob around unpredictably. You demonstrate that neck shots are extremely effective. The 68. Whiskey guys, btw, run the slow motion footage in the end, and I think it makes their videos a lot more watchable. I just don't enjoy watching a bunch of animals die in slow motion. Hope it helps?

My point re slow motion was that I don't enjoy watching every shot in slow motion, and it takes 3 times longer because of it. That's two negatives. I only mentioned 68. Whiskey as an example of someone that I think does it better in that regard. While you may not care what I think, it doesn't make sense throwing shade at 68. Whiskey. Anyways, I will unsubscribe and get out of your hair.

hello sr great vid. i hace a couple of questions. whats mods did you do to the marauder to shoot the slugs? what slugs are you sooting? what the longest shots youve taken with slugs in the marauder? would you say the marauder its a slug shooter? im looking for my next hunting gun and im considering either a .22 slug shooter or a .25 pellet shooter, i need good power and accuracy over 100 yards
I know this comment was 2yrs ago but as someone who has a .25 cal pellet rifle, go for the .22 slug gun much more accurate and much more distance

Hey, been offshore. Tj liner 1-18 twist Sean pero version don’t know if they still have that version it was a request to ask for that version told to me by Tom the owner and builder of AAA slayers ect… if they don’t still have the Sean pero version I’m sure they have there standered .22 cal liners
Am also have marauder .22.if original barrel suitable for slugs? Then how many shots per fill? If possible send huma regulator link

Yes I understand, the guns they use are well worked over before they get them pretending like they are doing what they do from a gun straight out of the box. Thank you friend for understanding me I am a follower more than what they learn from you, and that is how you say those people do not explain to people how to tune the weapon or anything I am now going to make my own rifle take the good of each one in its operation and a power system with adjustable valve and a slingshot hammer of which the brocock is, a softer side lever when I enter my instagram you will see it, I made it for all calibers, you would only have to change the valve for each caliber and it will be very easy to change without screws will remove the barrel unscrewed the regulated one and with a pliers it will easily remove the valve I made many improvements here

Hey how did you tune your mrod to get this fps? How many consistent shots do you get and at what psi do you fill to?
Cathran valve, huma reg set at 165bar, fill to 3100psi. About (6) shots at this high power. To be fair, my transfer port has never been fully sealed been struggling. If I find a way to 100% seal it I would gain at least 100fps that way I could shoot heavier bullets or turn reg down to get more shots. I also have a 24” barrel factory barrel is 21” I think

Thanks, using nsa 27g flat base the ones they use to make before the new machines came in. Only got about 100 left🙀 I’m shooting them now at about 1000fps might start shooting there old 33g got about 400 of them once again there from before the new automated machines. Wish the big mold companies would make .217 molds that is realistic cause I would cast myself like I do for all my other slug shooters .

@@nsboost Yes I like them. I shoot the ZAN Projectiles out of (4) of my guns I only cast now for the 357 slayer and the 257 texan. Nsa shoot good but to hard of compound don’t expand easily
@@SOCALEXTREMEAIRGUNHUNTER swaged slugs are pure lead (should be). Mixing tin/antimony in with it makes it harder to swage and it wears out the dies faster. I have the press and dies. But I do agree the standard hollow point swaged slugs don’t expand at all. I can make hollow o give slugs as well (aka. Fx hybrids) and those puppies expand like a sob. I might do a feeler and see if the market wants a place who will make custom weight slugs (at a premium of course. Hand swaged slugs take awhile to make). I can make those fx hybrids with a at any weight you want. I make 32g hybrids with a dish back for my .25

A buddy machined the barrel, I ordered cathran balance valve, huma reg, hill Airguns gauge block, hammer, spring , all ports are at least 80% of bore, barrel port is oblong. Been using vinyl tube for transfer port (really hard to get it to seal right) I ordered the hill Airgun hftp @.194 ID , if it seal good should put me at about 1000+ FPS with 27.5g neilsons I put the gun together myself other than the machine work on barrel

Konus f30 ffp (6-20x I think from memory) it was my first ffp scope, it is mil-mil I prefer moa scopes mil is to coarse. Other than that it’s ok but will not buy again, I’m a Athlon guy now minus the konus and a vortex
Hello there how are you doing? Does a factory maruder in .22 or .25 need have a slug barrel for slugs? Mine shoots JBS pellets great shoots polymag ok decent but slugs all diff grains not consistent:(
Most pellet barrels have the wrong twist rate for slugs but some people have had success sizing the slug to the choke of the barrel

Any modifications to that Mrod, or is it factory stock?
Cothran valve, tj liner 24” barrel, hill hammer, gauge block& spring also huma reg with the plume for a .30 cal (about 3” long vs .22 plume is only about 2” long) bigger plume more power, barrel transfer port about 80% of bore and slotted slightly longitudinal. Using vinyl transport tube between valve and barrel ( Home Depot ) because I couldn’t get metal one to seal that came with valve.

Yes and no, just about every Airgun who has been in it for 1+ years has or can do it. Even if you just got started airguning, the instruction are very Easy to understand plus there are a couple of dozen KZhead vids showing step by step where it’s vary hard to go wrong

@@SOCALEXTREMEAIRGUNHUNTER The crosshairs are a bit on the thin side for my old eyes. Just a hair bolder. I used to pest hunt a horse ranch. Slugs did exist so much, but I once took out 7 pigeons with one shot. Only needed 2 follow up shots. These look like Asian ring neck doves. Thanks.

Yes it has huma reg, with plum for a .30 cal

@@honeybadger2514 It’s a .22 with a regulator plume made for a .30 cal. I only get about (7) regulated shots with it turn up as high as I have it with cathran valve pushing 27g @ 989fps

Why these birds are pest?
The birds eat the farmers food that’s suppose to be for the cow/sheep/pigs, ect.... they also defecate in the food and water supply causing death and sickness to live stock requiring a daily vet visit to most farmers. At the tune of thousands in loss profit to the farmer perhaps you understand now
At 0:40 it looks like you hurt the left, killed the middle and missed the right bird. Why didn't you just take a clean shot right bird? At 0:50 that heads-shot is perfect. Slow motion replay shows brain existing left stage :-) I prefer body shots on birds especially pidgins as their head tend to bob around unpredictably. You demonstrate that neck shots are extremely effective. The 68. Whiskey guys, btw, run the slow motion footage in the end, and I think it makes their videos a lot more watchable. I just don't enjoy watching a bunch of animals die in slow motion. Hope it helps?
The one that got its feathers ruffled got shot dead in the next hit. Im human, and miscalculated. As far as I know, 68 whiskey isn’t the standered on how to choreograph a movie. It’s all about choices.

My point re slow motion was that I don't enjoy watching every shot in slow motion, and it takes 3 times longer because of it. That's two negatives. I only mentioned 68. Whiskey as an example of someone that I think does it better in that regard. While you may not care what I think, it doesn't make sense throwing shade at 68. Whiskey. Anyways, I will unsubscribe and get out of your hair.
