I have best results from 37g zan projectiles @1000fps reg set to 155bar also have the slug kit and superior heavy barrel liner. NSA 35g also shoot well

Vulcan 3, it much easier to shoot, no poi change after traveling/temp change but they are both spot on now with the black arts barrel band on maverick and mav is a little more efficient at ultra high power and more knock down power

So, you prefer the FFP scope (which one are you using) , it makes a difference, well done. My Maverick is .25 600mm barrel reg set at 145, power wheel at 7 getting 1050fps & 60fpe with 30grn Zan slugs & FX Hybrids.......perfect for vermin clearing & the odd fox.
I like and use the Athlon tac 6-24x ffp , my last 3 scopes are Athlon tac I did make a bad call by getting the element nexus 6-24x ffp, I don’t meet the standards by far, maybe there middle high end titan do but I’ll never find out if it’s up to me.
Socal, could you tell me where your hunting? In one of the video I see a paintbal field just cant tell which one.

Impressive! Are there different diameters in the 37 grain zan slug you were shooting? I’m assuming you have one of the slug liners in that? If it’s the superior standard I must not be shooting slugs at a high enough velocity. I have my reg @130, around 910fps. Thank you for taking the time to make this vid!
Thanks, I have the superior heavy 700mm, reg @154bar, slug probe, Ernest Roe transfer port, those slugs only come in one diameter. From my understanding, the regular barrel that comes with it is pretty much only good for lighter weight slugs if at all. I never even shot (1) round out of the original barrel, those parts I mentioned above were waiting for the gun to show up and when it did I took it apart and installed and went from there. Most slugs like the 950+fps, hybrid shaped/style slugs can be ran 900-930 a lot better than straight on slugs because they have a skirt but so do zans but the zan skirt is very shallow vrs like a Fx hybrid
My maverick sniper.25 is completely stock reg came set on 105 power wheel on 7 is shooting 34gr jsb knock outs at 930-945fps and definitely shooting great groups. At 75yds i can cut holes but i am sure someone steadier can do better.
@@richardnewton5124 That’s great, my factory setting was a little higher I think but I installed the slug kit , high flow huma transfer port and heavy slug barrel before I even shot the gun. Never even ran a single pellet thru it to this day. Factory tune had nsa 33.5g doing 970fps on #(5) setting. Happy shooting and thanks for watching👍🏽

Ya the FX maverick is lights out laser! I've been shooting air rifles and different kinds over 45 yrs! This is true... I do pesting and hunting on 14 big farms. I dialed in my Maverick, had never had one before. I didn't see any birds one morning except one that kept going way up in the top of a 45 ft tree. I said I'm going to try it. I lined him up with about 4 moa and pulled.,. Wham!!! Feathers flew out everywhere! To all the amazement I measured it out to 78 yrds! No BS. Never shot a starling before this out that far. With a FX Maverick nonetheless. Lol there you have it folks. Oh, mine is the .30cal sniper version with Hawke 4-16× and used FX 44 grainerz. Pellets. Ed da pro snippin backyard man🔥💥💪😎

I wish you had shown the target up close. Im getting pretty close to MOA out of my Umarex origin, in .22, and my AV Avenger in .25. So what do you get for the extra $1000+ ?
You mean other than name brand🤡🤔lol well for me, I shoot heavy slugs at or just passed 1000fps. The guns you mentioned generally can’t produce that energy without heavy mods. I prefer for instance as an example to drive a Porsche than a ford. I like quality, function , accuracy. Economically, the resale value is a big part. As a consumer , in life I like a deal on anything but generally purchase mid to upper level items, but that’s just me because I can, not because I have to or need to. If my budget was shaped around low to mid then that would dictate my buying this or that. Thanks for watching and yes could have did a close up of target but a hole in hole is a hole in hole. But your right on should have cause I struggle shooting targets vs head shots on pest

Wow, amazing! My maverick .22 got more of a smacking sound to it, do you think i need to tone down the hammer? Don't know how you got more of a quiet sound but shooting at a nice distance and speed!
Hard to say, what gr pellet/bullet what is reg set at, how fast do it push your projectile, 700mm or 600mm barrel? At that time I was using odb moderator I use the dfl now that I use a black arts barrel band
@SOCALEXTREMEAIRGUNHUNTER I'm trying to put on pw 5 or 6 and leave pw7 for slugs. Shooting 18.13gr jsb currently at 885-900 fps but the sound is more like smacking, any tips on what to try to tone that sound down some without losing much fps? Thank you for replying
@@Andytn80 A moderator if the sound is out the muzzle if it is internal then to much hammer . It’s hard setting up for pellets and slugs, most people do one or the other
@SOCALEXTREMEAIRGUNHUNTER i messed around with it and got it consistently around 895-900 fps, reg #1=130 #2=105, wonder if adjusting some on the reg would help and take that hammer down a bit? Might be my last try, then I'll just stick with pellets.

