The winners ❤❤❤❤❤
My winner on Eurovision 2024 is Norway 🇸🇯
The band Gåte (pronunciation: Gaw-teh) interprets the song as a fight for freedom against evil forces. The song is based on a medieval ballad about a young girl who is bewitched by her evil stepmother. She transforms into a wolf, and must live alone in the forest. The only thing that can break the curse for the girl is to drink her brother's blood. One day the wolf/girl meets her stepmother in the forest. Stepmother is pregnant with a boy. The wolf kills the stepmother, drinks the blood and the curse is broken. Lyrics in English: I was a beautiful maiden With an evil stepmother, my mother died She conjured me into a sword and a needle And send me off to the king's estate My stepmother was furious When everyone liked me the best Then she turned me into a gray wolf mane and swore I should walk alone in the forest And I will never be whole and well Before I drink my brother's blood Background vocals: Then I tore out her left side So her blood flowed Then I drank my brother's blood
❤️ your reaction and the winner is 🇳🇴👍🥰❤️
There are English subtitles on their live performance from the national finals. You really ought to record another reaction video to that!
Nice reaction 🤘 I love this song and performance, it’s my favourite 😍 But I can’t vote for my own country so I’ll be voting for Italy 🇮🇹 Gåte (gaw-teh) has been a band for years (1999) and are known for being one of the best live bands in Norway🤘 Their genre is Norwegian folk music mixed with rock/metal Ulveham means wolfskin The intro is an old “kulokk”, a “kulokk” is when the women called/calls the cows home to be milked in the summer, often in the mountains. The chorus of the song is inspired by this “kulokk” The lyrics is inspired by a medieval folklore/ballade I recommend checking out the longer version, love it😍 Too bad they had to shorten it down to three minutes for Eurovision I also recommend checking out their live performance at the National Final😍 Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴
