  • Note: Soon after independence, the nation was engulfed in a civil war between various factions, which were typically distinguished from one another by clan affiliations.More than 500,000 people fled the region during this time due to persecution, deteriorating poverty, and better economic opportunities in the West or other former Soviet states.

    • Independence for CIS countries was independence from the Russian leadership BECAUSE OF China's Rise. Independence meant "wait and see whether China will actually accept you (because if they DON'T WANT YOU, you're all getting bombed in a future war)". Independence has NOTHING to do with America. America just tries to steal attention and has a weird and old relationship with northern india

  • I (and I think many others mayhaps) prefer the original style of you speaking English. It would be nice to see it return, unless having someone else dub over saves a lot of time. Though it is quite strange seeing someone who's voice I know out of sync with a new voice dubbing over. It feels like I'm a little kid again without cable watching my countries free TV channel that would play English movies at night with 1 guy doing all the dubbing for each character XD

Even though places like Atlanta on the other side of our country are huge contributors to our movie industry and have been for years. We still call the movie industry Hollywood for short. When we think of Indian cinema, we default to using "Bollywood" in a similar way. It's not necessarily accurate, but isn't intended to be disrespectful.

By hearing all the history from all neighbouring countries with Uzbekistan it looks like it shouldn't have been even existed maybe except Turkmenistan. If you hear to Tajiks they will say that Samarkand and Bukhara should be part of Tajikistan. If you listen to Kazakh they will say that all Tashkent and Navoi region should be part of Kazakhstan. It is just funny how this is funny and nonsense. But it's alright if by this they can high up their ego , we do not care. Anyway nothing will change and no one is able from this countries to change it.

  • It’s not serious when a documentary doesn’t check how to pronounce “Transoxiana”, or that Rahmon in Rahmon Nabiev is the first name, and in Emumali Rahmon it’s the last name

  • Just a small note: Lenin did not appoint Stalin as the new Soviet leader. In fact, Lenin wrote in his will that he did NOT want Stalin to take over, as he deemed Stalin dangerous. Stalin ignored his will and grabbed power anyways