Thanks, I’m using standard but do have the carbon liner inside instead of the orings. Have no intention to getting the tensioner or any other latest greatest thing a ma gig the paid crowd push as The Who’s who🤓

I like the Vulcan better, more accurate plus a traditional barrel cz high end. Don’t like having to take apart to adjust the reg and there is no dial to see what pressure your at though. I for one got the reg tester/setter so I know exactly the pressure but it’s not needed. Both are good guns just a matter of whitch you prefer to mess with. V3 in .22 will come tuned for 25g jsb pellets. The maverick I don’t know, before I even shot it a slug kit went in cause that’s all I have ever shot out of both of the. Mav like most Fx has poi shifts with weather change tried the tensioner didn’t work out so now have the black arts barrel band along with indexing the barrel. The v3 don’t have poi change at least not enough that you have to adjust a click or two to get it back. Both are a joy to shoot and from my vids you see they and I mean business 💥

Mr. Hunter, Sir: WOW!! Yes, I am a lowly-newbie, but I CONSTANTLY 'prowl' the KZhead circuit, looking at the shooting capabilities of the FX Impact M3, and the new model: The ' Maverick'. (I have a severe ground squirrel problem here, and trying to decide on the appropriate FX weapon, but having to consider 'COST' as well. Unfortunately, I am a 'lefty', and the cocking mechanism (as you already know) on the 'Mav' is not ambidextrous. JUST MAYBE,... I can retrain myself to shoot right-handed, but it will be a VERY arduous task to do so! I wish that FX would have 'provided' for us Lefties, but, alas, the M3 was their only answer. Also, it is a MAJOR STRETCH for my financial budget. In short, however, THAT WAS THE FINEST SHOOTING I HAVE EVER WITNESSED, BAR NONE!! Thank you for demonstrating what an EXCELLENT armament can do, in the hands of a TRULY EXPERIENCED MARKSMAN!!!! MY KUDOS to YOU!!!!...WOW!! The BEST video on youtube!! Thank you for taking the time to provide EXCELLENT 'stats' documentation as well!! Your nick-name should be 'WILLIAM TELL'!!
Thank you very much, the thing about Fx models the newer ones with the straw barrels, they shoot ok out the box once you index the barrel, tune for the weight of pellet/slug your going to shoot, and for slugs more money for a heave liner to shoot heave slugs, slug probe power kit, maybe a heavier hammer and that’s $200+ more dollars more🙀 If your looking for a very accurate gun with a traditional barrel I would look at the AGT Vulcan or uragan, they are cheaper in cost Quality just as good and unless your shooting very heavy slugs ready to go right out of box without any extras

I took a shot at a squirrel at about 20 yards using my maverick sniper .30. The poi was exactly where I aimed and the pop was so loud. I wanted to go for a head shot but was not confident in the gun but now, IT'S ON!

Yes, all the Fx line of guns that have that power plume makes that sound. Can’t get away from it at ultra high power shots, that big a@& chamber gets hungry🤡
Maybe a pop gun would be more suitable for you.

Show how you get that accuracy
I do nothing extra special except I Strip the silicone coating off the ZAN slugs and put spartan accuracy, oil on them. Little bit more slippery and don’t Fowl up the barrel as quick. I did the usual and indexed the barrel, yet as we all know, fx straw barrels lose poi easily so now I installed a carbon fiber tensioner system and had to change from the odb to the donnyfl lead dust colletor cause the harmonics were off and it didn’t like 1000fps with the odb one anymore😢 Anyway, as far as the ragged hole in the vid, I’m no bench rest guy cause lack of consistency on my part. If I had to do it again on any given day could be little worse or better. If I sit down anytime soon, will reshoot groups and post
You know what? If youdpractise proper breathing technique your groupings would close right up because you would be able to hold dead steady on target at the moment that you needed to.

Just a question, why shoot a poor little bird for no reason?
That innocent bird along with hundreds of others eat/defecate on food source witch leads to 1. Farmer has to keep full time veterinarian around for daily visits. 2. The amount of food they eat, the amount of livestock that get sick and die all of this cause thousands of dollars to the farmer annually witch inturns cause higher prices for consumers. Does that make sense do you understand now?

If it had not been for you, I NEVER would have found such a SPECTACULAR, reasonably-priced, PCP!! Then, in my continued research, I also found where you had purchased your very own Vulcan 3, as well, and your marksmanship at 150 yards was AGAIN, UNBELIEVABLE!! There is simply not enough SUPERLATIVES in the dictionary to FULLY describe your ability to handle a weapon as well as you are able to do!! You should be on sharp-shooting teams, and travel all across the U.S.!! You speak about the 'CROWDS".."THE FOLLOWERS" that espouse the very latest, and greatest weapon of the month!! LOL! Too bad your name is not 'out there' as you are so DESERVING OF MORE PUBLIC RECOGNITION!! Well, I better close for now. I want you to know JUST HOW VERY GREATFUL I AM, FOR YOUR GUIDANCE!! I AM GOING TO ORDER THE V3, in walnut, with a 700 mm barrel, and a few spare 'O' rings. I plan to purchase it from an overseas seller, as the price of $1337+shipping,.. (and a meager custom charge), That price is hard to beat! At my age of 82-years of age, I STILL find that I am not too old to have a little 'fun' doing the necessary 'De-PESTING' of my property, and that of my next door neighbor!! I plan to use pellets pretty much, and will go through a number of the brands/varieties to locate the best ones for my V3 rifle. Thanks for the kind words👍🏽 I think you will be just fine shooting pellet although out the box mine was set to shoot 25g jsb @925fps+- a little to hot for long range unless your barrel likes them and some do at that speed but most don’t . Let me know how it goes, and I no longer use a moderator on mine it don’t need it
